Great Goddess Gardinia The Vilespawn Archfiend Great Goddess Gardinia The Vilespawn Archfiend So the snow is coming down quite a bit right now and sticking like crazy. We have at least 2 inches so far and it looks amazing! All my snow melted away and dissapeared by the next day. So did mine! As soon as I looked out my window in the morning, there was nothing! I seriously said aloud, "Is this a joke?" mrgreen Yes. The weather is known for making bad snow-related jokes. Naturally it's stand-up comedy career never really took off. Sembri I'm just praying we get snow here in Texas this year. The last time it snowed was two years ago in March. My boss wouldn't let me leave til everything was clean, too. "We've got to be able to open tomorrow when the roads are clear. You need to pack up all the bread and pastries, sweep, mop, stock, get the coffees taken care of..." Meanie had me there two hours after everyone else left. But it was fun. lol When I flew to California over the summer the plane stopped in Texas. It was really cold, in the middle of August, in Texas. I can only assume that that was strange. I don't like nature jokes... especially by nature. mrgreen

The first time it snowed really good in my first winter, I was estatic. We actually went out and played in the snow. The next day, it started to melt a bit, what with the sun beating down on it. We had a good 2 or 3 feet. The next day, I walked outside and realized we didn't have snow anymore. It was almost three feet of ice. From then on, I hated North Dakota.
When I was told I was going to be stationed up there, I looked at the instructor like he was crazy and I asked him "There's something up there???" *shrugs* I never knew lol. I do now.... there isn't much up there, but there is something lol.

@TVA: They've been slowly training me to be a shift leader. I wish they'd hurry up and do it. I've trained managers who've moved up faster in rank than I have. But they like me as a cashier. I'm accurate, and can get a line to the door gone in minutes without seeming like I'm rushing them.
@Grims: Actually, he did help a little, he cleaned up most of the stuff on the line, where the food actually gets made. I cleaned up the bakery, where all the bread and pastries are, cleaned the dining room area, and washed all the dishes.

Well Sembri, it's good to hear that they actually do promotions and stuff at your store. I swear everyone at my store that has been there as long as I have is still in the same positions they are now because our crazy GM never likes to move anyone up. She feels that if she promotes people, they won't be as available as she may want them. She's weird like that...
As for North Dakota, it's starting to sound more like a ''drive-through-just-to-see-it' state more and more. Perhaps I'll pass on that. whee

So aside from working and spending lots of time on Gaia, I spend a majority of my free time building things and making projects. Mostly practical stuff and all in all things to challenge myself.
Well as of a few minutes ago, I successfully completed the prototype of my next big project and the initial tests I did were a success! It's quite awesome the progress I'm making with some of these things I'm working on, but also a little scary. mrgreen
Just my random post for the night. How's everyone doing?

I'm sure I'll be able to find something, but oh my god do you know how many morons order from Taco Bell? I've got some real horror stories.

Perhaps I'll pass on that. whee i've been at my store for 2 years now and they aren't even thinking of promoting me yet, i've also trained people who have become supervisors before me as well, it's so annoying. @gardenia- we finished for the year mid way through last month

I fricken' HATE that! I'm a trainer myself at our store and they wouldn't dream of promoting me because no one else(managers) want to bother training new people. I get the grunt work and I'm starting to be bothered by it. stare

At least you have a lot of options. Back home where most of my siblings still are, there are no jobs for anyone... not without qualifications anyway. whee
I can imagine the stories you have. I have a few myself but they usually don't hold a candle to what I have heard from others. 3nodding

If any of you live in California and there's an In-and-Out near you, work there! The employees are always happy because they get treated great and the starting pay is around $10 an hour. I gotta get me hired there one day. lol
