I'd recomend Asia Alfasi's Jinn Naration. It rules.
The art rocks, the storyline is awesome and everything about it rocks!!
Please read Jinn Naration as Asia is also a friend of mine (that isn't the reason I'm suggesting it, though), it really rules!!

Lets see, manga I would suggest reading...
hmmm....

1. Sailor Moon (My 1rst pick)
Rating: 13+ (I think?)
Summary: Tsukino Usagi is 14 years old and in her second year of middle school. She's a bit of a crybaby and klutzy. However, she can transform into the senshi of justice, Sailormoon! An eternal classic that should be read by all.

2. Shinshi Doumei Cross (The Gentlemen's Alliance+) (second pick)
Rating: 16+
Summary: In return for a business loan of 50 million yen, the prestigious Kamiya family gave their daughter Haine away to the Otomiya family. Haine, now an Otomiya, is appointed to the student council of the exclusive Imperial Academy, a private school for the aristocracy. Even though Haine is of proper lineage to be on the council, she finds herself struggling to find her place among the many secrets of its elite members, especially those of the president who holds her heart--Shizumasa Togu, aka "the Emperor."

3. InuYasha (3rd pick)
Rating 16+
Summary: Kagome is a modern Japanese high school girl. Never the type to believe in myths and legends, her world view dramatically changes when, one day, she's pulled out of her own time and into another! There, in Japan's ancient past, Kagome discovers more than a few of those dusty old legends are true, and that her destiny is linked to one legendary creature in particular--the dog-like half-demon called Inuyasha! That same trick of fate also ties them both to the Shikon Jewel, or "Jewel of Four Souls." But demons beware...the smallest shard of the Shikon Jewel can give the user unimaginable power.

4. Full Moon wo Sagashite
Rating: 14+ (I think?)
Summary: A bittersweet tale of puppy love, tragedy, and aspirations of pop-star fame. A spark of hope ignites to a blaze in twelve-year-old Mitsuki Koyama's life when a comical pair of magical beings appears to prove to her that dreams really do come true.
Young Mitsuki loves singing and dreams of becoming a pop star. Unfortunately, a malignant tumor in her throat prevents her from pursuing her passion. However, her life turns around when two surprisingly fun-loving harbingers of death appear to grant Mitsuki a temporary reprieve from her illness and give her singing career a magical push start.

5. B.O.D.Y
Rating: 16+
Summary: Sakura Ryouko, 16-years-old, is always thinking of Fuji Ryuunosuke, who sits next to her in class. Everyone thinks she has strange taste but Ryouko finds his aloofness and seriously hard-line personality unbearably fascinating. But what about him....!?

6. Absolute Boyfriend
Rating: 16+
Summary: Rejected way too many times by good-looking (and unattainable) guys, shy Riiko Izawa goes online and signs up for a free trial of a mysterious Nightly Lover "figure." The very next day a cute naked guy is delivered to her door, and he wants to be her boyfriend!
Has Riiko died and gone to heaven? The cute guy turns out to be sweet, smart, a great cook, and lots more. And he looks like a million bucks, which is what he's going to cost Riiko if she doesn't return him in time...

7. Fall In Love Like A Comic
Rating 15+
Summary: Rena lives a double life as a normal high school girl and a mangaka artist drawing sexy love scenes. All seems to be going well until she accidentally bumped into popular high school idol, Tomoya. Rushing away from the encounter, Rena suddenly realized that she has lost her latest draft! Quickly rushing to school, she was surprised to se Tomoya waiting for her. Could this be end of her drawing days? What does Tomoya have in store for her?

8. Full Metal Alchemist
Rating: 16+
Summary: "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of equivalent exchange. In those days we really believed that to be the world's one and only truth." Edward and Alphonse Elric try to bring their dead mother back to life using a forbidden form of alchemy, and in return Edward loses his right leg and left arm, while his younger brother loses his whole body with only his soul remaining. (A must read to fully understand!)

9. Gaba Kawa
Rating: 13+
Summary: Rara, a girl from the demon world, arrives on earth with only one goal in mind: To do as many bad things as possible. Sound easy, doesn’t it? It doesn’t sound as easy as it seems when Rara starts to develop feelings for a certain someone that she shouldn’t have. "Rara, don’t forget not let the human aware that you’re a demon."

10. Hana Kimi (Hanazakari no Kimitachi e)
Rating: 16+
Summary: Japanese-American track-and-field star Mizuki has gotten herself to transfer to a high school in Japan...but not just any school! To be close to her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano, she's going to an all-guys' high school...and disguising herself as a boy! But as fate would have it, they're more than classmates...they're roommates! Now, Mizuki must keep her secret in the classroom, the locker room, and her own bedroom. And her classmates--and the school nurse--must cope with a new transfer student who may make them question their own orientation...

11. Highschool Debut (Koukou Debut)
Rating 16+
Summary: Haruna Nagashima gave her all to softball in middle school, and now that she's made her high school debut she's decided to give her all for a new goal. Getting a boyfriend and falling in love! However, she has one small problem. Since she never paid any attention to fashion or trend in middle school she has no idea how to go about attracting her yet-to-be-found love. But a chance encounter with with Yoh Komiyama provides her with the opportunity she needs. If he coaches her in how to become attractive, surely she can find herself a boyfriend.

12. I.O.N
Rating: 13+
Summary: Ion Tsuburagi is a simple but cheery girl that decided to devote herself to a man that is serious to make their own dreams come true. She then found out that Mikado, one of her classmates, is building up a club for psychic investigators. She fell in love with the guy because he is the one she's been longing for. She planned to join the club but she ended up being the club president. Then after that, an experimental object that Mikado made suddenly changes Ion, giving her telekinetic powers.

13. Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne
Rating: 13+
Summary: By day, Kusakabe Maron is an ordinary high school girl with more than her share of problems. But by night, she is Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, the reincarnation of Joan of Arc! Her mission: to hunt down demon-possessed paintings and exorcise the evil spirits! Too bad accomplishing this mission puts her into conflict with the authorities, who view her as a mysterious stranger vandalizing works of art. With only the help of angel-in-training Finn, she must survive high school during the day and battle evil by night!

14. Millennium Snow (Thousand Years of Snow)
Rating: 15+
Summary: 17-year-old Chiyuki Matsuoka was born with heart problems, and her doctors say she won't live to see the next snow. Touya is an 18-year-old vampire who hates blood and refuses to make the traditional partnership with a human whose life-giving blood would keep them both alive for a thousand years. Can Chiyuki teach Touya to feel a passion for life, even as her own is ending?

15. Vampire Knight
Rating: 16+
Summary: Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, there to protect the Day Class from the Academy's dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires.

Summaries are from onemanga.com. I have read all of these and they are my favorites, as well as three of my top choices being picked out. Also, if you like Full Moon or Shinshi Doumei Cross, then you'll love Tanemura-san's other works too.

Here are some of the manga that I recommend:

Beauty is the Beast
Summary: Eimi Yamashita is a cheerful, lively 11th grader, who decides to move into her high school's dormitory for girls when her parents relocate for work. Little does she know that romantic adventures await her there.
Rating: 14+ (maybe...I think)
Genre: Comedy, romance

Beauty Pop (I know someone already recommended this, but it's really great)
Summary: In Kiri's school there are 3 boys who carry out transformations on random pretty girls; Narumi Shougo, the hairstylist; Minami Kei, the nail artist, and Ochiai Kazuhiko who balances the overall look. They are adored by the girls because they are so good at making them look beautiful. However, Kiri is also a master hairstylist who is willing to "add some magic" for those who need it, but in disguise. Now Kiri is forced to face the three in a showdown against Narumi.
Rating: 15+
Genre: Comedy

Dudes, that's all I got for now. That, and I'm bored, I need to find something sweet...I know I have some candy stashed somewhere...

I'd recommend Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers). It is one of my favorite mangas of all time. I heard that there is a extra side story focused on Rui Hanazawa that was issued in Japan in 2008, however, I haven't been able to read it because it hasn't been released in English. cry Anyways, I would really recommend this series because it is fun to watch the characters grow, and is a great read. heart
