Geba_00 *stretches her fingers* I'm reading stuff too. Okay people! First book assinment! sweatdrop I should really come up with a better name for that.... Feb 30th is the due date! The House of the Scorpions is the assinment!!!! Everyone who wants to read it! We'll start disgusing it, and I'm sure it will be great. It's a book with a little of everything for everyone, and a lot for the sci fi buffs in here. I will post reminders every few days to keep it in everyone's head. 3nodding I encourage everyone to use their local library! If you cannot find it ( I dont have the authore here, sorry. >.<) ask your librarian, it would be in the young adult section, or maybe the adult section. If the librarian says they dont' have it, don't give up! Most librarys can and will order from other librarys if you make a stink. wink But don't get kicked out. It's a pretty big book, so give yourself plent of time, and I really hope you enjoy it! *takes a bow* Is it by Nancy Farmer?

Cool!
Okay, book recomandation! There are all these history books by this company called "The way people Lived." Anyway, they're the most interesting books I"ve found on these civilizations! I just finished "Life as a middeval knight" and I've started "life in a middevel village." And they have -everything-!!! They're super infomative, and the books span so many different cultures! From the american indians, to the nazi youth, to some tribe in africa, all the way to the samurai and the renasance! I highly suggest you all read them, because they are SOOOOOOOOOo informative, adn they span all aspects of the lifestyle, told in non biassed ways, with many excerpts from historical documents, and quotes from witnesses that were writen down. It's really awsome!

It's really awsome! On the note of history books, stay away from anything written by Bruce Thornton, especially Greek Ways. In an attemp to show that the values of Western civilizations come from the Greeks, he lies and is incredibly deceptive.

Why would teachers force their children to read things they know to be false?? That sounds so...so foolish!
