Santiago smirked at the rats and other animals sipping the water and saying what it tasted like. Smiling at Tori, he responded, "We can do it tomorrow, or whenever you like. I don't know how awake Naenia is going to be, since she's tired from expecting babies. Victor and Victoria are there too, and they just had a litter, so it's a packed house right now. We're still trying to find homes for the current litter." Smiling, he saw Biscuit get up and find a leaf. Scooping up water in it, she let the babies in the basket try it, which made them all happy. Santiago took a taste and smiled. It wasn't that bad. Letting Tori have some, Biscuit put the leaf down to use later if she felt like it.
Sighing again, Santiago smiled as he looked in the sunset, and then moved his eyes to Tori's.

Hitori looked over at Santiago feeling a bit happy after sipping the bubbly water, softly laying her head against him as she smiled. "Do you mind? me being so close?" She asked softly, looking over at the basket. Lilani smiled, looking down at the babys as she fluffed her tail up, crawling inside and becomming a nice fluffy pillow for the babys.
The fireworks, or in this case the stars, began to explode and shimmer, lighting up the skies in a wide array of colors.

Santiago almost jumped out of his skin when Tori leaned her head up against him. But, he kept his cool and smiled down at her. "I don't mind," he said, nuzzling her. Her fur was so soft, he smiled and leaned his head up against the top of hers as they stared up at the stars. The rats, even the little ones in the basket, were going nuts at the sight. Rafe turned and looked at the two foxes, and grabbed his mate's attention to look. They both snickered and continued to romp around with the others.

Comfortable against him, she closed her eyes, taking a small break from watching over the group. It was difficult to play mommy to almost 10 other critters. She yawned and nuzzled against him, warm and at ease.
Lilani looked up at the sky, her tail twitching. "So bright, but pretty." She smirked, covered in babys.
The skunks were watching in awe, finally silent, as the Tanuki and the fox were fighting to see who could count as many stars as possible.

Santiago nuzzled one of Tori's ears and whispered, "If you wanna take a break, I'll watch them for a little bit while you rest." Looking down at the basket, he smiled to see all the babies awake and looking at the stars. On the edge of the water, the other animals were lined up, staring at the sky. Santiago could see them in the sky where he didn't need to look straight up, so he watched as he calmly cuddled with Tori. This female made him feel happy, hopefully he did the same for her.

"Thank you, but i am okay."Hitori answered, her tail swishing as she closed her eyes a little, resting a bit but refusing to sleep. It would not be fair to leave the male in charge of her group as well as his.

Santiago smiled down at the female. When she closed her eyes, she looked calm and peaceful. When she was watching the little ones, she looked stressed sometimes. He didn't blame her, he had his own stresses with the rats.
At that moment, with the stars exploding over them, he knew he loved this fox from the moment he saw her, and he wondered if she felt the same.
((they've already technically had babies, and we need to decide who gets which ones, so I figure they can go ahead and fall in love))

Toris ears perked as the stars began to boom loudly again, her eyes flickering open for a moment or two before she sat up and watched. She leaned against Santiago, relaxed completely as the rest of the group finished watching the "finale", the last of the stars that rose before they fell for the night just in time for the sun to rise.

New years has passed, Lovedove draws near
Now begins the loving time of year
Hearts and Chocolates, love and hate
Woo her now before its too late~
The stars that burst into the multitude of colors fall from the sky, being replaced with the clean night as before. The trees start to bear strange heart shaped fruits and odd berries that are sweet, bitter, or a strange milk color that melt in your mouth (chocolate berries ya'll). The flowers bloom, revealing roses of every color, and petals float along the surface of the lakes as the birds overhead.. are small cherub-like creatures with wings, shooting arrows into the air that burst into rose petals and glimmering sparkles.

Hitori sat up, the last few days a blur as she rose to her feet, heading to the den's entrance. She paused, looking back to see everyone sleeping soundly. The fox shook her head, padding forward outside as she headed towards the beach. She was going to meet up with Santiago for a little while, she knew that she could leave for the moment. Spectrum could handle them, if not, she would punish them later by not letting them have any coco-berries.
"santiago?" She called out, looking around for him as her paws hit the sandy beach. This was definitly where she should be, this is where he and she had found eachother. "Are you there?"

Santiago had left his mate and the others in the den late last night. He had a lot to think about. Sitting at the edge of the water, he was looking out to the horizon when he heard her voice. "Yeah, I'm over here." Turning his head to her, he smiled.

She moved toward him, sitting down beside him as she licked his face and smiled. He looked.. troubled to her, and she softly nuzzled his neck to make him feel better. "You left early this morning. Is it the weather?"

Nuzzling her back, Santiago nodded. "There's a storm brewing up. I can feel it. I'm worried for you and the others." Santiago didn't want to say the children yet, because he didn't want to admit to himself that something could happen to their own kids.

"We'll be alright. Theres no need to worry Santiago. A Little rain wont dampen anything. We'll just stay inside." She rested her head against his, her tail wagging. "The pups.. will be just fine. I'll make sure to fix up the den so its safe... will your friends be alright without you? or would they like to stay with us. " She was thinking ahead, planning on maybe even expanding the den to become bigger and deeper, just to stay safe.

"We can't stay at the den. I'm taking you, the pups, and the others back to the burrow. I've gotta watch over the two probably new born litters we have there. This storm is going to be really bad, Tori. Not just a little rain. Reinbow and Spectrum will be fine here, but I fear for the little ones. " Nuzzling her, he got up, and let her follow him back to the den. Waiting for her to give the okay to move, he knew he had to go quickly. The main part where he slept was big enough for him and his new family, and the others could curl up in various new rooms that had been dug out for the purpose.
