If that's not what you're saying, it's coming off as that. confused There are lots of people in majorities who make it sound/seem like it's shameful to be a minority group or that the minorities are far inferior to the majority. They already have their pride in being "superior". Look at something like the aforementioned KKK - they're proud to be white Protestants and see other groups as dangerous/inferior/whatever. That's their pride. Others take pride in whatever they are. Lots of majority whites are proud of it and show it, though not necessarily by saying that others are inferior or something. It's when people think that majorities are calling someone inferior/whatever that people respond negatively. And that makes more sense, Cho. Aliens would be very offended, yeah.

I kinda get the whole "deal with it" thing but disagree with it at the same time.
On one hand, it's a good attitude to have. You know, not caring what people think of you and just being who you are...
But at the same time, it does sound like you're assuming that everyone is going to be a d**k about it when that isn't true.
I guess it would be better to take that attitude of not caring but not actually coming out and saying it unless you're provoked.
Like, if someone makes fun of me for being fat or something (I know it's not the same since it's my own damn fault, but still), I'll just laugh at them 'cause I don't give a ******** what anyone (other than a few people <.<) thinks of me. But I wouldn't go putting "HEY! I'M FAT! DEAL WITH IT! D<" in my signature or something, 'cause I know most people aren't gonna care at allllllllllllllllllllllllllll XD
But if anyone *does* care, it's their problem to deal with, not mine.
I'm not even gonna get into the parade thing, though, 'cause I'm still not quite sure what I even believe when it comes to that... I can see both sides of it >.<

I'm fine with homosexuality. Frankly, I don't care if you're straight, homosexual, bisexual, or anything else.
It's the flaunting of sexuality that I find annoying.
One of my friends, Brandon, is gay. He wrestled with his sexuality for a long time. After he came out, he didn't want anyone to know. Now he has a rainbow ankh on his right calf and never wears jeans anymore so that everyone can see it. He also wears a rainbow bead necklace and a rainbow belt... as if I didn't get it already.
I don't want him to stop being gay... I just wish he'd be less obnoxious about it. Especially since his words and his actions are so contradictory.
I believe there's a difference between celebrating your sexuality and feeling the need to tell everyone who will listen about it. The same goes for anything else. Christians are great people, it's great that they are firm in their beliefs but seriously don't even ******** ring my doorbell asking me to become a Jehovah's Witness.
As for the parade business... I'm fairly sure that LGBT parades don't exclude straight people. LGBT parades are about celebrating LGBT, whether you happen to be LGBT or not. In fact, I'm sure they'd welcome straight people because it promotes understanding. And if they don't... well, then it sucks for them because they're only hurting the cause.

I only have one issue with Gay Pride Parades, but it's not exclusive to them.
I don't care if your gay, straight, or an alien from Krypton. Can we please ban speed-os!?! gonk
But seriously, they probably could(possibly do?) get away with indecent exposure. confused

Can we please ban speed-os!?! gonk But seriously, they probably could(possibly do?) get away with indecent exposure. confused I don't know... we should have Speedo police. They brutally assault people who look terrible in Speedos and arrest them. The people who look good in Speedos are left alone. Of course, there are very few people who look decent in Speedos which basically means lots of Youtube videos of police officers assaulting nearly-naked men with extreme prejudice. rofl
