 Sam gave a friendly glare, as she pointed her finger at him. "No.. You are going to sit down, and enjoy the food. You're not with your other masters, you are with me. And I am not even a master, I'm going to be your friend." Sam slowly turned around and began to make another batch of pancakes.

 Daisuke looked at the plate then looked at Sam, he sat down but didnt eat yet, he was going to wait.

Sam made herself a quick batch, and sat down with the syrup. She handed him a fork, frowning that she forgot to give him a utensil. "Hey.. C'mon.. You don't need to wait for me all the time." She looked down at the food, before taking a small bite of the fluffy pancakes. After chewing, she spoke, "You know.. You're an individual that didn't deserve to be treated that way in the past.." She spoke softly, as she stared at her food, "And.. Not just because of your experiences in the past, and mostly because I like you as a friend, I'm going to treat you like a regular person. I only hope that you can fall into that sort of line. Daisuke, Please.. Just don't act so much like a slave. You shouldn't have that type of title. Especially in my home."

Daisuke smiled at her comments but made no reach for his food, he was going to wait for her to finish her food first. "It has what i have always been taught, I will always treat you with more respect then i should get from you."

Sam frowned, "No." She stood up, stopping her attempt at having a good meal, and went over to Daisuke. She cut up a piece of his food, and picked it up with the fork, tempted to just shove it into his mouth. She waited, though, until he opened up his mouth. She was determined to feed him whether he liked it or not. She wasn't about to have her friend starve because he was so broken.

Daisuke stared at the food at the end of the fork and looked at sam. "But, i would rather have you finish your food first mistress." Daisuke knew however if she tried to force the food in his mouth she probably wouldn't do it right and hurt his stitches, but hee just took the piece of pancake off the fork with his fingers and put the piece of pancake in his mouth.

Ridge looked out from the fridge, biting into an apple, "Oh good, you found the book! Heheheh. So, any good recipes?" He said, scratching the pup's ears.
Shikon paid almost no attention, while he tried to tear apart the bone.

Sam smiled, "Look.. You don't need to wait for me to give you an order to eat, to go to the restroom, to bathe, to sleep.. This place is a sanctuary, and that's what I intended it to be for anyone to come in here." She cut up more pieces for him, before slowly going over to her food. "But I do expect some help here and there when I ask for it though.. But anything else, you are free. Speaking of which." She quickly walked over to the knife rack, and grabbed the sharpest one, and slowly walked over to him. "Hold still." She placed two fingers under his collar, and slipped the blade under it and cut it quickly through, catching the collars before they fall onto the floor. "I have a white collar waiting.. But I need to place one more thing on it." She smiled.  Amber flipped back to a page she was just at. "Uh.. This one.." She said softly, "Romanian Stuffed Cabbage.. (( I made this last Thanksgiving. ^_^ )) Uh.. It.. Has.. Beef, vegetables, rice, and covered in soft semi-salted, and cooked cabbage.. Would you like to try it?" Amber didn't bother with turning her head to look at her master. She didn't want to see the dog.

Daisuke grabbed his neck where his collars once were. "Why, why did you do that, mistress?" He watched her but kept rubbing his neck. "Could i at least keep the charms on them?"

"I did this because those collars are the symbol of slavery. But.. I do have another collar for you that you can choose to wear around your neck, wrist, belt, or ankle.. It's a pure white collar that has my birthstone on it, and I was planning on putting your birthstone and charms on it as well, so people will know you are free and they cannot touch you without my consent." Sam tossed the knife into the sink, trying to look happy but was sad that he kept calling her mistress.

Daisuke watched her and drooped his head down. "But, But," Daisuke was at a loss for words, even though she was giving him a brand new collar, he silently promised himself to always serve her, he then thought about what she said about his birthstone and he saddened a bit.

Sam knelt down so that she was lower then him, and looked up into his eyes. "What is wrong?" She reached up and stroked his head, right behind the ears. "I don't want you to live like a slave forever. A slave needs a break from that life, right? I'm not going to abuse you, never ever will that cross my mind. You deserve more then that, and I'm trying to give it to you.." She sighed softly, "Well.. Finish your food so we can work on the garden outside.. Together."

Daisuke looked into sams eyes and purred a little bit. "Well, none of my masters have ever asked for my birthday, so i never got a birthstone on my collar, ive always celebrated my birthday quietly by myself." He rubbed his neck some more before using his claws to cut apart and eat his meal, not wanting to get Sams utensils dirty.

Sam gave him a dull look, "You know what forks are for? To use to pick up food. Go ahead and use it. Sheesh." She frowned as she stopped rubbing his head and went to her seat to eat the rest of her meal. She ate slowly as she watched Dai, happy that he was finally eating. She looked out the window as she chewed, looking at the woods. He needs to be free from this torment.. she thought in her mind sadly.

Daisuke sat quietly and still continued to slice and eat with his mangled claws. "I do not wish to get your utensils dirty though, mistress." He said putting another piece of pancake in his mouth.
