I knelt down in front of him. "Maybe..." I paused. "focus on one thing." I've heard that if you focus all your mind on one thing then mind control spells and stuff don't work... but I've never been around a half demon before.

I grabbed Alex before he could fall. Shadow meowed at me as if worried. Being a cat I am stronger then a normal human so I was able to get Alex onto the bed. I sat on the edge looking at Shadow as he looked at me.

Dusk jumped onto the bed climbing onto my lap. Ki sat beside Alex and almost looked at a loss. Shadow looked between me and Alex.
