Gabe Ragnarok Chieftain Twilight sounds Epic! biggrin any Dwarves in that mix? =w= anywho, i needs goldsies. ;-; also, i wanna get something i can bribe Sere to do art for my Self-Made D&D Setting's NPC characters... >> No dwarves yet. xd None drawn anyway. Though the perpetually grumpy Bruenor and Cattie Brie get there eventually. I've got posts from Brenn's pov compiled into a solid long fic instead of an rp log, and a pair of fics compiled from the beginning of the Norse Aesir cycle before Ragnarok. We're so far in 'Homeland' the first Drizzt Do'Urden novel and we're seeing how much causality we can f*** up. For instance, what if Tyr had been there half the time to raise his half-brother, even if it was only though perilously infiltrating/sneaking into Do'Urden's House at nights? Drizzt's first positive influence would be from a drow surface-raiding MAGE, instead of from Zaknafein. >] Which would probably change a lot of things, since a Drizzt who was used to working with Magic AND who was skilled in blades would be a lot more fun to play with. And would likely be more versatile once he hit the surface. ...Tyr is very much parental. It's kinda weird, but he IS very much more like a surface parent than a drow sibling. Most likely because he's half aesir and given their pantheon's got empty spaces up the wazoo needing to be filled, they can't afford to condone or accept any infighting. In any case, I'm still curious, as to what your npcs are. xd And why Sere? xd that'd change Drizzt's entire personality and outlook, wouldn't it? he's supposed to have a bit of a problem with mages. anywho, i can show you if you like, i'd not mind you drawing them too. smile in fact i'd LOVE it, your style of art would be great for it! biggrin i realy want Sere to do them whether or not you also do them, because i realy badly want her realistic fantasy/sci-fi style to bring them to life. but yeah, anywho, i will get to the journal entry and show you, and then show you the notes for the novels i will be writing.

War of the Brothers Long after Prince Twilight becomes King, and Aiy becomes his Queen, he announces which of his sons will be heir to the throne. he chooses his second oldest son, Dawn, as heir. Prince Star, the oldest, becomes jealous and enraged, believing it his birthrite. he declares war on Dawn, and begins funding this war illegally. Dawn catches his brother taxing the people extra and taking the money for his own treasonous campaign and threatens to kill him in the name of justice. their sister Eve is caught in the middle, forced to mediate and prevent her brothers from killing eachother, she searches desperately for a peacefull solution. this story shows the struggle of conflicting opinions of good and evil, right and wrong. Synopsis of War of the Brothers Prologue details the family arrangement, and the basic jyst of the characters' personalities. Star is oldest son, who is head of the Temple. he has a warped view of what is fair, and is self-absorbed. Dawn is second oldest son, and Captain of the Knights. he is naive, and has no tolerance for what he believes to be evil, which is anything that isn't in the code of the Knights of Nightfall Kingdom. Eve, the daughter, is a freedom-loving woman who seeks peace and liberty above all else. she is Captain of the Guard. Chapter One the king names his second-oldest son, prince Dawn, his heir. Dawn's older brother Star becomes jealous, believing that it is his birthrite to be heir. he declares war on his brother. Eve overhear's her brothers' argument and falling out and worries, but keeps the knowledge to herself, as she wishes not to be a tattle-tail. she hopes to settle the dispute peacefully herself. Chapter Two Star is raising funds for his Campaign via the Temple. Dawn discovers this and declares war back on his brother. The Clergy is now very confused about what to do. they do not know who to believe, their leader prince Star, who is respected and influential? or the Crusading Knight prince Dawn, who has a reputation for absolute honesty but also for naivety and rash judgement? this conflict causes a schism within the Temple, and also all out war between the two brothers, who begin rallying armies and agents. Chapter Three Eve finally tells her parents, and the king and queen tell Eve that she must mediate the war and stop her brother's from killing eachother. the queen also secretly sends her personal agent, Silver, to guide Eve. she believes that this family crisis can be turned into an important lesson for everyone involved. Chapter Four the king is angry and refuses to deal with it in any direct way. he decides only to reward or punish as he sees fit at the results. his wife attempts to console him, swearing that good will come out of this. Chapter Five and on Eve attempts to seek a peacefull resolution, and enlists the help of a very colourfull bunch of people, mostly independant of eachother. meanwhile, her brothers begin their skirmishes and death threats, from assassination attempts to thefts. eventualy, plans for a battle on the fields are made, and a date for the showdown set. Eve's time is running out. she must convince her brothers not to fight, stop the suffering and warfare, and find some kind of peacefull compromise, all before a certain time. she seeks out her brother Dawn first, in hopes to make him see how rediculous he is being. at first he will not listen, and is appalled at how his sister would not stand up against evil. she introduces him to many of her own friends and allies, who were former criminals, or accused of evil or crimes, but who are good people. he insists that it is different. dawn later learns the full stories of many of Eve's friends and allies through their testimonies, and come sto understand better the motives behind many of the crimes he so naievely battled against. he realizes that not everything is as simple as it seems, and that nobody truely is evil because they think they are evil, but rather they think thy are doing the right thing. still, Star has yet to be reached, and it doesn't seem likely that he will give up his goal without a fight. as time runs thin and the battle draws near hope seems lost. Last Chapter To stop Star's Treasonous Campaign Eve must place her brother under a strict arrest, and strip him of all his titles and rights. this is contrary to her own nature and beliefs in civil and human rights. Star is magically captured and bound, and arrested without a hearing. his army is subdued somehow.... Epilogue Dawn is undisputed heir to teh throne, and comes to understand his older brother's side of the story and point of view. he also understands how hard their actions were on the rest of th efamily, and how selfish they both acted. he appologizes to his sister, mother and father, and to all th epeople of Nightfall Kingdom. Eve comes to terms with her decisions, knowing that they were for the best. that she had to deny a person rights that he had abused in order to preserve the rights of others. a new head of the Temple is chosen.

((I really hope you're up for this. I worked pretty hard on it to try to show as much of Sy's aspects as I could in RP mode. Hope its not too much and more importantly, I hope you enjoy it. x.x))
Sy had been scavenging in the Llteth District of Ulorbbath for the greater part of the day. Searching for a particular herb called Obliviax also known as "memory moss." The moss is greatly feared upon for it steals the memories of intelligent creatures with its spores. A potion can be distilled from Obliviax's spores to create the potion of "Forgetfulness" or distilled into an elixir to restore the memories of the forgetful. In this case, Sy's contact was paying her extra to get her hands on enough moss to not only make the elixir but also to create a device that will be convincing enough to open to have its effects be released on the victim.
Her contact happened to be a Matron Mother of a Noble, powerful House. This House has been rivals with its neighbor for some decade. The only reason how Sy knows this, is because she has been making deals with both of the Houses for a great while now, assuming they planned on destroying each other in the most stealth and cowardly way to avoid going into a full waged war. Taking baby steps in insuring that every member is left for dead and not able to report to the First House to have one or the other House destroyed in the process. No, these Houses were equally matched and possessed the same intellect.
Sy wondered just how long she can keep the House's fate in her hands as she soaked up their riches for her services. She does everything they order her to but she always leaves them away with many opportunities. And its these opportunities that delays the initial action. That dangles them by a thin strand in her web. But it wasn't time for the spider to eat just yet. There are still plenty of delays Sy can arrange on the spot.
After being a part time alchemist and beginner engineer since her early years of basic training with her biological father. Sy has grown with many years of experience with her side professions. Ultimately, her body has grown immune to most poisons and some potions after working and experimenting with alchemy for so long and being exposed to its deadly toxins. Sy knew how to extract this memory moss. She had equipped herself with an enchanted mask that enabled her to avoid breathing in the spores. She also wore an over suit that went over her armor loosely. This was merely an extra precaution. To insure that the spores may not stick to her skin.
After extracting the moss and scraping it into a led box where it would be safe and harmless, Sy then pocketed the box in her cloak then taking off the mask and pocketing that as well. Sy then started to make her way to the Bergadan Bridge. While making her way over the bridge, Sy then stripped off the over suit and tossed it into the Cold Blood River. It wouldn't matter to her much if someone were to find it. But leaving anything out in the open could cause trouble.
The bridge then led Sy into the Divirahc District. Which she then began to make her way over to the Broken Sword Inn. Her contact would not be expecting the task to be fulfilled till later on the next day. She then took this opportunity to replenish herself with food, a room to begin her work with the elixir and the device, and finishing the night with mead and a good night's sleep.
Pulling the cowl of her cloak over her head, Sy then entered into the dim Inn, the entry was slightly obscured by the many tapestries that hung on the wall and seemed to draw the eye with its delicate, simple pattern designs symbolizing the city's number one love and respect for arachnids as it was the symbol of Lolth. A waft of smoke, food, and drink reached her nostrils. Upon entering the Inn, Sy was given the occasional glance whenever someone opened the creaking door to cause a slight disturbance before their entry. Unfortunately for Sy, the casual glance became more like a stare. The bar chatter lowered some as Sy began to make her way up to the duegar barkeep.
Even though Sy had covered her face with the darkness from the hood of her cloak, she failed to wrap its folds around her body. Thus revealing her blue scale, deep dragon and adamantite rune armor. It was a very risque sort of armor with a corset top and almost a bikini bottom built perfectly for stealth and mobility. Her shoulders, bracers, boots, and belt was what gave off her powerful, trained stance matching equally with the nice tone in her body. She was relatively short for a female. Perhaps no taller then 5'4. But she was also fully developed which was what attracted the many men that starred at her as she made her way up to the bar. Half of them wondering her business, if she was up to no good, or just plain dumbfounded. Even though she had attracted the attention to herself, Sy had planned for it. It wasn't just her armor and body she wanted the men to pay attention to. It was the two deadly blades that hung in sheaths on both sides of her waist. One of them thin and sleek but inside the blade itself it possessed a deadly poison. The other, was jagged and black.
Sy took a seat on one of the bar stools in front of the bar and was sure to sit two seats away from a slurping kuo-toa who seemed to be enjoying its drink to the fullest. The duegar then approached the drowess while wiping a glass with a rag, "What can I do fer ye?"
"I'll have some mead and a key to a room for the night," Sy then placed a handful of coins on the bar before the gray dwarf.
The gray dwarf then scooped up the money, placed it into his chest pocket, took a key that had been hanging on a wall behind the bar, placed the key on the bar before Sy, and then reached under the bar and began pulling out a large bottle and filling a glass. Sy placed the key carefully into her change purse on her waist and watched carefully as the duegar finished up fixing her drink before handing it to her. Sy then drank deeply from the mug. It had been a long day for her. And there was still so much that needed to be done.
Just then, Sy felt a presence on one side of her. A voice of depth then spoke in her ear, "This is no place for a little girl."
Sy casually glanced to her side and saw that it was one of the House's generals. No doubt he'd probably been following her the entire time.
"I see that your Matron is not as dim as she appears obviously," Sy said carelessly as she looked inside her mug.
"Not so much dim as too trusting to her contacts. I knew you were up to no good the moment I met you. Now I'm gonna take you in and show her your true colors."
"And what makes you think I'll come quietly?" Sy sneered at the male. She knew from the way he was talking, he had come to trail her on his own. The Matron still did not know Sy's motives. So killing him now before he returns back to his House was her only option.
The male sneered, "You know.. there are a lot of eyes on us now. Maybe we can work out a deal upstairs. Away from all of this attention."
Catching onto the male's words Sy gave her silent agreement as she stood up from the bar. The male made a gesture, "Ladies, first."
"Then you better start walkin'," Sy snapped at the male in response.
Clearing his throat in an uncomfortable manner, the male then started walking towards the stairs. Together they walked the stairs side by side before coming to a door that would lead them to the dormitories. Casting a sideways glance at one another they seemed to open the door at the same time and step over the landing's threshold. The moment the doors swung slowly shut and settled, the two burst into action! The male whipping out a short sword and a dagger and instinctively ducked and spun about. Sy however levitated a few feet off of the ground and ran down the hallway and did a spinning jump as she took out both of her swords in midair. The male then took his opportunity to launch his first attack using his dagger, he flung it at his opponent. Before landing back on the ground, Sy deflected the dagger with the flat of her thin sword. Instead of the dagger reversing its course of action and falling to the ground at Sy's feet, the dagger instantly disappeared and reappeared into the male's hand.
"Enchanted weaponry... attractive... but I doubt it is any match with my swords!"
Sy then rushed down the hall at the male in full charge. Sweeping her swords up from the sides and putting them in a spinning maneuver as she closed in on her opponent. The male instantly raised his weapons in defense. Sy's swords collided and locked with the male's short sword and dagger. Using the jagged black blade to lock up the dagger, Sy then raised back her short sword and began poking and aiming for jabs in downward strikes. The male caught up to her movements and blocked her strikes with his short sword. The clinging and clanging echoed in the hall and funny enough no one dared enough to check out the spar. Knowing full well that if a nosy head poked out from their room at this time, that was probably an open invite into the dispute.
After blocking her attacks for some time, the male managed to unlock his dagger from her jagged blade. The moment Sy felt him break his dagger free from her sword's clutches she then started to step back but still continued throwing up different spinning maneuvers with her blades but this time taking caution to the male's dagger.
The male managed to push Sy against a wall and continued throwing dangerous, deadly swipes. The narrow hall prevented Sy from using her swordsmanship to the fullest extent. She knew she would need to use her environment to defeat her opponent. After ducking from another deadly swipe her opponent threw at her, his short sword managed to wedge itself inside a crevice in the wall. Sy then took the opportunity to duck his arm and swing her blades around. She managed to gouge him right in the armpit with her jagged blade before ripping it back out. A vital area to be stabbed indeed. The male fell on his knees and clutched his wound. Sy then levitated once more and stepped up on the wedged blade in the wall as she swept her sword low. Sy jumped off of the sword and landed behind the male in a crouch. The head of her opponent then fell off of the male's body and rolled in place. Wiping her blade with her cloak, Sy then sheathed her weapons back inside their sheaths and left the hall.
When she came back out to the bar, this time the bar actually became dead silent and gave the drowess a deadly stare. A few of them placing their hands on the hilts of their weapons. Sy then strode right out of the bar, leaving the key right on the threshold of the entrance. She knew she wouldn't be able to stay there after making that scene. She probably wouldn't survive half of the night with those men constantly drinking there and roaming the halls for unsuspecting victims to fight just for the hell of it.
Rolling her neck once and shrugging her shoulders twice as she stood outside of the Inn, that was the cue for her companion to make his appearance. A tiny gray and black stripped kitten with turquoise eyes made its appearance from under Sy's cloak. After whispering a few things to the little critter, the kitten suddenly began to take the shape of a large tiger. Big enough for Sy to mount and ride. After striding up on the beast, Sy then whispered another order to the big cat as he took fled down the back streets of the District heading towards Tathmyr Bridge to take the Crystal Corridors to reach the G'eldraena District. Sy planned on setting camp in that District to avoid anymore intrusions to her peaceful night.
Unfortunately Sy would enjoy the company of more guests that night. While going over the bridge the tiger sensed someone following them. Handing the mental message to Sy, Sy told her familiar to press on till they got to the outside of the Crystal Corridors.
After coming to the outside, Sy then stopped her mount and gave him another order. Using her innate ability, Sy created a globe of darkness. While inside the globe, the tiger shape shifted once more back into its kitten form and bolted off to hide on a dark ledge to prowl the stalkers from above. Sy wrapped her cloak completely around her body, molding her form into complete darkness and camouflage with her surroundings. She then bolted from the globe as well and took to hiding in a clutter of stalagmites close to the entrance to the Corridors where a monument stood glowing with red faerie fire.
Her breath was shallow and silent as she waited calmly for the intruders. After several minutes a body fell from a darkened ledge, dead on the ground from the opposite side of the entrance. His face looked mauled and his body was torn and ripped. Nevron, her companion, had already found one. They weren't strolling out from the entrance, they knew that Sy and Nevron knew, that they were there.
Just then, Sy heard a distinct movement from somewhere above. Looking up from her right shoulder she saw a few rock particles falling from one particular stalagmite. Using her stealth and agility, Sy then began to climb the stalagmite. She approached her stalking opponent from behind who had his attention out in front of him. He was searching for any signs of the cat or the drowess.
"A stalker caught off his guard? How pathetic."
Before the drow could begin his defense, Sy then sliced his neck. The drowess then climbed over her hiding spot and leaped to a crouch on the landing the stalker had been standing on. Sy leaned over the body and checked for any insignia that would symbolize him belonging to a particular House. After checking him for several minutes she found it. Looking at the intricate embroidery Sy discovered that the drow had belonged to a different House altogether.
"Males disgust me. They fight blindly for no apparent reason at all!"
Just then Sy heard Nevron's roar. The great tiger jumped down from a dark ledge to land in the middle of the pathway that led to the Corridor's entrance. Inside the cat's mouth was the broken neck of another stalker who had been lurking about. The cat then gave his Mistress a mental message explaining that he had scout the entire area and found no more stalkers.
Smiling, Sy then stepped off of the ledge and fell from the stalagmite, catching herself in a levitate before she hit the ground. She then rushed up to her tiger and petted him before leaping astride the beast once more. Nevron dropped the dead drow and licked his chops in a disgusted manner. Sy then gave Nevron one last order and the two disappeared down in the wilds of the District to set camp and fulfill the rest of Sy's task.

and anywho, Silver has so many Avatars, because he has Cover Identities, meaning those other looks are his Aliases that are so well-played, that he actually lives those invented lives as if he were another person. like, he is registered under those names in the city, there is NO WAY to see through those disguises even though he uses wigs and contact lenses, and such like that. see, in D&D stats, he has 7 levels of Spymaster, which gives hime three Cover Identities, which are alternate lives he lives, and he gets bonuses to his diguise checks and bluff checks and such like that when disguising himself as these personas that he invented for himself.

This is a snippit from one of the old Barton Town UnderGaia threads before the guild was made:
Draevir approached the bugbear lieutenant and spoke in drowish. "What have you to report then?" The large brown fur-covered goblinoid, towering over the dark elf at seven feet tall, had a great black drow-made morning star resting over its shoulder.
The creature hesitated for a moment thoughtfully and then replied, "the shipment for Au Shinduago is ready Lord. The pack lizards have been harnessed and loaded, and my platoon is assembled. We wait only on the mercenaries and their ghoul scouts to arrive and we may set off. "Good, very good." Draevir was particularly glad to have this rather reliable creature at his service. So many bugbears were incapable of being both strong enough to keep their subordinates from treacherously disposing of them and yet also capable of making intelligent decisions.
His name, what was it... Draevir had gone through many lieutenants in the last hundred years... "ah, Brakis... yes, well done Lieutenant." I will join you at the warehouse momentarily, go and await the mercenaries. The bugbear saluted, hefting his weapon in the air so that the head of it was held stiffly in front of his face, then turned and marched off entirely too silently for such a large creature wearing armored plates of black drow steel.
The dark elf then went back into the offices of the merchant villa of the Violet Mushroom clan to make his final preparations.
Draevir's description is pretty simple, the hair is boyish (like my avatar) and white. Eyes red, appearance is middle-aged with a military veteran's businesslike demeanor. Always wears black drow cloak (no adornments on it) and favors purple and black garments. Prominently displays a purple mushroom brooch on right breast. Wears black drowcrafted adamantium chainmail and carries black buckler (small shield) strapped to left arm in public. Typically armed with a black adamantium shortsword and a long dagger of the same metal; often a hand crossbow as well.
