{{Cue: The Darkness Nova}} James watched, relieved that his grenado had successfully managed to get Louis to stop his relentless attack. The fencer's momentum coming to a skidding halt literally. The corsair watched as he patted out the flames and tossed away the blindfold the effect of his Flash Bang had finally worn off it seemed. Though it had definitely given the corsair more of an advantage then he had thought it would. He charged energy into his gun, preparing to unleash a Blunderbuss as Louis placed his hands over his chest and darkness flowed from his hands a curious orb forming in his hand. The gunner's eyes darted around the arena warily as Heartless began to gather around the arena. 'This can't be good...'"Don't worry about them unless they try to interfere, focus on Louis!"'Aye!'Seemingly without thought anymore the corsair pulled the trigger, unleashing the six bullets of energy, all of them spiraling right at Louis. The recoil from the gun though in the corsair's fatigued state caused him to fall to one knee though.

((You want a music battle, fine you got one.)) [[Cue: Ultimate Truth]] Louis held his ground as the sound of the shot gun fire reached his ears. A sharp pain ran throughout several places on his body. With a hesitant glance down he saw the bullets hovering just fractions from piercing his body but pressing heavily to his skin. Darkness lined his body extending outward from the black orb he held between his hands. There was a moment of relief that ran through him then a sudden, far more sever stab of pain. Louis released the darkness at his control dispersing the darkness as his hands swiftly moved to two places. His right gripped his chest tightly while the other covered his mouth as he coughed up what appeared to be blood only a much darker shade of scarlet mixed with black. Louis lurched over slightly, trying to hold down whatever was tearing him up inside. There was no physical damage to his chest, though he gripped it tighter and tighter, "Damn... lucky shot..." Louis thrust himself upward with his entire body shaking violently as well as his pupils taking on a familiar shade of purple, "I'll show you... true pain." Louis' movements were were flickers as his rapier poised itself pointing straight down. Underneath, his left hand positioned itself along the blades path. With a heavy thrust he skewered the blade through his palm. Black and scarlet liquid ran along the paper thin blade beading at the tip. As the single drop fell the look on Louis' face could freeze a living man's heart mid-beat. "Shadow's Illusionary Tale : Frost Bitten Memory ~ 30% Distortion"The drop hit the floor resulting in a sudden blackening of the stage as well as anything in sight, details given light only by the red light leaking through the cracks in the scenery. Louis leveled out the sword in front of him and pulled it free with minimal damage to the hand but spraying the floor at his feet with a crescent of bright red in contrast to their surroundings. As the heartless at his sides were engulfed and devoured by this darkness he spoke, "Can your heart handle this pain? Or will it shatter in the face of torture?"

James watched as the blunderbuss made full impact with the fencer causing him to lurch over slightly as he seemed to be coughing up blood, though it seemed tainted, darker. More then likely from the darkness that the Shadowmancer had in his heart that had to be present in order for him to use such magic. His eyes narrowed in curiosity at what Louis said as he thrust his the blade through his palm and then as a single drop fell the look on Louis' face sent a shiver down the corsair's spine.
Suddenly the arena floor changed, all of it blackening as did all of the scenery surrounding them, the only light was the red light that was leaking through the cracks in the scenery, he watched as Louis pulled the rapier free from his hand and it sprayed the floor with what looked like blood in a crescent pattern. Even the heartless were devoured by the darkness that surrounded them.
"I'll show you what I can endure!"
He pulled the trigger two times, unleashing two bullets right at Louis without even thinking. He wouldn't let it show how afraid of what was going on he truly was. He would fight through it just like he always did.

((Now for probably one of my favorite songs of all time. Beautiful work of art. The lyrics are a little dark, but they're very, VERY fitting for Louis. It may seem slow for the setting and in contrast to the rest of the music we've used, but I believe it fits well from Louis' perspective/mental state.)) [[Cue: Si Deus Me Relinquit]] Louis did nothing as the bullets passed through the air and pierced him in two places. Louis didn't flinch, not a muscle twitched as his shoulder and side bled the same bright red out onto his darkened clothes. His eyes glowed in the dark as his figure dimmed further. Drops of blood hit the floor, puddling in small glowing spots only to slip into small etches in the floor and slide down the crooked paths. "In a world of uncertainty and madness abound. There can only be but one truth." Louis continued to fade out from view as more bright red eyes joined him, giving life to his pitch black back drop. As all but his violet eyes remained glowing with a solemn, almost sorrowful gaze amidst the darkness he closed his statement with a simple quote... "Memento Mori." Louis' presence then seemed to completely vanish, and the red eyes began to take physical form, sharp, thin bodied demons took slow steps out of the darkness surrounding James from all sides. Their jagged mouths opened slightly, revealing the same bright red interior as the blood on the floor. Each had elongated claws, all as long as daggers in themselves. Poised to strike they bent down releasing deep growls with bass that shook the depths of ones chest. With nothing else, they advanced, claws, teeth, and all their being bent on only one goal... devouring James.

James could only tell by the further bleeding that his bullets had made impact but other then that... nothing. Louis' figure faded further and further into nothingness. His words chilling as he continued to fade and bright red orbs began opening. The corsair could tell already they were eyes but they weren't to any Heartless. "Memento Mori." {{Cue: Silence of Time}} As the two words were spoken Louis seemed to completely vanish and the red eyes took on physical form. They could only be called demons bearing jagged teeth and claws like daggers. They unleashed a series of growls that reverberated in the nothingness and in the corsair's chest. And then they began approaching, their intent obvious. 'Fenrir... I'm going to need some help here.'"I'm ready.""I will not... Let you defeat me. Even in darkness there is always Light!" Beneath the corsair's feet a deep purple glyph appeared the full moon in the center illuminating the darkness. The glyph slowly spun but then increased in speed as it began to close in around the corsair, the purple light enveloping him, imbuing him with the power of the summon within his very soul. His fingers morphing into claws, his hat replaced with a hood that pulled down over his eyes. The hood resembled a wolf's head the eye slots though allowing his eyes to line up with them. The snout of the wolf's head falling into place over his nose, allowing the fangs from the upper mouth to hang down below it, the fur of the head running down to about his mid-back. His coat basically resembled wolf's fur as well. As the circle faded from existence the purple light seemed to emanate from the corsair himself. As the transformation ended James reared back his head and unleashed a bone chilling howl of his own. The Ecliptic Howl resonating through the darkness. Against normal enemies this would intimidate and potentially stun the ones in range of the sound. But against these demons he couldn't be sure. "Let's get this over with..."James spoke, his normal calm voice mixed with a timber that automatically carried with it a hint of a growl. Behind his back, his hexagun floated telekinetically waiting for his command. The clawed gloves that replaced his hands glowing with the same purple energy. Both of his arms were brought close to his chest, elbows pointed ahead as if he were crossing his arms. His "claws" faced out toward the enemies in front of him as he swiped them outward to his side, the energy claws of the Wolf Fang fist unleashed automatically as they arced out from his body hoping to hit all of the demons in front of him and beside him as well. The demons moved as though they read James' mind directly, shifting out of the way of the claw strikes long before they reached them. The closest rolled underneath and came up at James torso, dragging its claws across the floor, spraying sparks at his face as it lifted flung up at him. Another came from behind, and slashed horizontally at his back, another two from his sides stabbing at his rib cage from both angles. The last jumped up high, brought its leg up then down, moving with the momentum in order to cut off even an aerial escape. Meanwhile the blood traveled farther down the etchings of the floor giving off more eerie light as it spread. All the while, Louis was nowhere to be seen.

Before James could do anything to counteract them, they seemed to have not only dodged his attack but came down upon him from all sides and angles. He quickly raised his arms up to block the blow to his chest as the first one came in to strike, in a way this also protected the vital organs from coming into harm from the demons that came in at his side as well. However, not much could be done about the ones coming in from his back side. The horizontal slashes cutting deep causing his breath to come out in a beastly hiss. The kick from above sent him crashing to the floor as the demons swarmed him. Mentally he called out to his hexagun, the telekinetic weapon blasting a few times at the throng of demons trying to do anything he could to get rid of them.
'The Lunar Barrier only works on magic attacks and I can't focus any energy with these blasted monsters all over me...'

A few demons fell to his bullets, collapsing on the ground and spilling bright red ink onto the floor, further filling the crevices lining the arena before burning away into the darkness. The rest of the demons took James into the air, the one behind James ripped upwards along his back digging in with enough force to toss him up. In the air, he would be met by several more demons already taken flight long before he was thrown with black, featherless wings. They passed by him left and right, clawing at him until one leaped from the floor and collided with him, flipping in place so that it's claws tore into him over and over, just shallow enough not to cause fatal injury, just enough to cause the greatest measure of pain, finally finishing by driving its heel into the back of his head and sending him careening back at the floor. ((Note: You're free to counter any of this. This is what they're going/trying to do, not what they've already done.))

{{Cue: Irwin on Reflection}} James could do little as he was picked up and thrown into the air by the demons. he had done free falling before when he had fallen 30 feet from the platform back in Narnia. This time though he had actually been sent into the air. However, it was via the claws that dug yet again digging into his back. Mid-air combat, this was going to be interesting. He was forced to raise his arms yet again as demons with black featherless wings flew around him, trying to tear up at him as he did his best to maneuver his body out of the way. Suddenly he drew from his pocket a Fire Card, the familiar heat kind of soothing as it washed over his body. 'I hope this works...'He focused on his hexagun and poured energy into it through the telekinetic link. Pouring energy into it beyond the normal amount for Blunderbuss and enough that normally it would be pushing him to his limits. However, his limits were greatly extended due to his drive with Fenrir. The gun following up right with the demon that was flying at him from below and he pulled the trigger... The sound of a cannon resounded in the surrounding darkness as the gigantic blast of fire erupted from the barrels of the hexagun. The corsair could feel the heat as the blast flew at the demon coming at him from below trying to slice him up. He hoped that the blast would hit and blow the demon and any others that got caught in the path of the blast to shreds. Due to Fenrir's agility and dexterity being given to him through the drive, if the blast succeeded he would be able to land in a roll to prevent any severe damage from the impact. Patting himself off as his own flames licked at the fur that covered his coat in this form.

The demon shot by the blast flew back and splattered on the floor like broken glass, scattering the red liquid from one end of the arena to the other. As he landed, the demons hovered around him, seemingly contemplating their next move, before all at once they converged on him with a vengeance leaving no gap for escape. At the same moment their claws would drive themselves into him from every angle, a light shot up from the etchings in the floor coloring everything red for a moment with blinding intensity. For a second, it would be impossible to make out anything, then as the light dimmed a single figure stood before James some distance, someone he would recognize without a moment of thought, Michelle, "James? Wh-What are you doing here? What's going on? Wait... where am I?"

James looked around at the other demons, glaring daggers at them, his mouth curved into a snarl very fitting of his wolf like appearance. Suddenly though they all prepared to close in all around him trying to tear him to shreds. "Not again!"{{Cue: Those Who are Shining}} He growled at them and focused all of his lunar energy into his very core. His skin began to shine bright white, as from above a phantom image of a brilliant full moon appeared, the full circle shining down upon the corsair adding more light to the darkness. He raised his head shutting his eyes and let out a bone-chilling howl and the light all came down upon him and all the demons in a powerful blast. The Howling Moon hopefully obliterating all of the demons trying to attack... When the bright white light faded the corsair opened his eyes to see nothing but red as he looked around and saw before him a figure that brought nothing but joy to his heart. It was his wife Michelle. Without even thinking James ran up to her before suddenly stopping. Delighted though he was to see her again something didn't seem right. He would not allow his joy of seeing her again cloud his judgement, he was still very much ready for battle. 'It's not possible... How could she be here of all places...'He did not approach any closer but did his best to answer, his voice due to the drive still carrying that beastly edge to it. "I am not sure... I was fighting with Louis and he somehow brought me here, where ever here is. How did you get here love?"

Michelle shook her head, "I don't know. I was sitting in Disney Castle a moment ago, now I'm here. I'm so confused... what's going on." At that moment, a deep laughter shook the arena, cracks split along the floor and red chains sprang up entangling Michelle and lifting her into the air. A giant beast rose up behind her, lifting its arms which were also wrapped in the same chains. The chains tightened around her limbs and released a series of cracks followed by an exasperated scream, "Stupid girl... she should never have interfered." The monster pulled tighter, releasing more sickening snaps that echoed off into the distance, finally a chain gave and broke releasing one arm to fall limp at her side. With sorrowful look in her eyes she reached out to James. Just her hand hung outstretched to him, Tendrils of darkness shot in from all their surroundings and pierced her chest from several angles. Her body caught fire with black flames, still her hand stayed outstretched, reaching for her love. The world around them crumbled, black shards falling to the floor and shattering into nothing. Amidst the chaotic moment, there was a blur of movement behind James. The shadowmancer moved like lightning and thrust his blade at James' back aimed directly for his heart.

James listened to Michelle's words, her voice... he had missed hearing it. This couldn't be real and before his very eyes it became very unreal as laughter shook the whole arena and cracks split along the floor red chains entangling his wife before his very eyes. A huge beast then rose up and he watched as the chains tightened painfully around her limbs. He could do nothing as he heard the cracks of her bones... the monsters words filled the corsair with rage. {{Cue: FuryHe raised his gun, aiming it for the beast as suddenly darkness pierced Michelle's chest and the body caught into black flames while her hand did nothing more then stay outstretched reaching for him and he wouldn't... couldn't move to take it. Suddenly the world around them shattered and the darkness fell to the floor and just like that everything was gone... tears were in his eyes after having watched Michelle just be completely destroyed before his very eyes and yet there was also rage and fury that burned inside of him like fire. Fueling him, pushing him to new extremes. {{Cue: The Animal I Have BecomeIt was a good thing that he hadn't fully believed final part of the illusion to begin with as he turned at the last second before Louis' rapier stabbed into his heart. The stab managing to catch him in the side though as he managed to jump back to avoid the majority of the strike. In his rage, he fueled energy into his gun as the flames on the Fire Card he still had in his hand figuratively ignited and a Fire Shot was unleashed right at the Shadowmancer. "How dare you! How dare you think you can mess with my emotions like that!"

[[Cue: Madder Sky]] Louis curved his blade in front of him, breaking the fireball on his blade, deflecting the flames to each side in three ways, the third gliding overhead, "I wonder, what it was you saw." "Was it... the agony of one's self?" Louis tilted his head to the side strangely with his hair still yet to settle from the gust left behind from the impact, the whole time his eyes glowing a bright purple. Louis took a step forward and flung his blade diagonally across his body, whipping out a crescent projectile and sending it at James with similar speed to that of his blade. Regardless of whether he dodged or not, he continued, "Or perhaps, it was the pain of uncertainty and fear most prominent in your heart." Still mostly ignoring the reality of the situation having a conversation with the air at this point he continued after throwing out a flurry of projectiles, this time homing streams of black from the palm of his hand, "Or maybe, you suffer from the worst pain of all!" As the streams of darkness curved across the edges of the arena towards his opponent to trap him in the center, Louis advanced ignoring anything that might be coming his way, he would simply plow through it taking every hit coming his way, "The torturous agony of this wretched existence-" As Louis would be reaching his opponent, so would his projectiles, "The pain one can only feel when they love! Then had it torn from their grasp!" Louis raised his blade then drove it forward, "I'll end that pain! Regardless of the source! All pain! All suffering! I'll end it all!" "THIS IS THE END!"

{{Cue : Kyoudai Kasura YabouJames' eyes narrowed through the wolf mask as he watched Louis manage to parry away the Fire Shot. Louis didn't seem himself as he spoke, asking what it was that the corsair saw, his eyes glowing a bright purple that was wholly unnatural. He quickly jumped sideways dodging the crescent projectile that whipped out from the curving rapier, returning a shot at Louis. Despite it though he kept advancing, this time sending streams of darkness from his hand. Still seemingly talking to himself, trying to guess the pain that the corsair had experienced. Before he could do anything Louis had reached him as had the projectiles that were apparently homing. He could do nothing about them as they pounded into his back. However he quickly raised his right hand and swung using the Wolf Fang Fist to deflect the blade and then used his left hand in an upward slice trying to cut along Louis' body and knock him back. The telekinetic gun then fired another Blunderbuss at Louis to hopefully end the fight. "I refuse to let it end..."
