The appearance of the blue sent another smile to Ayi's face; certainly her cheeks would hurt when this was over with. The dragonet's attitude was priceless too! Certainly whomever he was for would have their hands FULL. Her hands moved to start worrying on the edge of her robe front, anxiety starting to build. All this amazing emotion around her...but what if she was left on the sands? The fear struck her heart but she tried to push it back. It was MUCH too early to start getting flustered.

Sellae gulped as the gold started shaking. Ahh, but no, it was the noisy blue egg that hatched, its contents moving towards the girls. She blinked her pale eyes nervously, watching him look them over. W... was he looking at them like meat? She gulped, standing straighter.

No, it seemed to be a lovely little troublemaker. She'd have to keep an eye on this one...

Janga's eyes followed the recently hatched green, waiting to see which candidate it went to. Already making a run for the boys, eh? Somehow, she wasn't surprised. There were certainly enough boys that would do well on greens in this group, if you catch her drift. Still, she couldn't help but snort as the green got a little too excited and took a couple of boys out. You'd think after a few hatchings you would learn to at least sidestep when a dragonet came charging towards your group. Duck and cover at the very least. But it was probable that these candidates were hoping the dragon was coming running to them so they could embrace and dash off into the sunset. She'd heard stories okay?

The green seemed to have found what she was looking for, regardless, and the bully turned her attention back to the clutch. Was that... the queen moving? This early? Somebody was impa-oh wait, a blue. Figures he would be moving around so much that he shook the queen egg. Probably got every girl in the whole Sands all jumpy and nervous. Janga gave a soft snort. And now he was coming to look at all the girls. She should have expected dragonets like this, what with Dorath as their mother. Not that there was anything wrong with the gold per say, but her rider was Luci, and wherries of a feather flock together. Hopefully the blue would make his pick so they could get on with it.

Uuni shut her eyes and took a long, deep breath. Avery was right. Uuni didn't want to admit that Avery was right, but the whole situation was in the control of someone else.

She managed a weak smile back and rolled her eyes at Avery just to say she wasn't buying a single bit of the girl's 'calm nonsense.'

But it was all about to change when the egg of the candlemark took charge. Uuni had half a guess that the girl's of the sands were taking in a deep breath. She certainly was, despite the fact she wasn't Impressing to a gold. But, it would be nice to know who would be getting the dragon she'd have to take orders from.

It seemed like everybody else had it figured out except for her, when the shells behind the gold egg were flung.

"Oh come on. I'm not that out of control," Uuni retorted back with a heavy swallow. Was she?

The blue was heading this way, and although he didn't look very angry, Uuni wasn't sure she wanted to be in his way if he decided to start a mauling. Avery's words weren't helping much. Uuni felt as tensed up as an angry watchwher minus the angry.

So. Sharding. Late.

Kytin was out of breath by the time he managed to stumble upon the sands, anxiety and excitement having knocked the wind right out of his sails even as he winced at the feel of the burning sands underneath his feet. Shards, what all had he missed? His first Hatching, and he'd missed parts of it! Sinking his teeth into his bottom lip, furious at himself, the boy watched eagerly as a two-toned green made her choice--shards, though, had she gouged that poor lad beforehand though? Well, he looked all right, he'd brush it off!

The blonde unconsciously flinched at the explosive entry of the blue, watching him saunter straight towards the women without a second thought. Hah! He knew what he liked, did he? Good, good; he'd heard stories of little ones that hadn't been able to find Theirs before... He swallowed and shook his head a little, not wanting to dwell on such grim thoughts when this was supposed to be a joyful occasion.

And it would be! You know, assuming HIS dragon was out here... Kytin hadn't even bothered to consider what would happen if he was left alone on the sands.

Arolon was becoming increasingly nervous and concerned for the bronze. "Embrace the world." He said softly, staring at the Sunrise egg he had disappeared into. He hoped beyond all hope the little one wouldn't between. That would be a great omen, awful! Could he not find his? He moved forward in the crowd, anxious but unable to do anything for the young one. One cannot interfere, the dragon must make his choice! All he could do was be patient and wait too. Surely all would turn out okay.

Avery could chalk one up on the board of times she was right. Makereth looked delighted, not impatient, as he scanned each and every girl. The Weyrwoman couldn't help but feel he already knew who he wanted, but he just wasn't quite sure where she was.

If that was the case, he knew now. The blue stopped in front of His and her friend, laughing again. She was funny, too! Without even trying to be! With the happiest of chirps, Makereth wiggled his rear in the air; he looked ready to jump on her.

--Er, scratch that. He did pounce Uuni, but he was surprisingly cautious to not claw her in his playful display.

Uunimine! You are so silly to be so angry! As if Makereth would not come here to get you! What a silly, silly girl!

Kestra was tempted to wink to the blue as it neared and grinned when Uuni was knocked down. You couldn’t see an impression any closer than that!

"Congrats." It seemed like a silly thing to say but she couldn't help herself, before she moved to give the new pair some more room.

Oh, and he was so handsome. Avery didn't know what she was feeling, the burn in her chest and eyes as she stepped back to give the new pair some space. For once, she didn't feel the pangs of jealousy or confusion that came with watching other girls Impress while she was left alone. Uuni needed this.

"Get out of here," she mumbled to Uuni, more for herself, as the brunette probably couldn't hear or see anything other than Hers right now.

From the stands, K'lan started shouting, her cheers loud and borderline rude as she shouted her approval, Condoroth trumpeting in support.

The Blue Impressed to a girl, as Gyl had assumed he would since he had gone over to the females first, and he stared in wonder at the beautiful patterning on Makereth's hide. Such a startling mixture of darks and lights that played so beautifully across him! If only he was better at painting--then he could at least come close to giving an accurate description of what Makereth looked like to his father.

Oh! Sellae clasped her hands together as the blue dragon leapt- playfully and carefully- for the one of his choice. Tears sprang to her eyes- happy ones for the Impressed and the dragonet. "Congratulations!" she whispered to no one in particular- she didn't know her fellow Candidates very well, and it seemed like a silly thing to say.

A green for a boy and a blue for a girl...how perfect! The pairs looked so right that she couldn't help but offer a loud "Congrats!" to them as they strode off to find the food that would calm the hatchlings, for now at least. Her fingertips continued to run up and down the flap of her robe as she turned to watch the unhatched eggs, though a concerned glance at the stubborn bronze couldn't be helped. Why was he being so bashful? Would he impress at all?

She peeked at some of the other Candidates and saw the same worried expressions she was likely showing. The keening for a passing dragon was so terrible that she'd never want to hear that sound again in her life!

Jaylin shifted from foot to foot before scuttling to one side, trying to look around the much taller and larger male candidates. Man! If only he could see what was going on! He opened his mouth then closed it with a soft click, biting the inside of his cheek. It wouldn't do him any favors to call attention to him now, would it?

Besides, he could still at least see the green dragon that had Impressed earlier. Envious? A bit. For now -- YES! He inserted himself between two of his fellow candidates, scoring a somewhat better view of the proceedings.

That is, until someone moved in front of him again. Then he just might consider a few pokes to the nearest person's ribs to encourage them to get out of his way.

Amoreth's watchful gaze lingered on the blue as he pounced on Uuni, the Impression made unmistakable. Her eyes tore away from them, the corners of her lips tugging upward into a gentle smile. The bright and happy feelings fluttering through the air were as real and meaningful to her as the Dragons themselves.

She looked on at the rest of the clutch, noting how many eggs remained. Admittedly, her nerves were numb from how active they'd become. She looked to either side of herself, scanning the faces of her fellow Candidates. The girl to her left, just old enough to be on the sands, was crying; doing well to hide it, but still crying. Amoreth slowly drew an arm up to rest her hand on her shoulder.
"It'll be alright," she said softly, giving her shoulder a little squeeze. Truth was, the girl was merely showing an outward representation of the emotional cascade that was warring with her mind inside her own heart.

Her hand slid off the girls shoulder and she looked back to the sands to try to locate the bronze, her focus again returning to the event at hand. What would happen should the bronze not impress? No one could -or would, rather- say. Something told Amoreth that the case would not be so unhappy as that.. Perhaps he was a meticulous and picky creature, and preferred to quietly sit by until he sensed His there. That would've been her choice way to Impress, were she a Dragon.
A chuckle shook her at the prospect. She'd look a frightful mess with a tail.

Trista laughed at the antics of the young blue. Yes, just as she had thought this one was going to be of the lively sort. She smiled fondly at the dragon and the young woman impressing him. She didn't know the candidate very well but she wished the new pair well.
