Her answer dallied as she attempted to pick out the right words, "Not. that I'm aware of." she said with ease as she raised her head to the ceiling in thought. "I can't recall such a time." she said in a dull voice, thinking back as far as she could. nothing. "All I see are greys, whites, and blacks." she said simply answering his unsaid question as most people thought this anyway. A few have asked her what it was like, and a few have attempted to see the world through her eyes. But they have failed and she has yet been able to explain it well. She then recalled something, "Like, lightning for example." she started in an enlightened voice,"When it flashes, commonly people see through what are called cones that are in your eyes. And these cones project shades and hues of black and white. When the lightning does flash, these cones let your perceive the world with signs of greys and whites." She said recalling a man she had spoken to in London many moons ago.

Renae smiled, "It's not a problem," she lied, knowing her memories of color would soon fade before her eyes. " It isn't all bad." she stated in a soft voice. "Life isn't always about what's on the outside." she said with a grin. Of course, she longed to see the wide array of colors in a field or catch a glimpse of a rainbow over the sky after a light drizzle. These were things she wanted, but not of course needed, and Renae ran her life on a base of needs over wants. She let out a slow breath of air as she looked outside for a moment or two, hearing the light brush of the wind against the trees. She did thank her loss of sight for one thing, and that was her excelled hearing skills. She loved the music the crickets made at night and the sound of a stream running across the stones like an endless race to the finish. "But instead, what you choose to make out of the surface." she said in a smooth velvet like voice as she rested her head down once more.

Renae smiled weakly, she hadn't told him how the eye worked fully. For there weren't just cones in your eyes, there are also rods, and rods are what provide color. Obviously, Renae lacked in power of these rods, but she had no intention of breaking his spirit. Who knows, maybe he was right, but then again. . . she shook off the thought and turned towards him, "We'll never know until we try." she said brightly, masking the disbelief in her heart. But she had been proven wrong before, and was hoping to the likes of god that it would work just so then He could feel better. Of course Renae had wanted to see color, but she had become accustom to seeing black and white.

// Alrighty. Well you can do more with a problem than a solution.//
Renae looked out into the sky as a bright flash filled the sky. Her heart was pounding so hard she could swear that it could be heard a mile away. She as excited to see the outcome, but still seemed to be quite afraid. The first boom of thunder rolled out an a second flash of lightning occurred. As gorgeous as it was, all she saw was a white scenery with lines of grey and specks of black. Nothing. She sat down and continued to watch the sky, still wanted to watch the gorgeous scene, but alas found it hard for her to focus. "Nothing." she said aloud as another white flash appeared over the scenic area she saw. She looked over at Cupid, neither saddened nor motivated. Just simply a look, for she regrettably saw how excited he was to show her the colors and shadings other than that of a monotone world.

When he heard her simple voice everything went silent, nothingness surround them. He sighed as his head dropped to his stomach. No one ever said it was going to work. And the odds of it were slim... as everything was. "Another failure..." he sat down his lead to the side but toward the ground. His eyes fixed on a withering flower. "Sorry... I shouldn't have asked."

Renae looked over at him and frowned. "Now," she said softly as she stood up and walked over to him. she turned around and sat next to him facing the withered flower. "It wasn't a bad idea and it wasn't an utter failure." she said in a sweet voice still looking at the flower. "And it wasn't bad that you asked at all. It's curiosity, everyone has it." she said with a smile on her face. she leaned her head against his side and smiled at the little flower. "Besides, lightning still makes everything beautiful even If I can't experience all of it's colors." she spoke softly still gazing into it's dark withered petals. Even death looked lovely to her, almost everything did in her eyes even if she couldn't see it all.

"Is that bad?" Renae asked with a gleaming smile. She watched as the small burst of wind twirled around them, kicking up dust an dirt. It was mind boggling almost. . .almost. She grinned and closed her eyes for a moment, she enjoyed just sitting there next to him. It was rather nice. "It's the thought that counts anyway." she finished in a smooth and flowing voice, almost as smooth as that of a river. She glanced over at the Lagoon and watched the wave brush against the rocks, it seemed rather lovely to her, almost like a dream.
