The thought of sharing his space with someone, let alone his bed, usually made the boy stiffen and purse his lips in annoyance. But with Elle it felt natural. Even with her so close and the wall to his back he felt completely calm.
His hand moved up from her waist to find the source of the sound. One finger gently traced the loop and the bell before gnetly sliding down her cheek. "You are lovely, Elle, inside and out. And yes, even a blind man can tell that." There was a bit of humor in his soft voice as he lightly traced teh contours of her face.
"If you like. And when that one breaks or wears out there will always be more." Feeling the light press of her body to his he rested his arm around to her back. Letting her lay as closely as she wanted his forearm lay along her spine so that fingers could gently tangle in her long hair. "I do not know yet. For me it's enough that it will be written."

"Blind is beginning to seem like a relative term." Her tone was warm and sweet, a touch sleepy in a comfortable way. Her back arched a bit at his embrace, head leaning into his touch as her body curved forward against his. After a moment, she relaxed once more...eyes still closed, and smile spreading.
Her hand sought his shoulder as one eye opened. His silhouette was amazing, trimmed in light. "Did you know...that you are beautiful, Lonan? In any light, in any meaning. The lines of your face, and your pale eyes...the secrets of your skin and the darkness in your edged feathers..." She traced her finger near each as she spoke of it...from his brow to this jaw, down his shoulder and wing.

Her statement made the flicker-smile appear again for an instant. Gently, he pulled her closer, relishing the warmth of her pressed aginst his chest.
"What? No, I've never heard that nor thought of myself as such. Most people take one look and shy away, I have had no reason to think otherwise than there must be something about my appearance that sends them fleeing." His voice held no malice, only a simple statement of truth from experience. As each part was touched he relaxed further, letting his eyes close half way again. Rarely did he actually miss his sight. But just for a moment he would have liked to see Elle laying next to him.

She nodded quietly, not doubting his words. "You are striking, Lonan. All darks and lights, with the cut of a vengeful angel. Finding you watcing over the white drifts, outlined in darkness and moonlight, is one of the most beautiful images I hold. Under the golden sun, with the colors of the city pushing around you, you must stand out indeed." Someday, perhaps tomorrow, she would see that as well...and the thought made her smile.
"Let them flee, if they are so easily startled. Such a striking sight can be overwhelming for a mundane soul. Most though, of character, will feel the same as I, even if they don't have the courage to say such." Elle had no lack of courage, fingers trailing up his neck to tangle gently in his hair as well. To lay so close, so comfortable, to find such trust away from her sanctuary...
"Beautiful. More so with each breath."

"A vengeful angel?" He rolled the idea around on his tongue a bit and found it palateable. "I am no angel, Elle. Perhaps a Fallen if forced but definately nothing divine. Just another creation who happens to have a set of wings upon his back."
He listened as she spoke, finding no way to disbelieve her. Soon he felt an odd heat in his face, he had never actually blushed before and found himself startled that he felt warm without illness. The thought was gone soon enough when her hand tangled in his hair, drawing a soft sigh from his lips.
The heat in his face grew when she called him beautiful. He had no reason to believe it... other than her words. Not knowing what to say he found himself instead tracing the line of her mouth with his thumb. The skin was soft soft there and he found himself facinated by it. Out of respect he did nothing further than trace. Her entire face was mapped out in his mind to completion. The touch was simple affection bordering on a desire he didn't know how to approach, and so he didn't.

"Just the image you conjure, sweet...I pass no judgement on your salvation." Eyes closed in spinning contentment, Elle's warm breath filled the space between them as he brushed her lips...teeth catching his thumb gently upon his second pass. Lips sliding from it in something close to a kiss, she smiled with languid bliss.
Her hand moved gently from his hair to his neck, fingers tracing the lines of the scars across Lonan's chest. "Perhaps not divine, but who am I to say? I'll simply be lucky if you're here when I wake, and haven't faded into dreams and wishes."
Her hand curled against his chest as she tucked closer...lost in the warmth and comfort that purred between them. Her long walk was taking its toll, though the last thing she desired was sleep. What she desired was here, breathing in time with her.
[Goodnight! heart Good luck, and hang in there!]

The boy's eyes closed in contentement just hearing her voice in the cool room. He hadn't expected her to catch his thumb but didn't startle. Once released the hand moved to rub her back, pulling her closer at the same time.
One wing moved under thje covers to wraped around her back, pressing soft feathers to exposed skin as he made sure to keep her warm. "I promise to be here. A dream would have be an idiot to try to leave such a lovely woven dream-catcher as you."
The last words were barely a sigh as his eyes closed and his hands fell limp and still. He had no worries about his dreams this night. Nightmares were cowardly things and the woman laying next to him was more than enough to chase them away. Feeling her breath stir against his skin he let sleep close around him completely and drifted off to peaceful slumber.
[Thanks hun, you too!]

Elle's eyes opened slowly, long lashes lifting from her cheeks. Smiling ever so slightly, watching Lonan's face relax in sleep, she pulled him a bit closer. The warmth of his wing over her body thrummed through her, driving away the last of her stiffness.
Gently as she could, determined not to wake him, Elle burrowed forward until her forehead came to rest once more against his. She had been looking for so long, without ever acknowledging the void she had held.To find someone that felt like an equal, that demanded nothing and offered everything...someone she could give the same....
Her eyes closed once again, but the smile didn't fade...even as sleep claimed her. Dreams as sweet as she could recall awaited her, filled with breathless excitement and a thousand shades of shifting night.

The night passed peacefully. Draconayzia had probably returned and left again. She was never one to peek in unless she was needed.
Somehow they'd shifted during their sleep so that now Elle was laying partially over Lonan with the dark wings wrapped around her. He seemed content. One boon for him was that the chrystaline sunlight didn't affect his sleep in the least.
There was a look of rare peace on his face, scars obscured by the near blinding light coming from the window. The crimson streaks at the tip of his hair looked almost like strips of rubies in the early light. The house was chill but he didn't seem to notice nor care.

Elle shifted slightly as the light around them grew...finally yawning, eyes still closed. She was smiling again before she fully woke, knowing the feel of the feathers against her skin. Lonan hadn't strayed.
Eventually one eye opened, then the other...fingers creeping to the dark strands that settled across his forehead. Brushing them gently to the side, she waited until he gave sign of waking.
"Good morning, Lonan. I'm quite enjoying your nest...thank you." One arm still settled over him, Elle eased her weight to the side...giving him room to stretch.
"Did you dream? Or were you too busy in my thoughts to have dreams of your own?" Her voice was quiet, warm and sweet like tea as she gazed at his lovely pale face.

Lonan for that matter barely moved. He was quite content with Elle's slight warm weight on top of him.
The corners of his mouth twitched at the touch on his face, following it and leaning towards the gentle touch. The sign of waking was greatly deceiving. Though he usually woke easily enough and was awake in an instant something kept him from really waking up this time.
He rolled on his side to follow her, wings streatching in a way that didn't lift the blankets or suck cold air between the covers. Finding her side again he moved to pull her closer while letting his head rest at her neck. His eyes were still closed though lips aprted and gave some semblance of an answer. The sleepy words were too soft to carry beyond his lips. Apparently he was quite content to stay like this for a while, her warm breath stirring his hair as his brushed her neck. Snuggling closer to her his lips lightly brushed skin, cool and soft.

Eyes sinking closed happily, Elle's hand found a spot to settle upon Lonan's chest. "You're ruining mornings for me. What do I do tomorrow, when I wake without you?"
Sighing in sweet leisure, she stretched slowly...trembling from bottom up as she pushed her legs straight. Flopping back against him as her muscles relaxed, Elle let her fingers continue wandering over the lines upon his pale skin.
Distantly, Elle wondered how the scars came to be, but it was no doubt a dark and uneasily spoken tale. This moment was too precious to overcast.

"Mmph. Come back here to make it a better morning? And what's this about you dreaming about me?" There was an odd humor in his voice and his lips teased the skin of her neck as he spoke. He was in no hurry to change that.
Feeling the streatch and the tremble of morning-stiff limbs he pulled back for a moment. Letting the blankets and covers fall from around his back and arched upwards, wings spreading and and quivering for a moment. With a few good flaps they folded down again as he pulled the blankets back up over himself. A few shed feathers fell on the coverletmaking spattering of glitter-black among the matte.
"That has to be some of the best sleep I've had. Are you a magician? Or perhaps very good at distraction?"

Eyes still closed, Elle grinned...moving to give his mouth all the room it might need along the slender arch of her neck. "Every morning? Oh, my feet would be so sore! You might have to meet me halfway."
She was teasing as well, curling a bit out of the way as he stretched as well. Opening her eyes again, blinking in the light of the morning, she paused long enough to collect the stray feathers and settle them neatly together on the shelf.
"I'm no magician, but it was indeed a lovely sleep. I..." Her voice faded a bit, becoming a touch serious in a quiet and gentle tone. "Usually it takes a strong cup of tea to make the dreams and old memories fall quiet. Just being with you, though..."
Her smile was back. Elle leaned forward to nestle her cheek against his...burying her face in his soft hair and speaking ever so quietly beside his sensitive ear. "Perhaps...this is what we were missing."

He murred softly, lips vibrating against the skin under his mouth. Even with a sleep fogged mind he could get the barest hint of autumn leaves, herbs, and perhaps insense or hearth fire coming from her. "Perhaps swap mornings then? If that's not too much trouble for you?"
He was surprised taht Elle would have bad dreams. She seemed to bright a person to have anything but good dreams. Still that was always an illusion. "I didn't know others had the same problem. I usually meditate before sleeping and try to blank my mind. It's a tricky way to sleep and something always creeps in. But as you said, being with you seemed to solve that."
A shiver ran through him as her voice hit his ear. "Perhaps." He turned his head slightly and pressed his lips to the corner of her mouth. The touch was barely there and shy and left the teen a bit colored in the face but he didn't regret doing it.
