Here is an interview Miranda did for ScreenStar. She talks about her new album, Sparks Fly, Charities, and turning 17 in May.

Also, Sparks Fly is finally available TOMORROW! Who's excited?!

Miranda Cosgrove is on the move, literally and figuratively. Right now, this very minute, she's in a car with her mom, on their way to an appointment. Bigger picture, she's a total blur, starring as Carly Shay on Nickelodeon's hit series ICarly, celebrating the release of her first solo album, "Sparks Fly," preparing for the July premiere of the new animated feature, Despicable Me, and squeezing in time with friends and family, as well as school work and charity projects and, oh yeah, an exclusive interview with us to discuss all of the above.

Your album "Sparks Fly" is out now. How did you enjoy the process of making it?

I'd worked with Dr. Luke on "About You Now" for the iCarly soundtrack. He's a really amazing producer and he was one of my favorite people to work with. So when I was starting to do this album I really wanted to get to work with him again and to get to co-write with him. That was one of my main goals and I ended up getting to do that. It was a really cool experience, even though I was really nervous at first because he's written some of my absolutely favorite songs. I had like a little journal with some ideas written down. I play guitar, but he's an amazing guitar player. So I remember that I was really embarrassed to play guitar in front of him at first, but it turned out to be a really cool experience. I had a great time getting to make the CD.

How proud are you of the finished product?

I'm really proud of it. That's the main thing I was worried about when I first found out that I was going to get to make the album. Regardless of how it does or anything like that I just wanted to make something that I was proud of. I've done that, so I'm really happy.

You have a movie on the way, the animated feature Despicable Me, which will be out in July. What can you tell us about that?

Steve Carell is the lead in the movie. He's totally hysterical. He does this insane voice that sounds like a vampire-slash-Russian-slash…I don't know. It's really insane. I play the character Margo in the movie. He adopts three orphans, and I'm the oldest orphan. I'm a little bratty, but deep down I'm kindhearted. It was fun getting to do an animated movie because you get to put so much into it. You really can go over the top and go crazy to bring life to the character. I had a really good time. I met some of the other people when they were coming in and out of sessions, but I never actually got to work with other people. That's why it's completely different from acting on a TV show or a movie. But I got to meet Julie Andrews once when I went in to record, and I was freaking out because I absolutely love her. She does one of the other voices in the movie.

You're involved with several charities and causes, and your current project is called Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks. What is that, how did you get involved, and how can other people participate?

The Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks program is helping bring afterschool programs back into schools and is teaching students to make good snack choices. It's great being a part of the program because I get to meet with students that are in afterschool programs across the country. Growing up, I was involved in afterschool activities like baseball and music classes, and I want other kids to have these same experiences. Getting involved in afterschool programs is a great way to make friends, stay safe, and learn new things.

You'll turn seventeen in May. How much do you concern yourself about the idea of acting and performing for years to come, with the impact it has on your life, and with handling the pressure that comes with stardom?

Sometimes I worry about that just because I love acting and I love singing, and I really want to continue doing it. I look at actresses like Anne Hathaway and Reese Witherspoon, and of course I'd love to have a career like that. They really made it, going from being young and acting to being real movie stars. So I'd love to get to be like them, but also I want to go to college and I want to really explore my options.

Miranda Cosgrove sings about boys and crushes on her debut album, Sparks Fly, out Tuesday (April 27). The "iCarly" star admitted that the album's lead single, "Kissin' U," is about a real-life love interest.

"The song's about your first love or thinking you're falling in love, so it's just kind of a really happy, sweet song," she told MTV News. "I did write it about a guy, and I'm afraid he might have heard it and he's going to figure it out!"

Although the unnamed guy was also the inspiration for a few other tracks, luckily for him, Cosgrove's favorite song on Sparks Fly, "Disgusting," is not. "I love songs that are a little tongue-in-cheek," she said of the song.

The project is a follow-up to Cosgrove's five-song EP, About You Now, which found her working with a number of hitmakers, including Claude Kelly, Dr. Luke and the Matrix. With that in mind, MTV News asked what fans can expect of her sound now. "Pretty much all the songs are pop/rock," Cosgrove said. "I got to co-write on a lot of the songs. I was trying to find my musical style. I've been playing guitar since I was little."

As for the album's title, Cosgrove said it came from the first verse of "Kissin' U": "The reason I ended up naming it Sparks Fly [is because] those are the first two words you hear when you pop my album in."

The highest-paid child actor on TV doesn't star on a Disney Channel show. Nor does he headline one of Nickelodeon's many kid-friendly programs. The highest paid child actor on TV actually stars on the CBS hit show, 'Two and a Half Men.' His name is Angus T. Jones and he makes a whopping $250,000 per episode.

Earlier today, the New York Post revealed their list of the top 10 highest-paid kid actors on television today. After polling talent agents, casting agents, and other TV execs, they narrowed down TV's richest mini-moguls.

Surprisingly, Miley Cyrus didn't even make the top five. Though her franchise and 'Hannah Montana' namesake are worth millions (some even estimate a full billion), she's not making large chunks of change from her TV show. In fact, Cyrus makes around $15,000 an episode--landing her #6 on the list.

The second highest paid child actor on TV is Miranda Cosgrove, the star of hit Nickelodeon show 'iCarly.' This young lady makes roughly $160,000 an episode.

But after Jones and Cosgrove, there's a pretty big gap in salary for the rest of the list. The remaining eight actors make between $12,000 - $20,000 an episode. Not too shabby but certainly not in the same ballpark as Jones and Cosgrove.

Here is the rest of the list:

1. Angus T. Jones, 16
$250,000 an episode to spar with Charlie Sheen
'Two and a Half Men'
CBS

2. Miranda Cosgrove, 16
$180,000 per show
'iCarly'
Nickelodeon

3. Selena Gomez, 17
$25,000 per episode
'Wizards of Waverly Place'
Disney Channel

4. Dylan and Cole Sprouse, 17
$20,000 each per episode
'The Suite Life'
Disney Channel

4. Keke Palmer, 16
$20,000 an episode
'True Jackson, VP'
Nickelodeon

6. Miley Cyrus, 17
$15,000 per show but don't forget about her tours, movies, etc...
'Hannah Montana'
Disney Channel

7. Rico Rodriguez, 11
$15,000 a show and worth every penny!
'Modern Family'
ABC

8. Demi Lovato, 17
$12,000 per show
'Sonny With a Chance'
Disney Channel

9. Victoria Justice, 17
$12,000 an episode
'Victorious'
Nickelodeon

10. Atticus Shaffer, 11
$12,000 a show
'The Middle'
ABC
