"There is almost no way to directly disarm a large weapon such as a greatsword or a flail without a weapon of your own. Attempting to do so is, more often than not, suicide. Pick up your trident."
Though the girl no longer seemed as nervous as she had been, the need to reassure her suddenly crossed him. "And don't worry... I'm not planning on lopping you to pieces today," he said quietly. As Coline had found, his words had a way of carrying even when at a near-whisper.

Sta jumps down and starts at the beginning of the wall.
"Center?" Sta wonders.
Well, if the center of mass on an airplane is too far forward or too far back, it won't work quite right. There's a spot where it should be.
Maybe there was a spot where she should have her center of mass too.
Or maybe it wasn't her mass that needed to be centered.
She stared at the lowest point of the wall. Only a foot. She jumps on. The next point is only six inches higher. No problem. She starts going faster. A two foot jump across a gap in the wall. She makes it. The corner. She manages to jump three feet up and make the landing this time.
[OOC: Uh, the training time for this skill is 8 days and this is only the second day so should I keep making Sta fall off?]

Tbh the original level 5 skill was a much more difficult one that actually wouldve required so many days, but it introduced a whole new element of play that I wasnt prepared to account for. If you want to make her keep falling off, go for it! If you want her to experience a modicum of success... go for it! If you want to leave it down to fate, why not have a roll? X3 Ahhh, I'm really enjoying this rp. =D Are you guys? ))

Sta feels good, being successful at something that doesn't have to do with machinery or computers.
She sees a tree with a low hanging branch a few meters away. She runs along the wall and tries to jump on to the branch.

[OOC: Yes I am! Oh, and don't mind if I switch systems of measurement randomly. I guess I'll have a roll to see if she makes it onto the tree.]

Lorika Ahhh, I'm really enjoying this rp. =D Are you guys? ))
I also like the playground idea suggested earlier by Sta.
Goofing off is pretty much all I want to do xD I mean, I read through the other classes, but then as soon as I saw that I could cast a ball of light, I fell in love with the spellcaster =X RP = playtime..? =X And I love playing with glowy balls ~ !

Coline laughed quietly at the remark, but said nothing more. Walking over to where her trident had been, she wrapped her hands firmly around its handle, pulling it out with one abrupt motion. She spun it around, thrusting the trident in a downwards motion as she assumed her stance.
Being able to wield her weapon again and possessing the knowledge from the past two exercises had revived the well of confidence within her. But she was not foolish enough to forget that the Captain was very experienced in the ways of the blade, and as such should not be taken lightly. She will have to give it her all if she were to pass his last test.

Sta climbs up the wall she's holding on to.
She stares at the tree and observes the way its branches are moving ever so slightly in the breeze. It's a 4 foot jump to that branch which has its end about 5 feet from the trunk.
Sta tightens her belt so her sword doesn't fall off her and she takes a large leap.

Jessie regarded her stance in a sort of surprise. The nervy, awkward Coline seemed to be evaporating before his eyes. "Are we getting overconfident, Coline? Do you think you can wield your trident well enough to disarm me?"

Sta misses the branch and falls towards the sand 10 feet down. She quickly grabs a lower branch.
She climbs up onto the branch and sits down.
"Maybe it's time to call it a day..."

Overconfident? Surely it wasn't something she had intended on, but she supposed it shows how much of a wreck she must have appeared like during the last two exercises. Adjusting her hands around her trident, Coline turned to the Captain again. "I'll do my best, sir." she answered simply, her eyes brimming with determination.

The Underworld is a merciless place...The Captain watched her for a few more moments. A small part of him wondered if the silence unnerved her. She appeared, however, as collected as ever.
"I'm glad to hear that."
Then...
All at once, he was in motion - swift, abrupt; there was no word for it. One moment he was standing - the next, he had leapt into a roll and travelled behind the girl. His sword began to come up...
