Durim looked down, realizing his hunger had reached it's peak, He then left the grounds and headed for the market, Checking his pouch for howmuch coinage he had before he moved to the lesser crowded part of the market, still not having enough elbow room, he walked to a small stand and ordered a small plate of fish

Dyani looked at her brother and asked,
"What are you doing here? I thought you were with that cold grandmother."

"Thank you for helping me. Well, grandmother and I live here now. Why did you leave me like this?"
"After Mother and Father passed away due to illness, that woman took over their assets. If she knows you're associating with me, she'll cut you off." Dyani explained.

Changing the subject the boy said, "You're going on the pilgrimage with the prophet huh? Is that why you're in this city?"

"I feel like I don't belong here. Maybe if I do this, I can truly know where I can go." Dyani placed her hand on the boy's shoulder.
"Well, I'm going." She smiled and turned to leave.
The brother looked at Dyani with admiration as she left. His grandmother could certainly keep her out of the family, but she couldn't erase the impression Dyani made on him.

Dyani realized she was still hungry and after wandering around the street she finally found a decent stand. Dyani ordered some chicken and found a bench and began to eat.

Cailen strolled casually alongside Drexel as they went down the streets, the finely artisan carved stone walkways taken for granted weathered beneath their and others' feet. Cailen sidestepped a crate carrier and took in the surroundings. Sadly nothing worth spending money on for the moment. He saw the fight between Dyani and the cowardly thugs. Stopping a moment and witnessing her act of justice. He smiled and looked back at Drexel over his shoulder and said, "Seems our Magister friend is a martyr." Cailen watched her walk off. "Let's continue looking, there must be something... Ah, why don't we pay a visit to a nice tavern and have a round of celebration? The drinks are on me."

The Prophet woke from another trance, his wife, Artemine knelt beside him. She was a good thirty years younger than he, but they shared something. She smiled upon seeing his awakening, and rubbed a damp cloth on his forehead to cool it. "What did you see this time, my dear?" she asked.

Terrigan leaned forward slightly and thought. "I have seen a great many things, glimpses of the near future, but the most important was... A joining of souls, necessary to the events of the journey." Terrigan turned and looked at Artemine, "I have a request, I will right down the names of several soldiers in a letter, deliver it to Commander Rokken, and request that he put those names in the same group."

Artemine nodded and fetched a piece of parchment.

Durim finished his meal and returned the dish, he then walked off, almost forcing his way past people to get anywhere, he then headed back for the trials, specifically the magical trial, hoping to see some kind of skill that wasn't involved in steel

Nodding, Drexel followed Cailen, his arms crossed behind his back. Turning his head from time to time, he could see many different businesses, food markets, restaurants, clothes and appliance stores, and many more. Drexel followed Cailen around a corner to see the tavern. Entering, the loud sounds from conversations between a large group could be heard, along with multiple individual conversations from just two. His arms still crossed behind him, eyes widened taking in the full view of the tavern, awaiting instructions.

They went about the streets together until Cailen spotted a nice looking tavern. It was a clean little establishment that bestowed a painting of a smug looking nobleman on the sign, below it hung the words 'The Braggart Prince'. Cailen liked the sound of it, so he beckoned Drexel in. The two sat beside one another at a table on small stools. Serving woman hastily went about the tavern, serving and returning dishes to the kitchen all at once, a sign of good business. Cailen made a call to a serving girl who appeared to be free momentarily, "Two pints over here, and a plate of sliced potatoes with ham, please." She nodded with a curtsy and went off to place their order. Cailen looked over to Drexel with a smile, "Make sure to go easy on the rounds, tomorrow's inspection, and you might be thrown out if you are caught in a hangover."

Disgusted with the performance he saw, he left the trials, in search of something to do when the large fellows from before had more members instead of their few three "What..? You want a congratulations? You still wont be able to beat me." He said as he watched them, almost believing his armor was vibrating from his the intense temperament

Sipping on his beverage, Drexel raised both eyebrows as he closed his eyes. "Somehow, I feel that inspections won't take the entire day from us. So why not do it today? Perhaps more is set for tomorrow, any predictions? Keep in mind, there will most likely be a few who don't abide by the laws of sanity and will arrive disheveled. They wont be accepted. So, what could be done with such a small, skilled group of various people?" Furrowing his brow and almost squinting, Drexel sipped at his beer hypothesized possibilities. He turned to Cailen for ideas.

Cailen's lip's spread in a thoughtful smile and leaned forward, his chin over the mug, as the foam settled he considered this. Having learned from experience of doing small assassination contracts assigned by local nobles, he knew better than to question the methods of his masters. He simply learned to carry out as instructed, and have fun with it as he went. "Perhaps... they wish to give us a break." Cailen considered this statement, the looked to Drexel to confirm it. "Consider it this way, the Prophet and his wife are known as the most benevolent people in all of Lisbon, known as saints to some." Cailen took a sip, and continued, "Today we have thwarted imminent death, a commendable act, so they wish to allow is to enjoy ourselves one more night before we set out to the west. For once we set out we are no longer under their supervision, but that of our commander's." Cailen tried remembering the description he heard of this man. "The most I can gather on him is his background. He is a Magister, a powerful one at that, he was even offered a seat at the council of Mages in Kazdin, but turned it down. Just as well, he is an ingenious strategist, and his talent would have been wasted. He was one of the leaders who thwarted the Curt barbarian pillaging ten years ago, ending their leader's life in one unholy maneuver. He feigned a cavalry charge at the general's unit, by pulling back at the last second. The idiotic men chased the horsemen and were showered in a volley of arrows and ice needles. The spell came from him, the archers were stationed behind some trees. That move caused all the forces to pull back." Cailen finally finished describing the commander. "So, in conclusion, a man this intelligent will no doubt have a strong leash on us, disciplining us and treating us as pawns." Cailen took one more sip from the mug, and looked over. "Of course, I assume you could have gathered that as I was talking, you have that perceptive look about you."

Durim glared and watched them, he pulled his helmet from his bag and put it on his head, balling up his fist "Your all about to die.." He said as he waited for the first ones to throw a punch, one of the larger men running up on him, clamping his fist together and swinging with all of his force, missing durim as he quickly jumped out of the way before having foot planted on the side of the man's head "You will regret that also," He said as he looked to the other five, standing over the man he just kicked.

Dyani's brother, "Why did you do something like that Sis? People will just describe you as a martyr. Is that what you want?"
Dyani smiled, "If I threw some punches at them, they would have just been pissed off. They won't bother you anymore because I've shown them something they've never encountered before. I value my own life, but I want to keep on living so I can protect others. I won't sacrifice my life in vain."

Joss walked outside and began exploring the vast, lush grounds. Something darted out of the corner of his eye. Joss followed it, at first slowly but faster and faster as the strange creature gained speed. Soon Joss found himself surrounded by a labyrinth of bushes and leaves.

Smiling Drexel spoke after a pause, "We set out tomorrow, perhaps you're right. We do also need time to prepare ourselves for the next day. I do surmise however that The Prophet could have foreseen conversations such as these. And he may possibly be watching how we behave and act around one another. We do need time to recover as well, the tests provided were all gruesome and exhausting." Slowly drinking, Drexel looked around, saw many people around a table with cards. Smirking, Drexel watched as the group exchanged coins and unveiled cards. He turned back to see more bread, ate it as he finished his drink. Blinking, Drexel continued to think, watched the shadows.

Cailen ate a few slices of the potatoes, then washed it down with another swig. The mug was now mostly empty, he began swaying it, watching the alcohol move back and forth in the cup lazily. He turned his attention to some ruckus in the back. Some of the more drunken patrons, their faces bright red and bumbling drunken nonsense, began dancing about the tables arm and arm while a bard played the lute to the tune.

"We should leave soon, those drunks are probably going to bump into someone and start a fight." Cailen finished his pint, and ate several more potatoes. He was about to pay the waitress, but as he reached for his purse, he found the space freshly empty. A cut purse stood behind at the door, eying Cailen, then realizing he had been discovered turn to run. Cailen was quick to sidestep a table and grab the thief by his collar. Cailen swung the thief into the wall and pushed him against it. The pickpocket was about to retaliate, when he saw there was a dirk to his throat.

"If you're going to make a living off of thievery, make sure to pick the right targets." Cailen said, staring closely into the man's eyes, a burning intensity in them. The thief stood paralyzed for a moment, then handed over Cailen's purse.

"Thank you. Now run along." Cailen said, getting off the wretch and sheathing the dirk. The pickpocket ran away, disappearing into an alley. Cailen returned to Drexel's side, and paid the waitress, staring in disbelief. "Sorry about the trouble, come Drexel, it would be best we go."

Stepping out into the streets again, Cailen looked up. It was nearing nightfall as the sun neared twilight. He smiled that god forsaken smile, he had slipped a poisoned needle into the man's arm vein, he would be dead in a matter of hours.

Durim looked down at the man he knocked out for a brief moment, losing sight of the other five "It seems like you scum have chosen too die early. Good bye." He said as he looked up at them and began running towards the small group, making a small movement out of the way of a punch, only to get hit by another man, knocking durim to the ground face down "Damn it... lucky shot.." He muttered angrily as he attempted to push himself up, but received a foot to his gut that sent him rolling across the ground

"Yeah you ain't so tough now, are ya?"
