 Echo glanced down at the floor with a depressed look. Would be kind of cool to cheat death, but things always had a way of coming around and biting you in the ass for it. Not that Echo wanted to cheat death or anything. Just...the thought sounded kind of interesting. She continued to listen to Toppan speak. Echo perked up when she hears the name 'Luka'.''Eh? If i may ask...What happened to Luka?''she asked with great interest in the topic. From what Toppan was saying. It was clear Luka was her weapon, but that's all she gathered. Maybe that information was confidential or something.

Jeanne Toppan The doctor is: IN~!
A long silent fell over Toppan as she took in a deep breath and sighed, staring out the window as she took the lollipop out of her mouth...
"... His name wasn't 'Luka', you know. It was Lucius. Lucius Vidal. We only called him Luka because it sounded warmer."
She then let out a small chuckle as she recalled back to the time where they had fought the kishin Mephistopheles, and had nearly collapsed into the ambiguity of liminality rather than--
... She felt that indeterminacy. She woke to another state of mind, a mind between sleep and dream, and had connected to that link like never before...
It WAS like a border. A balance. And any minute, she could fall, and never wake. It was also a line between sanity and insanity.
And it felt good. It felt good when she had entered. Her body had never experienced so much... pleasure in her life.
But at the same time, she felt fear. Fear of falling and fear of rising. She wanted to stay in between.
She never slipped. She never fell. And she had never been so scared in her whole life. Just one slip, and she'd lose Luka for good...
If she hadn't have let go of his hand...!
Toppan gently closed her eyes as she remembered the sound of Luka's pleads and cries for returning to the other side.
At times, she felt like crying... At times, she felt like it was her fault, and that she should have never been so careless...
... But in the end, Toppan got to keep her soul. And Luka...
Mephistopheles got to keep his.
"... We were in a state of sleep. And we had to fight... that thing, and ended up closer to death than we had thought. In the end, I got to wake up on the other side, and Luka..."
Something in her voice didn't sound as cheery as it SHOULD have, but something told Bonnie and Clyde that she was still grieving over this poor man.
"... The seventh prince got to keep his soul."

Echo stared quietly at Toppan as she spoke. It would be disrespectful to apologize for her loss. So instead Echo placed her hand over her heart with a heartfelt look on her face.''Better the weapon...than our Technician.'' She spoke sincerely and shot a glance at Soi. As a weapon, it was their job to protect their Meister at all costs. She'd die happily doing so.''But that is unfortunate...my respects to him.'' Echo replied with a slight bow of the head. There wasn't much she could say in regards to Lucius because she didn't know him, but Echo still felt a little sympathetic towards Toppan. It must have been awful to loose him.

Toppan shook her head and smiled as she put back the lollipop in her mouth, "It's over and done with now. He would've wanted me to move on. But sooner or later... Mephistopheles will be looking for me... And when he does..."
Another wide, smug grin had crossed Toppan's face as she closed her eyes and shivered a bit, "I'll be waiting. Knowing him, he hasn't forgotten about me. Just like I haven't forgotten about him..."
She then looked over at Soi and then at Echo, "Take care to protect your precious loved ones; but be wise not to fall when you do."
There were times were Toppan appeared heavenly; with the glow and grace of an angel of mercy...
... But underneath that lay Death's own messenger.

Echo tilted her head slightly as she listened carefully to Toppan. ' Mephistopheles?' she assumed it was a Kishin of some sort..maybe or it could have been somebody completely different. Maybe this Nurse wasn't so bad after all...but Echo still didn't quite agree with her methods, at least she was...a good person? She shook off her thoughts and continued to listen with a content smile, silently cheering Toppan on. She was definitely one with a good battle spirit. Echo admired that. She slowly nodded and gave Toppan a bright smile. ''Thank you, Toppan. I'll be sure to take that to heart and remember it well.''Echo replied and finally popped the lollipop nurse Toppan gave to her in her mouth. It was rather difficult for Echo to deal with lollipops because of her teeth, but with a little concentration she pulled it off.

"Hmph," smiled Toppan as she walked over to her seat and sat back down with her legs crossed, sucking the lollipop as she did so before taking it out with a 'POP' noise. Clyde had already fallen asleep on Bonnie's lap, and Bonnie, who was seated near Echo, had been listening to Toppan's story very patiently with a smile.
"Ain't it the truth. That was beautiful, Miss Toppan."
Toppan then studied her lollipop and smiled, "You know, I've experimented with these lollipops, and I found that the best way to comfort someone is to give them candy. Sugar helps with a bit of therapy. And if it wasn't for a small dose of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, it would have never worked~."
Bonnie's face turned pale and looked at Echo as she enjoyed the lollipop with glee; she was eating WHAT?!

CRACK! That...was the sound of Echo breaking the lollipop with her teeth. Not because it was an accident...oh nono. It was her reaction to what Toppan was implying about her lollipop. Echo sat there with a baffled look.''W-what!? You put an illegal stimulant drug in the sucker?!'' she squeaked and continued chewing on the broken pieces. She couldn't help it...The lollipop tasted so good~! After she painfully swallowed she stuck the stem of the lollipop back in her mouth. It was an old habit she had, Echo had to almost constantly be chewing on something or she'd end up biting her lip.''You're a strange Nurse, Toppan...no offense or anything...'' She mumbled and averted her gaze from Toppan.

"Only a small gt," Toppan assured as she licked the lollipop, "Nothing bad. It's diluted, mind you, because of certain other chemicals I used in there. Should give you the feeling of a child and it's reward of candy. Want more~?" she asked as she handed her another lollipop, a purple one this time.
"Oooh~! You flatter me!" said Toppan as she waved her hand, giggling. Indeed, she was. But at least she wasn't... 'Evil'.
Right?
"Huh, well would you look at that," said Toppan as she pointed, "The little devil's waking up... Good thing, too. I was worried the drug wouldn't work. Heh, THEN I'd be in trouble," laughed Toppan as Bonnie stared at her long and hard...

 Soi Nécessita Engarde
Soi continued to sleep; his dreams had seemingly vanished, he was simply floating in black nothing; the nothingness being replaced with a pulse of color with each sound much like the visual effects of most audio programs. Clyde before he had fallen asleep was a Dark amber like brown; Bonnie whoever was a counter, light tan; Toppan's voice was a morphing blue seeming to change shades slowly like a lava lamb changing shape; while Echo was a Neon spaz of Rainbow.
Over time the color started to leave; and the voices grew muffled; until Soi slowly opened his eyes; he remained laying down, but looked around the room slightly seeing the four others. "Echo?" He asked confused, wondering how she had known they where back; clearly not remembering the conversation from before.

Echo made a small squeak as Toppan handed her the lollipop. She had already gotten over the fact that it was drugged. It was just...so good~!''Kyuu~ Than you, Toppan!'' Echo grinned as she took the lollipop and popped it in her mouth. Indeed she was very content with her surroundings now. Though, the tension in the room had gone down quite a bit. Echo perked up when she heard Soi call her name. ''Ooh Hey sleeping beauty!'' she teased and poked his cheek once. Though, something about her smile was off. The corners of her lips were twitching...it was as if she was resisting the urge to beat the crap out of him. Oooh No, Echo hadn't forgotten about what he said.

His gaze remained on Echo. "How did you know we had got back?" He asked, everything sense sitting down at the table of the Benders was blank; he had no idea at all what had happened. "and how did i get here?" He asked looking at Bonnie slightly before looking back towards Echo. He then rubbed his cheek where Echo had poked him. "...sorry; I know i said i would be safe" He said looking down slightly.

Echo raised a confused brow at Soi. 'So it seems he completely lost his memories from the mission.' Well from what he was asking..''Bonnie called me. I don't know what exactly happened back there.'' She replied and took the lollipop out of her mouth. Echo wasn't satisfied with his apology. Nope! He could have died! That was almost enough to give her a heart-attack! ''Ah...yeah, you did say that, didn't you?'' She cleared her throat and stuck her lollipop on his forehead. ''Hold that while i get the lead-pipe, Mmkay Soi?'' Echo sighed and trotted over and picked up the lead-pipe, swinging it over her shoulder. ''Now, What have i said about being careless?''she said with a wide grin, revealing her sharp teeth. She just might beat Soi to a pulp depending on his answer~

Soi looked at Echo confused as she told him to hold the lollipop. "Ummm okay..." He said holding it by the stick wondering why she was.... wait.... did she say.... lead-pipe? "Ack Damnit Echo?!" Soi yelled rolling out of the bed that he was laying in. "Don't Be, but its not my fault!" He yelled landing on his feet as he rolled of the bed, stumbling slightly as the pipe passed right by where his head had once been. He looked more shocked then anything; having almost been killed with a lead pipe after all.

After she missed his head with the lead pipe. She turned sharply on her heel and dropped the lead pipe. It made a loud clanking noise as it hit the ground. ''Then why! You jerk! I was worried sick about you!'' she barked and threw a punch at him. Echo was clearly upset about him getting hurt. After all, Death was not something you should take lightly...and he could have died! Thanks to Nurse Toppans creepy methods he was still alive, but even so. The thought was upsetting. Not to mention the timing was bad. She was tired and exhausted. and having a natural hate for Nurses and doctors didn't help, but this wasn't about Echo...it was about Soi. and he needed to be more careful! Dammit.

Soi listened to Echo as she spoke; she was right, he was sorry but he was sure that that wouldn't be enough, he was ready to dodge again, but then he jumped as he though that Echo was going to swing again at him; he the wrapped hi arms around her in a hug; mainly to keep it so that she couldn't swing at him again' and he knew that he was stronger then her so unless she took an arm off she wouldn't be able to get out.
"I'm sorry" He said looking down and smiling slightly; kissing her on the forehead lightly. "But I'm fine now aren't I?" He asked still looking down at Echo; his arms still around her. The kiss would ether Calm her down' Make her Shy again' or Freeze in place, all of which kept him safe compared to her being angry, and as a bonus; one of those was a good outcome, and another was cute. "What more do you wan't me to say other then sorry?" He asked still looking down at her with a smile.
