Tiashi climbed out of the pool and wrung out her hair. She was still dripping when she walked over to him. "Will you at least tell me why you won't swim? It's fun. I actually discovered that I missed it." Tiashi sat down on the concrete, so she wouldn't get everything soaked. She grabbed a towel and covered up with it.

"I promised my sisters I wouldn't get back into a pool after what happened to me when I was 6." Zach started to explain. "You know what happened right?" He asked.

Amelia Maeve Gibbs He's most likely thinking that I'm accident prone, which I am at times. At lease it has been a year since I twisted my my ankle last,Amelia thought to herself. She blushed slightly after his statement about being careful."Nice to meet you Mr. Archer, wish we could have met under different circumstances." She looked over at Osker and said," Nice to meet you too Osker." She then took the bag of ice away to see if the swelling had gone down but it hadn't. Dang it, Amelia thought as she put the bag of ice back on her ankle. "I hate to impose on you since we just met but could you help me get to my apartment? I still have my crutches from the last time I twisted my ankle last year so if you could just help me get to my place, that would be great." Amelia said as she looked for her cell phone and her keys that she let go of while falling.

Kayen was unsure about this place. It was new to her. Well... everything was new to her, not just this 'place' these apartments. She bit her bottom lip gently and one of her sand colored ears twitched in her nervousness. She fiddled with the strap to her backpack and looked at the apartments. She had already looked the place over and was moving in today. Her car was parked on the street. It wasn't the best of vehicles, as cars and trucks went, but it was hers and she liked it. It was a 1976 Ford truck, brown in color and slightly beat up, a small dent in the right front fender. Not her doing though. She had bought it that way.
She shifted the bag on her back and sighed to herself before looking around once more. Kayen saw many different people, some by the pool and two on the ground. It looked like the girl had been injured as the young man was wrapping her ankle. Perhaps people around here were nice?
She shifted and then headed towards them, hovering just a few feet away, unsure as to what to say. She turned, as if to leave and go back to her truck, then sighed and turned back to the two on the ground.
"Ahem. Ah... Hello..." Kayen looked at Archer and then at Amelia as she spoke. Her voice was quiet when she spoke, not shy but naturally quiet. Before she had spoken she caught the last of Amelia's words. So she lived in this apartment as well.

"Would I be asking if I knew?" She asked. She grabbed her clothes and began to change under the towel, so she could listen to the story. "But what I can say is. When I was young I almost drowned in water. I hated it EVER since, but I learned the past is the past, I can swim better, so it may not happen again and it might. We never know. Then again," She came out from under the towel when she was done changing, "your situation is a promise."

Zach smiled. "Yeah I had a bad accident when i was in a pool." He told Tiashi. "I was told by the doctor that it's a miracle that I'm still alive." He said sadly. "My sisters and my mother were gone shopping and I decided to go swimming." He explained. "Well while i was under water a jet malfunctioned and i was shot into the wall of the pool and needless to say it busted my head open and when my mother got back I had lost a lot of blood and my lungs were filled with water." He continued. "I was rushed to the hospital where the water was pumped from my lungs and my head was sewn shut while i had a blood transfusion." He said. "And after I was alright again my sisters made me promise never to get back into a pool." He finished.

"I gotcha," Tiashi said. She now began to relace her sneaker, thinking it would solve the tying issue. "I understand why you won't go swimming," was what she said. Tiashi supposed her parents wouldn't maker promise that because she would go swimming again anyhow. She decided to tell him her story. "Liora had fallen into the pool at our old house when, as I've repeated, was six years old. I was short for my age and still had to have water wings. However, this time I just jumped into the deep end, where she was. Little did I know, even though cats hated water, Liora can swim very well. Better than I could anyways. I couldn't find the power to get back up and stayed under for what had to be 2 or 3 minutes before Dad found me. He had to give me mouth to mouth." She shrugged not as bad as his experience but she felt like sharing anyways. She went to rebrushing her hair.

"Actually, I was the type of kid who never had many friends. Sometimes I even liked to be alone. Gave me peace of mind, you know?" She asked, looking over at him. She pulled her hair back and put it in a raggedy ponytail, leaving the bangs down. She tied it with the rose collar/chocker.

"No problem," Tiashi said leaning back. She looked at the clock on her phone. "Oh I need to go get ready, it's 2:30. The date's at 3:00.. Would you like to walk me to my apartment or stay with the people?" She asked. She slung her bag over her shoulder. Liora jumped in the bag.

"Kay. I live in room 103. Come on," Tiashi said reaching her hand out like it was no big deal. "Did you know that my parents are thinking of adopting?" Tiashi was excited about it. She would love to have a new little sister.

"Her name is Hina. She's very hyper, but I'll like that. Our apartment could use more energy." Tiashi said. Then she thought about it, "She's a dog, I believe, and she's so adorable!".
