Kathrine Jean Johnson :.Kat.:Kat leaned into Kyle a little as he hugged her. He really was a good support, literally, but emotionally too. He was so big, but could be soft and warm too.
"Yes... I know... It is hard to imagine this is all there is though..." oooh she finally admitted that much at least.
The TV wen on after that, but Kat had given up on TV for entertainment a looong time ago.
Time passed, slowly it seemed, then all of a sudden she glanced around and noticed how dim it had gotten.
"Oh yes, we definitely don't want that. You never know what she will do" Kat said, trying not to show how nervous she was feeling now that it was really getting to the time they were going to do it.
She stood up, "Sooo I guess we should run to my house really quick, grab my stuff, you need to take your stuff...." she trailed off, trying really hard not to think about all of this too much.

And I’ve been locked inside that house all the while you hold the key.

Suddenly, Brooklyn was yanked to the floor. Her back smacked against the carpet and Carl was quickly on top of her. "Oh dirt---" Then he started tickling her!
Brook squirmed around, trashing her arms at him. She absolutely hated being tickled. Her weakness, you were vulnerable when someone was on top of you, pinning you to the floor, and tickling you without mercy!
She was about to scream out she was laughing so hard, but then he stopped. She was laying there, gasping for air when he walked to the window.
Brooklyn jumped to her feet, grabbed her bag, and ran over to him. She jumped on his back and bit his ear. "Jerk. That was soo not cool." She got off him and snuck out the window. "Last chance to turn back." She smirked before starting her quick climb down from the window.

Kyle Tanner Crawford 
Kyle smiled, knowing that Kat rarely showed her feelings on the outside. Kyle stood up, stretched again and let out a loud yawn. He then wrapped Kat into a hug.
"I promise its going to be alright." He patted her back a few times before letting her go and running upstairs to grab his stuff. He came back down shortly, not bothering to feel any pain of leaving most of his stuff behind.
He headed for the door, opened it for Kat, and offered her a smile. "We'll run to your house too. You could burn off some nervousness that way." He chuckled, winked, and then proceeded out the door.

Sun in the sky... you know how I feel.
Reeds drifting on by... you know how I feel.
It's a new dawn,
It's a new day,
It's a new life... For me.
And I'm feeling good. Carl swatted at her as she jumped up on his back and bit his ear.
"Get off, you pest." he laughed and watched as she went ahead and made her way down the window. "Yeahh. Better go before I change my mind then." he said with a small smirk. He looked back into his room and felt a little sad leaving it, for an indefinite amount of time. He really was in danger of changing his mind.
Life here was crap, but this room was his bubble. His place of zen.
Shaking his head he stepped out of the window and onto the roof, and shut the window behind him. Looking at Brook nearing the bottom, he decided to try and beat her to it, climbing halfway down the house, before jumping to the ground. He landed on his feet, just as she did.
Satisfied with that, he brushes himself off and took his glasses off to clean the lenses quickly. He looked around, and as usual, there was no-one. It was near dark and at this point, most people were at home, doing whatever it was that made this town so boring.
"Right. Lead the way Batman." he smirked.

Brooklyn looked up to see where Carlyle was just as he fell passed her. She whipped her head down and landed just as he did.
"Are you okay?" She looked at him, a bit frantic for a moment. But soon realized he was perfectly fine. She sighed before smacking him. "Don't scare me like that."
She winked before starting to lead the way, but then stopped. "Batman?" She raised an eyebrow at him before shrugging and taking his hand.
"C'mon! Those losers are gonna beat us." She giggled before starting to run off, dragging him behind her.

Kathrine Jean Johnson:.Kat.:Kat waited as Kyle went to grab his stuff, which wasn't very much. None of them really had much to take anyway. There wasn't that much to begin with, and next to nothing that mattered. Then again, it seemed the standard normal to them anyway, so amount had little meaning.
"Run all the way there? Ha, we'll see if I can." Not that it was really that far, but she wasn't the type to run more than 30 seconds straight...
"You might have to carry me most of the way!" she joked, trying to lighten up.
She followed him out of the door as they headed down the street.
At first, she hadn't even been sure if was serious about running, since he was with her. But either way.... why not?
Maybe he was right, and she could use a good run. Although, they would have to walk from her house to the meeting place so she didn't use all of her energy up.
So yeah. We'll see, if she could even make it that far.
Kat, for all her attitude, wasn't the most fragile person ever, and she even had a pretty nice body. Not really that weak. But running STILL wasn't her thing, by any means.

Kyle chuckled. "Okay, maybe not all the way." He nudged her. "We are going to be a lot of running as is."
He shut the door behind her and laughed. "I could carry you and still make it there faster than if we both ran together." He stuck his tongue out at her. "See, watch."
He lifted her up out of nowhere, tossing her over his back as if she were a sack of potatos. Kyle began to run a bit, not even faltering his breathing. He paced himself, of course. But it was more natural than anything.
"Having fun up there?" He chuckled as he rounded a corner towards her street.

Once they were moving smoothly she pouted.
"Not what I meant..."
Although the sad thing was, she didn't doubt his ability to get them their faster like this than if she were on her feet. But that wasn't the point! This was uncomfortable! Being slung over his back like a sack...
Ya know, she had absolutely no problem being carried by Kyle, but yeah, again, this was not what she had in mind.
Aaand finally, they were there. Ok, so it didnt' take long, but still!!!!
"Um yeah, you can put me down now..."

Kyle chuckled and set her back on her feet. "Go get your stuff. I'll wait out here."
He went to lean against a tree, and ended up sitting down. He was barely sweating at all. But running always felt so good to him. After a nice run, even a small one, he felt like he was breathing through new nostrils or something.
Like, it made the air more fresh, or clean. Or something.
But who was Kyle to be poetic? He was just ready to get the hell outta here.

Kathrine Jean Johnson:.Kat.:Kat took a step toward her door, stopped, turned around, and stuck her tongue out at Kyle before turning back around and running in.
He did bring out a playful side in her, at least as often as Brooke did- and that was more forced!
Despite her skepticism on the whole thing, Kat was pretty much ready. She had everything she wanted to take gathered together, which wasn't hard, since it wasn't much.
That meant it only took about 60 seconds for her to run up the stairs, grab it all, and run back down to Kyle.
"There, I can be speedy... sometimes..."
Well, now that her decision was made to at least try this whole stupid thing, she just wanted to... go for it, ya know? No use delaying it, and making their chances of success even lower than before.
"Ok, let's go!!!"
She was really jittery now, in anticipation and all that s**t.

It didn't take long but eventually Kat came tumbling outside, saying how she could be speedy. Kyle laughed as he stood up, "Oooooh yeah. Speeeeedy. Is that what they call turtles these days?" He chuckled, making his way over to her.
"Lets get going." He shook his head. "I'm sure Brook is dying right now cause we're not there. Poor Carl is probably getting complained to like crazy." He took her hand and pulled her along, the walk wasn't long, thankfully.

And I'm feeling good.Carl smirked at her competitive nature already bursting through. She almost dragged him the whole way, but eventually they got to the meeting spot, and as expected, the other two hadn't arrived yet.
No doubt because they hadn't just sprinted to get there.
"Great. We won. See. Whoo- now stop running." he breathed out, pulling her to a halt.
Carl dropped his bag down on the grassy floor and sat himself down next to it, leaning back against a tree, which hid him very nicely in the shadows. He got his breath back and sighed, tired already.
This was going to be a fun night.

Kathrine Jean Johnson:.Kat.:"Hey shut up! I triiiied. Jerk." Kat retorted, sticking her tongue out at Kyle.
Kyle took her hand and the continued on though, and Kat had to take deep breaths to calm herself. She was trying to hide it, but her nerves were really setting in. No doubt she wanted to go now, but it didn't stop her from being scared out of her mind.
About getting caught... and about making it.
"Or getting dragged." She said, after clearing her throat, and attempting a smile, but it was pretty forced. She could see Brooke and Carl up ahead by now.
To barely keep from dragging her feet the last few yards, Kat actually sped up and then stopped abruptly just a few feet from them, still tightly gripping Kyle's hand.
She still could not believe they were doing this...

Kyle laughed. "You like it when I'm a jerk. Don't lie." They raced off to the meeting spot. He was pulling her along, but she wasn't doing a horrible job of keeping up. He smiled down at her, feeling her tight grip on his hand.
"Its gonna be okay Kat." He whispered softly. They soon approached the two. Carl was nearly passed out and Brooklyn was sitting next to him, looking antsy.
"Did you kill him already?" Kyle laughed as he brought Kat over to them, squeezing her hand a bit.

Brooklyn laughed as she looked around. It was getting closer and closer to dark, the sun was setting behind them. Their silouttes casted all across the grassy scene.
She huffed before falling to the ground next to Carlyle. "Yeah, we won because I'm the s**t." She continued to laugh a bit before sitting up and loooking around. She watched as two figures came closer to them. "You still scared?" She turned to look at Carlyle.
