Tansy nodded somewhat as she grabbed the hem of her shirt and struggled to pull it up and over her head. She sighed softly as she finally got it off and looked behind her a the young girl. "Like this?" She asked softly as she pressed her wings close to her back. She watched her carefully, unsure if it would really work or not.

She cants her head to the side just a bit as she considers the question. "Hmmm, a little lower. Alllmoooooost-there! That's where you want them to be every time you put this on." Gidget moves around to Tansy's front and shows her the harness. It was made of smooth black leather, and there was what looked to be part of a bra comprising it. "Okay, this is the front. Slide this on like you normally would a bra, and I'll size it to you with the velcro."

Tansy took it from her and looked at it oddly before she placed it against her body. If it meant she could go outside on a daily bias, she would try anything at this point. "What if this works?" She asked softly as she looked over her shoulder to Gigdet. "I'm still considered dead. What if someone recognizes me. From what I remember, my face was flashed all over the news. I don;t have an I.D or anything on me. My sister would have all of that stuff..." Her voice dropped at the end on the sentence. Her sister. Lillith must have been so scared and alone. She shook her head. If she had done her job in raising her, Lil would be fine. She was a smart girl. She would handle it.

Gidget can't help but giggle just a little. Not just at her idea for fixing Tansy's dilema, but at the fact that the bra portion of the harness is made from one of Tansy's. She is glad that Tansy was so focussed on the idea of returning to the outside world that she didn't notice.
As Gidget reaches around and secures the lowest strap around Tansy's hips she says, "You're lucky there are other women in this apartment. I'm going to give you a makeover sooooo awesome that your mom would have to look twice." She secures the strap that wraps around Tansy's abdomen.
"I was thinking I could cut your hair short and color it pink like mine. Then we'd look like sisters! Isn't that a great cover story? Get some colored contact lenses, and of course you're going to have to rethink your wardrobe." She secures the strap around Tansy's ribcage.
"Even with the harness you're not gonna be able to wear any babydoll T's or hip huggers. You're going to have to go a bit baggy. One more strap aaaaand there! A lot more comfortable than it looks huh?" She runs around Tansy to a full length mirror and turns it toward her. "So, whatdya think?"

She turned and looked in the mirror. She looked somewhat odd, with straps wrapped around her body. But it felt fine. her wings shifted somewhat, uncomfortable with being tied down, but she would get used to it. She had to. But something was wrong. Her face was paler then she had remembered. And then Gidget's words floated back through her head. "Uhhhh... I'm sorry sweetie, but I don't think I would look as good in pink as you do. How about we try a different color?" She asked softly, a hint of nervousness in her voice.

Annie opened the door relieved to find it unlocked and not to have to fumble with finding her key. She was juggling her art stuff from class and had opera blaring from her iPod. Dropping her things on the couch and removing her earphones she looked around the apartment- the guys were in the kitchen and she saw that Tansy's door was closed- since Tansy never seemed to leave the apartment- which seemed ridiculous to Annie as she saw herself as the dangerous one- she must be in her room.
Pushing one of her long brown curls behind her ear she nodded towards Garret and Haro in the kitchen and called out, "Hey, y'all I'm back from class..."

Ako looked up after drying up the last bit of the spilled water and noodles. "Hey Annie. Learn anything today?" He'd dropped out after the meteor, back when he hadn't been able to pass a wall outlet without getting a shock. He was aware of Annie's powers, and felt glad he'd gotten the water up before she arrived.

Annie blushed and said quietly, "That the new model is totally hot... um..." She ducked her head and picked up her portfolio, still blushing red, "We were working on male figure drawing..." Annie put a hand to her red cheek and reprimanded herself: 'Remember Anna, no crushes- focus on your schooling- especially now that you're a dangerous freak of nature.'
Frowning, she quickly changed the subject, "Oh yeah, the art department is hiring... if anyone is interested... it is like $11 an hour. I think you have to be 18 though or have parent permission."

"Hiring? For what?" Ako asked. He wasn't really interested in getting a job, but as Garret had pointed out, they needed money. Although, posing for an art class...thoughts flashed through his head of himself, standing nude in front of a class. He had issues with being naked in public, he would never even go to a public pool as a child. He'd gotten over it eventually, but only as far as going shirtless.

"It is an easy job really," she said quickly. "You get paid to sit there and do nothing. I'd sign up but there is no way in Hell Dad would be okay with me taking that job... anyhow, I have that work-study at the library I started a couple months ago."
Almost to herself she muttered, "And Dad is still all freaked out I'm living with you guys... no offense- I mean I'm probably the most dangerous out of all of you." Sighing she sunk into the couch, "Anyhow..." she trailed off almost as if she was lost in thought.

Gidget playfully sticks her tongue out at Tansy, "That's what I used to say, but then Sean Bixby said that he likes girls with crazy hair colors. So here I am!" The throws her arms open like the way a magician would display his illusion.
Ratchet mews in embarrassment. Gidget slowly puts her arms down when she notices the expression on her friend's face. "What's wrong Tansy? Do you not like the harness? I could try a softer material."

"Just sit there? no nudity, no weird gimmicks?" Ako asked, now moving to lean against the counter. If that's all the job required, he'd have to look into it. "And what could your Dad possibly have to worry about? You're living with two teenage guys, a 13-year-old mechanic, and an angel. We're perfectly normal." He joked.

Tansy shook her head. "No. No the harness is fine. I'm just... worried. Sometimes, I wonder in there is a reason that I came back to life. I mean. I don't even remember being dead. There was nothing. No pain, no light, no tunnel. Not even a voice... just.. darkness. Like when you sleep without dreaming. Just time passing. And it's make me think a lot. About the so called after-life." She shrugged somewhat as she sighed and walked back over to her shirt. She grabbed it and tugged it on over her head with a smile. "At least I won't trip over myself every morning to get my clothes on." She grinned softly, trying to cheer herself up. "Thank you Gidget."

"Well, you sit there without clothes on, but..." Annie shrugged and flipped through her portfolio and pulled out a few sketches from class and held them out to him. "It is very classy. And think of all the good you would be doing- helping all the future artist of the world." Annie bit her lip, "Of course come to think of it- if you get past the whole problem with the sitting naked on the table with some twenty people staring at you drawing you... it might be a bit awkward if you worked during one of my classes."
Noticing an awkward pause she quickly said, "And about my Dad, I think he doesn't mind me living with you guys as much as he minds my art major."

Gidget smiles brightly, "You're welcome." Her expression then becomes contemplative. She scratches her head while thinking about Tansy's problem. A lightbulb goes off in her head, "Ah, what if you weren't dead, just sleeping really really hard. Maybe you just needed time to let you wings grow...sort of like a butterfly."
She shrugs and walks over to the bed. She picks up Ratchet, who mutters in protest. "Oh quiet, you've got all day to sleep." She tucks him back into the front pocket of her overalls and turns back toward Tansy with a sweet smile. "If it makes you feel any better, you're the prettiest butterfly I've ever seen."
She giggles and opens the door back into the den. She skips over to the front door when she remembers something. She quickly walks into the kitchen and waves at Annie, "Hi Annie!" Not waiting for a response from her she walks over to Garrett, "Hey, I almost forgot to give this to you. The building's super finally paid me for all the stuff he's had me fix." She digs into her pocket and pulls out a large roll of $100 bills. From the size it appears to be at least $2,500. She hands the roll to Garrett with a big grin.
