"What is he?" Kaiadan asked, wide eyed.
"I'm a VAMPIRE!" Kaito told them happily.
Hearing the scream, Timmorn came racing back. "Cubs?" He saw Kaito and moved quickly, placing himself between the cubs he was caring for, and this new threat.

"He looks like fun!" Dyre declared, trying to bounce around Timmorn to get at the boy.
"No!" Kasuma caught her brother by the back of his coat and clung.
Verdi hid behind Timmorn deciding that Kaito was scarier.

"Whoa...... wow. He's a biiiiig hairy scary monster....." Kaito said, staring at Timorn.
Kaiaden leaned over to Kasuma, and whispered to her, "What's a vampire?"
Timmorn arched both of his brows.
"WHOA!"

Dyre struggled against his sister's hold, managing to break free so he could pounce Kaito.
"Dyre!" Verdi squealed.

Kaito yelped and being pounced, and rolled on his back to try and throw Dyre off of him. "Watch it! Big bully! I'm a scary vampire! you dun wanna make me mad!"
Timorn watched, alert for anything that went too far, or caused too much pain or problems. So long as it was kept within acceptable roughhousing limits, he was content to watch.
Kaiden twitched. She wanted to play too!

Timorn went and nuzzled Verdi's head gently. "It is alright cub. I will keep you safe for the time being."
"Hey, me too?" Kaito asked.
"I am caring for these cubs until we can find their parents, if you wish, I can do the same with you."
"Okay, they got washed away by the river!"
