"What's the matter? Not quick enough?" He asked playfully. But he did put an "I'm sorry" look in his eyes, hoping that Jane wasn't too mad at him. After all, a protector is no good if she is mad at the one she is protecting.

"Its not your fault or anything. I just miss Lily. We were really close before I came here." Jo could feel tears prickling her eyes and she tried not to cry but one tear slipped out of her eye anyway. Lily was probably really lonely at home all alone..."But that doesn't mean that I couldn't be something more..."

 Zack saw the tear slip down her cheek. He made a mental note of what he needed to order a spy of his to find. He looked her in the eye. "And now we are really close. Sometimes being the King has it's advantages," he stated positively with a wink. He'd send a man to find her and her family. He would bring any he could back to him. He cared about her too much to let her tears of love go to waste. "Hey, wanna go play in the snow again?" he asked her. He heard Jack run in quickly, grab his bookbag and a bag of food Zack had made for him for lunch. Jack left as quickly as he came, off to school. Zack smiled at her. "It might make you feel better," he offered.

It made her heart leap for joy to see that look in his eye. "I know. And sometimes being the Kings guard has its advantages as well..." Jo giggled at him and stood up quickly. "If you say so..." Jo had a different thought in her head though. 'Just being with you does that my dear Zack.' She probably would never, ever tell him that."But that doesn't mean that I couldn't be something more..."

Zack smiled, glad to see that look on her face again. That smile always made him happy. He zipped his coat up a little bit, just to make sure it was still there. Then he stepped toward her so that there was no space between them, leaned to her ear and whipered, "Bet you can't beat me outside," challenging her, but yet.... it seemed like he couldn't move. He didn't want to leave from where he was. He could feel something inside. An impulse. But he didn't know what. "You start," he said softly, not wishing to show that his body wasn't allowing him to move. This was the first time he'd felt this way around her. Ever. It wasn't friendship that he was feeling but.... something more. ((Awwwww. I wish she would tell him that. It'd be sooo cute.))

She didn't want to move and when he didn't move, she figured there was something holding both of them back. She had never felt this way before. Somehow the knowledge that it was just the two of them in a room made her feel bolder. She reached up and gently brushed some of his hair out of his face. Her fingers tingled as they brushed against his skin. She lifted her dark eye to look at his. She couldn't do this. Jo knew she was a dangerous creature and that there could be no way this would work. He was just charmed by her the way everyone else was. She dropped her hand and eyes. "I...I can't do this..." She ran out of the room with tears falling down her face. Her feet made almost no sound as they pounded against the floor. She didn't stop running until her feet hit the cold ground. She slumped to the gound on her knees and covered her eyes with her hands. She sobbed quietly, preoccupied in her own thoughts."But that doesn't mean that I couldn't be something more..." ((I Know...but this is more fun^^))

she just laughed it off shake the snow out of her hair seeing the look in his eyes, she wondered if he understood she had lived with werewolves bfore him and that she was use to rough house a lot worse than anything he could do. Maybe he forgot when she was in her human form she laughed again taking a fist full of snow and throwing it his way.(Sorry i'm replying much exams this week ^^ wink

Zack froze as she left. He felt his heart begin to break but another advisor ran in with some new information. He looked him dead in the face. "Find the sister you all left behind. And the mother and father of Joshana. Bring me Lily," he demanded, his voice hardened. He didn't want politics right now. He had to go to Joshana. When she had touched his face, moved his hair... he just wanted to keep going. It felt so right. He ran outside, searching for her. He would find her. He ran out a door about 15 feet to the right of the one she exitted. He looked around frantically. "Joshana!" he shouted. He wanted her back. Her face when she left him.... he didn't want her like that. "Joshana..." he sighed sadly he glanced around for her slower and finally saw her. He ran to her side. He kneeled down beside her in the cold snow, his jeans getting wet and cold. But he didn't care. He wanted her happy. That was his first care. "Please Joshana... What can't you do?" he asked. He was a King. And a male. He wasn't trying to be a moron.... he just was. He hugged her. "Please, just tell me what you would wish from me," he whispered. "I don't like to see you cry," he said softly to her, his lips almost grazing her ear.

She didn't really want to be found but she didn't really hide herself either. She looked at him with tears still falling from her eyes. "Zack...I...I can't...We can't. What would everyone think? I get called names all the time and...I know that...Everything would be better that way..." She looked down at her hands. They were trembling and not from the cold. "So I can't..." It all made sense to Jo but she knew that she was rambling."But that doesn't mean that I couldn't be something more..."

Zack glared at her. "Who do you think you are talking to?" he asked her softly. "I don't care what others say about you. I care about you...." he stated. His heart was practically yelling at him to take it. His mind questioned his heart though. Not that he loved her, but that he should kiss her without permission. "I... I know you can't. But as an old friend and... as Zack. May I k-k-... kiss you?" he asked, listening to his heart and head. He stuttered slightly only from fear of a 'no'. He awaited for her to speak in the silence of shock coming from her.

Graham got hit by the snow directly in his face. He brushed it off, then laughed as he repeated her action, then rolled over to his back, looking at the stars. He smiled and sighed as the stars shone directly over head. "I wish I could do this more often. This war is bogus and there is no point."

Her heart swelled with joy but at the same time she knew, she was just a no good shapeshifter. She shook her head at his question, not to say no but because it confused her. Why would he ask such a thing. "What is the point if it can't go anywhere? People will talk and I...Zack...I..." She couldn't deal with all this indecision. She closed her eyes briefly before deciding what the heck. He had asked...As she opened her eyes she leaned forward, her face really, really close to his. "Do as you wish..." She whispered, her heart was racing again."But that doesn't mean that I couldn't be something more..."

Jane nodded sadly "Yes i know, your parents were actually thinking about a sneek attack on them tomorrow, they want me to go" she sighed running her hands through her hair knowing she would have fight the tiger again knowing she would have to kill again, she didn't like it but she had no choice in the matter.

"I'll talk to them; I don't want you to go and get hurt. Your the only friend I have out here Jane." He looked around enbarassed, then stared at the snow. He would have liked to say that "You mean much more to me than that," but he didn't have the confidence. "Plus, I don't think that they're gonna leave their teenage son alone in the castle." He smirked to her.

She laughed though the action never met her eyes, she know he couldn't like her, she knew that she wasn't well mannered nor was she as pretty as some of madiens in the towns. Thats was one of the reason she fought, because she had no one she needed reason she needed something to live for or she wouldn't be living at all "Yeah though your parents will be there that day i'm sure they can protect you"
