The mech took a few more hits. The energy field around one of the impacted antenna gave out and it seemed to stop functioning.
The second block like weapon tilted up, aiming towards Bardiel. Unlike the Reflex cannon this weapon fired a few three shot bursts of the photon particles.

Bardiel managed to deflect and dodge the majority of the burts, but the minority wasn't without teeth. It took damage to the flachette gun's arm and shoulder, leaving it sparking rendering it unable to fire as Bardiel covered. It made a sort of flick with its right rist, and as it opened its palm, the saber handle reversed itself, positioning Bardiel for a powerful overhand stab at the neck of the Witch's machine.

The mech spun and parried with it's stable saber. The booster fins closed back into their original form. The mechgun swung to the hip and locked into place. The bursts aiming at the grappling devices Bardiel had used earlier in the fight.
---
A large warning would be coming from the mind of the machine. Something termed space-fold was taking up far too much of it's thoughts.

The loudspeaker came online with a split second's whine of feedback. "Oh no you don't!" Bardiel's escape hatch decompressed with a hiss and swung open, revealing a pilot perched on the door. He was dressed plainly, in a green tank top and black shorts, with his head obscured by a helmet which was laced with wires back to the cockpit. His hands moved rhytmically as he performed jutsu, focusing intently on the Witch's machine. Anyone versed in Rai would know that the pilot was trying to hold the machines together and to the Earth with magnetism. The reason why became apparent as the lights in the cockpit flashed red. "Self-destructing in five, four, three, two...and..."

The fold seemed to start, then stop then start then stop as the half the drive was shifting location while the other half was destroyed by the explosion. Waves of earth and debris from the ground shifted phases as well.
Something had ejected and was hovering, a series of circles of some sort under the floating person. The characters were strange, but the words were in English the words were very simple to understand as they were said aloud.
"I wish an alliance from long ago. Please Protect us by virtue of the Light."
It was Lina, wearing a very strange outfit and looking like a human version of her dragon-hybrid form.

"Ignition activated." There was a high-pitched tone and then a very, very quiet click. In an eternity of half a second later, an explosion ripped through Bardiel, crippling it and hopefully inflicting massive ammounts of damage to the other machine. The energy sends the pilot flying. The glass in his helmet cracked, obscuring his face as he skipped along the ground like a stone. "Mission...Failed..."

Lina kept chanting something then raised her hand. Whatever was going on protected her from the blast. "Farlla, Estilla, Golla, Pilla, Leilla, Mylla & Youlla"
The remaining particles in the air took form, many circles spinning around and lightning arcing up to above her hand. A moment later the blast obliterated all the remaining debris from her mech, every trace left by the explosion, wherever the space fold had taken the remainder she didn't seem worried at the moment.

The pilot finally stopped his painful journey, his already scant clothing ripped and tattered by the debris and the ground. Just as ragged, his breath rattled against the remainder of his helmet.
--------------------------
The remainder of the Progeny moved on without a word between them, heading off into the forest. They would leave the pilot for dead, and come back for the debris, but for now thay needed to stay on mission.

Lina dropped to the ground like a rock. The loud thud and her walking away like nothing happened seemed stange.
A human sized modified version of the mechgun appeared as she curled her hand. She walked up to the pilot. "Did you know how to fix the machine?"

The pilot lay there, limp and still. The shattered helmet made it hard to see if he was still alive, though given the recent events, that did not seem likely.

A small, white winged figure is heading toward the site of the explosion. It's Iri. She's paying a cautious mind to the events unfolding not so far away, but also paying attention to the things below her. What's happened to her student? She's sure he was headed in this direction, but she lost her visual.
Floating not far behind her is Jin. The dragon is scanning the distant scenery. If something happens that way, he'll see it before she does.
"Anyt'in' yet, boss? Ah see nothin' foul. Not yet."
Iri winces as debris brushes past her face. Something small and light left from the explosion.
"Not yet, Jin. Just keep looking. Damn it, what have I gotten into? Maybe I should have been a damn farmer or a dancer instead? No, I gotta get involved with freakin' ninja..."

She sighed. "I'm sorry... so sorry but I suppose I'll have to treat this as a yes"
She pointed the mechgun to the head and fired. Three energy shots straight at the pilots head.
The mechgun dematerialized and she began her walk back towards the dojo, she realized she was going to be late to the party, but at this point this small victory seemed enough. She raised her eyes and looked up upon sensing Iri and Jin

The other two pounded into the side of the helmet, and with a crunch, the battered thing finally gave way, splitting like an eggshell. There, amid the damage and gore lay Reeve Rhion.

Jin, being the one with the better eyesight, is the first to see what's happening. He gives a grunt of surprise. There's Lina. She must have taken on the robot somehow. But who's this person that looks like his fellow student?
"Hey, teach, who be this fella?" And he gives Iri a mental projection.
The Fury's face loses all trace of emotion. And then turns palest white. "Oh, no, oh, no, oh--"
Without warning, Iri closes her wings and makes a dive for the fallen man. Spirals of air follow her, lending her speed and directing her.
Surprised, Jin follows after. Can the dragon get any more confused?
(( Ah! I'm gonna have to donate to you, Reeve. that's just sad. lol ))
