The cold wet park bench didn't do anything for her back. It was hard to sleep, but perhaps that was a good thing. Who knew, maybe Mike would awaken during the night, in which she wished to be there for him. Though in her condition, she wasn't that qualified, they were in the same boat. And now she had work later today, that part had been the worst decision of her life. Look at the trouble that now seemed to be appearing the more she thought.

With a cold shiver, her eyes pinched tighter, faint pink visible. The sun was rising, and it was really cold. With a small groan, somehow the force was found to lift the once semi sleeping body into a sitting position. Shaking her head slightly, looking around, nothing seemed to change. Mike was still on the ground near the tree, at least the towel she placed on him seemed to stay there. Her arms were on the inside of his shirt, keeping what little warmth produced there, trapping it, even if it was a wasted effort.

Wasted. Her head rang really loud, and Samantha concluded standing up would lead to falling down. What the hell really happened last night. Shifting through her thoughts, the real sober memories came first. Driving to the party with Mike, that meant her car was still there. Dancing with him, warmth formed around her cheeks. That happened. It got worse when he vanished, bits and pieces were now there. Jesse, something about his shoes, Tyler dancing while singing loudly. Rainy was wet. Mike was hovering over her, holding her, but why. She couldn't remember what possessed him to give her his own shirt. Something with a comfy bed, again warm flooded to her cheeks. Did something happen between them? Oh no, that would be horrible if she lost a friend cause of a party.

Lifting her head slowly, evenly to not disturb her hear, dark brown eyes stared at the seemingly lifeless form on the ground. If something did happen, what would happen to them? They were all she had, other than work. The only social life she possessed, and that would tear her apart if that was lost. Nothing can be done, maybe he won't remember either, bits and pieces. Nothing happened if no memories are there to back it up. Leaning against the back of the bench, Sam heard her spine pop loudly. "Ugh" It hurt for only a second, and then the relief it brought was much appreciated.

A cold chill blew over Mike's body and he shivered violently, waking him up ever so slightly. Attempting to open his eyes, he realized that he was far too drunk to be able to, or at least, about to discover the worst hangover known to man. He winced at the sharp sunlight that managed to creep its way into his vision and he groaned and turned, until it was dark again, burrying his face in the ground. Turning out to be quiet a bad idea he coughed loudly, inhaling in whatever it was he was lying on.. grass.. dirt? His throat was sore, but also quite numb, and felt as though he had been drinking acid or something similar. In his half conscious state his mind traced its steps back to everything that happened last night. Hoping to find an explanation to why the air conditioner seemed to be on and why his bed tasted of grass.

Started off with a party or something. Right. Sam drove him there. But then, where were the others? Oh no wait, they got there a little later. And s**t! Rainy and Soph! Or maybe that was just a dream of his. Wouldn't have been the first. No wait. He was pretty sure that part did happen. But then.. Sophie and him in a bathroom?? Did they? No way. No. Ew.

All of a sudden his memory became clearer and he remembered probably the most pivotal moment of the night.

Sam. Nearly. Died.

An uncomfortable lump formed in his chest as he remembered pulling her out of the pool and them bringing her up to a bedroom. He remembered the rest in an instant, and with that, opened his eyes.

Mike stared at the ginormous grass leaf by his eye and pushed himself up off the ground. Nausea kicking in like no other. He turned and saw the towel that had fallen off of his body and groggily picked it up. He looked up and squinted his eyes in the direction of the bench. Walking, or rather, stumbling towards it he recognized Sam looking pale as a sheet. God he was such a douche. He dropped the towel over his shoulders and fell to his knees in front of her, proceeding to hug her lap. "Oh Sam, I'm so sorry." He looked at her and touched her cheek with the back of his hand, feeling it ice cold. "Are you okay?"

Sam's mind was already twenty minutes ahead of her, as well as behind her. Aw hell, it was going to be a horrible day. She knew that food is always healthy in the morning, you know, breakfast, but anything that may enter may possibly come back up. It's still too soon to test the hangover stomach, she knew that as well.

A noise, that clearly wasn't a part of nature. Was Mike awake? Was he well, or drowning in his own puke? She wanted to see if he was ok, but the energy to move from her current stop seemed to elude her. That was strange, perhaps he will rest a little longer before doing anything, he had a hard night as well. With all the drinking at the party, whatever the hell he took after he left.

Her skin nearly jumped right off her body when something came in contact with her legs, who the hell was in the park with them? But a kind, gentle voice soon followed. How calming, he was alright, at least, he sounded fine. If she opened her eyes, maybe she could confirm that. But before she could do anything, something touched her cheek, causing her to flinch slightly, but then she leaned towards it, absorbing the warmth that radiated from it.

Slowly, her eye lids lifted, everything blurry for only a second due to the blinding light, but then coming back into focus. "Mike...?" Aw yes, there he was, but what was all over his face, hopefully it was tree, grass, dirt, anything found in nature and not the result of food making a second trip. Hold on, did he ask her something. Ah yes, she only remembered his voice, and now the words are coming along. "I should be asking you the same question." the corner of her lips turned up slightly the more she looked at him, one piece, strangers jacket, hungover, ah, what a lovely sight.

Mike should his head adamantly. "No, no, don't worry about me." he said, angry with himself for letting her get so pissed drunk that she had to be out here in the cold too. He patted down his pockets for his phone but couldn't find it. Great. "Where's your phone? We should call a cab or something." he said, still half drunk with slightly slurred words.

He sighed quietly into her lap and held himself close to her, fully relieved that she wasn't y'know, dead, or paralytic or anything stupid like that. "I'm sorry Sam, I really am.." he hated people who apologized too much, and he hated apologizing himself, but he half asleep and couldn't help it.

There was so much he wish he hadn't done in the last 24 hours it was stupid. If he had just stayed with her. Damnit, there was that too. He told her no when she was practically asking for it. Why? Hell he didn't know. He was such an idiot.

-------Th' Names Rainy--- It's Just Rainy!

-----Rainy would have liked to take a real shower, aching head and all, but there was no way she could have then. No... Sophie in there... naked... water... running down her hair, neck, body curves and all... way, way too distracting.

And that image, just would not get out of her head.

Rainy had barely managed to slip back into her clothes when Sophie came back out, and just right when she had turned around as well.
Even with the towel wrapped around the girl, Rainy caught herself staring before she redirected her eyes.

Without a word, she pointed to Sophie's bra, which her gaze had happened to land on, like 10 feet away.

It had to be the alcohol and weed still influencing her. It had too. How else would she explain why she couldn't think straight. Oh, the irony in that thought. She'd never been able to think "straight."
And still there! Her thoughts being turned back Sophie one way or ********. She needed rest.

"Um... Ima wait outside..."
she mumbled, before quickly making her escape. Too quickly, which cost her what was likely to be a bruise on the shoulder thanks to the ever sturdy door frame.

Ah. But she did make it down the stairs in tact, that was a plus.

And then there, out the door, flying past the guy that had come in on them earlier without even glancing in his direction.

There. Outside. Fresh air. Thoughts? Still swirling... swirling... all with the same center... the eye of the storm... her best friend.
But... now at least, she could breath... for a moment or two.

Mike's head in her lap, she could feel him breathing, the shape of his nose against her leg, it felt nice. But what a strange reaction, to have when he apologized, it didn't make sense. Her heart started to fluttering, softly like a child, warmth flooded to her cheeks slowly. A tint of pick now showing off her soft skin.

At least he wasn't bringing up what happened, somewhat. She didn't want to be rejected again, not that it was fully in the right mind when it happened, but the feelings still remained, sane or not. But the longer his body was held against hers, the warmer her legs got. Now the difference between her legs and the temperature of the rest of her body was shocking, warmth was needed, fast.

"I don't have a phone with me. It's broken." Thrown into the pool twice really wasn't the best way to keep a phone alive and working. Her eyes closed a little bit, her body leaning forward. Her forehead pressed against the man's head in her lap, hands resting against his shoulders.

Park bench, freezing, hangover, emotional, it wasn't a good thing. But first thing was first, they needed to get out of there, but how. "Mmmm" Samantha sighed softly against his hair before taking in a slow breath, he smelt horrible. Then again, with the night they both had, a shower wasn't such a horrible thing. Though currently the light was messing with her head, all she wanted to do was stay like this, eyes close, and not move, only find a way to get warmer. Him being there was helping her get warmer anyways.

Sophie picked up her bra and was just about to put it on when Rainy left quickly, knocking into the door frame.

"Wait!" She had the top half of her dress down to put her bra on, but took off out the door mostly dressed. On her way down the stairs she managed to get her bra on, not without going unnoticed.

Yeah, the guy from earlier was giving her bedroom eyes. Sophie scoffed and busted out the door and nearly stumbled into Rainy as she pulled her dress back up.

"Sweetie, whats wrong? Are you just feeling sick?" She was never one to worry about whether or not she pissed someone off.

Unless that someone was Rainy.
Even more so now that she knew her feelings for Rainy were super-intense. God, last night... even if it was fuzzy, she'd never forget the feeling.

-----Turns out, a brief moment was all she got, because Sophie came stumbling into her only a few seconds after she made it outside.
Still pulling her dress up as she did so...

Rainy was a bit stunned by the suddenness, since she hadn't even noticed she was followed, only heard (and ignored) Sophie's call when she left.

Becaue of that, it took a moment for her to respond, she opened her mouth, faltered, and then tried again.
"I-I don't know... I just need... real rest... can we... go home now?" she even avoided really looking at Sophie, just passed her, at best.

She was planning on staying at Sophie's for a little while too... Rainy might have almost considered going to her house after all this, but there was no way she could handle the drilling from her father, plus, she was still quite intoxicated. No, there was no way she could go there... Soooo, Sophie's was still the only option....

Besides, Rainy has stayed over at Sophie's countless times, stayed in the same room, slept in the same bed, changed in the same bath/bedroom, it was no big deal... True, she had occassionally, caught herself staring... but that was just natural, right? Considering how long she had known she liked women....
It shouldn't be any different now... right?
All of this freaking out, it was just because of what happened while she wasted, plus the fact that she still pretty much was... right?

Mike groaned quietly, of course her phone was broken. Phones and water don't mix. He knew that.

Next thing to do was stand up and stumble together to find a bus stop, or a cab or something. But just as he went to tell his brain to move his legs, he noticed his head feeling a lot warmer from her hugging him. Moving could wait for now. Mike moved to kneel up properly and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a (hopefully) warm hug.

He kept himself close to her and oddly enough, he was getting warmer. He smiled a little and loosened his grip a little to look at her. "Come on. Let's go home." he said quietly, before shakily getting to his feet and holding his hand out to her. He wasn't sure whose place was closer at the moment, but he figured any place with a roof, heating, a shower and clean clothes, would do.

That was an unexpected surprise, not that it was one worth complaining about. It was nice, very nice. His arms came around her and embraced her. The longer they were in contact, the warmer she got, which was a good thing for sure. All the heat lost during that night on the bench most likely wasn't the best thing for a healthy body.

"Home?" Who's home Samantha wonder, as her hand took his, getting warmer the longer she held onto it, as she stood up. Where the hell were they in the first place, and if there was a way back to her car, there was clothes in it for her. Basically her second home, minus the bathroom, besides there was work at the bookstore today. What a mess, all cause of that stupid party.

Rainy, Sophie. Where were they? Only now did the others in their party crossed her mind. Was everything ok, the night before was still a little blurry, but didn't Mike leave her to help Sophie? And Sam was sure that Rainy left. And the others? Jesse was more high than a balloon, was he ok? Her head was swirling with concern for others and not for herself.

"Where is home?" The sooner they got out of the sun the better, it was seriously giving her issues. Samantha can hold down her liquor, but only for so long. It was going to get gross if they didn't find a solution soon.

Taking a single step forward she knew it was going to be a long journey home, Samantha couldn't even walk properly. If Mike wasn't holding onto her hand, the ground would have been right next to her. This was horrible.

Sophie nodded and tossed her arm around Rainy's shoulders. "Of course hon. I need a good sleep anyway." She laughed lightly.

Whatever they had left inside could stay. She had some of her things, but she wasn't even sure at this point what she had brought and what she hadn't.

She shrugged before leading her friend off towards her house. It'd be nicer if they had a car. But she didn't live too far... right?
She looked around. Where were they exactly now? Uhm.

"Rainy. My head hurts." She tried to focus, but the sun was to damned bright!

Concentrate
After a few moments passed of her standing there, looking like a trainwreck, she figured it was about a ten minute walk.

"Ugh," She mumbled.

-----Of course Rainy had left the whole first episode while SOBER out of her figuring and tried not to think about it now. Yes. Let's just not think shall we? Sounds like a brilliant plan.

Relief flooded through Rainy's veins as she heard the simple answer of agreement from Sophie. Yes, a good sleep sounded wonderful.

And there, the slightest bit of normality was somehow the way Sophie had so casually tossed her arm around Rainy's shoulders when she had answered her. Close? yes, a little tingling sensation shooting through the girl? yes, but it was so... familiar.

With that familiar gesture, came Rainy's, which was to wrap loosely around Sophie's waist, and a moment later, move with her as they tuned....

Where were they again? Ow. Throb. Throb. Yeah, hopefully Sophie had this one, Rainy was pretty useless with directions anyway.

Or they were both screwed, that might be true too.
"Mine too" she pouted in answer, but didn't offer anything else up. Less talking, less thinking, just throb ow, throb ow, throb ow.....

Well, they started moving in a pretty certain direction so hopefully the other girl did have things figured out.
They moved the rest of the way in relative silence, which worked for Rainy. Both of them were pretty messed up right now anyway so...

It wasn't until the house came in sight that Rainy realized the only thing she still had aside from what she was wearing... which did not include shoes... was her camera. But at least she had that.

Sophie trudged along in the direction that she hoped was her house. She looked around, but mostly tried to keep her eyes closed. Then she'd stumble and open her eyes again, keep moving, eyes close, and she'd trip again.

But she managed to stay on her feet. She glanced sideways at Rainy, mumbling something. She was a talker, what more was there to say? Nothing. And keeping your mouth shut was probably smarter, however she wasn't one to shut up.

Uhm...ever. But the sight of her house came into her blurred vision and she smiled, a lot bigger than she had in the passed few hours. Or maybe not. Who knew. She was just happy to be home.

She released Rainy, practically falling on her face as she tripped up the stairs. Oh yes, up. Not down. And she opened the door. "Thank god." Screw walking up the stairs to her room, there was a guest room right there, infront of her face. Thats where she was crashing.

-----Rainy and Sophie tripped their way down the road, making the other stumble each time one did. Oh yeah, fuuuun. And yet, Rainy had a feeling she still would have stumbled twice as much if she had been walking without the weak support.

She hardly looked up from her feet the whole way back, just hoping sphie knew where she was going, because getting lost was the last thing they needed right now.

Then Rainy seemed to notice something familiar even with her downcast view, so she looked up to see Sophie's place just several more yards down the street.

Rainy had to make her own way up the stairs, but it was worth it just to finally be there, where they could rest. And because she was just as reluctant as Sophie to test the bigger stairs, probably more so, she followed after the other girl.

She made it through the guest room door and collapsed onto the bed, barely pulling herself up to the pillow. So. Comfy.
The exhaustion and nausea swept over her through the tumble, but her head, which had been pounding most of the way back, changed to a dull thud.

Her camera had fallen to the floor, but it was unharmed, and she had lost her shoes at the party, sooo, dress was fine to sleep in when she didn't have the energy to change.

Sophie had crashed just as easily as Rainy had. Her head touched the pillow and she was gone.
Her dreams consisted of random happenings. None of it making much sense, and she probably wouldn't remember it when she woke up anyway. There were lots of colors and thats about all she gathered. Which was odd, despite her love of color she rarely dreamed in color.

But hours later, she groggily woke up to her phone whinning. She picked it up, only to turn it off. However, now she was awake. Well fuuuuuck.

She rolled off the bed, tumbling to the floor. The sun was low, dimly shining through the pulled curtains.
Sophie grumbled to herself as she picked up her phone again, turned it on and plopped down on the couch in the room. She crossed her legs, indian style, despite her attire, and flipped through a few text messages.

Mostly, they were about parties. Yeahhh, that was the last thing she wanted to do. Actually, she was kind of hungry. "RAAAAAINY!" She yelled out, at the top of her lungs. Her voice cracked, but she wanted her a** up. She was not staying up alone.
