Bradley squinted, attempting to remember. "Well, I'm forever nineteen," He said, still trying to figure out how old he was. He hadn't really kept count, as he really had no way to tell. Well, he did, in a way. "If I'm not mistaken, I'm roughly twenty-eight." He said, stopping the lightning, and turning his attention to Marie. "And you, dear? I know I'm never supposed to ask a girl how old she is... but, how old are you?"

Marie almost laughed. "I believe earlier I mentioned that I was nineteen." She said with a smile. "That would mean that I have been a part of the supernatural world longer than you." She pointed out. "Not that it matters. I'm only half of what you have become, and half of what you were.." She elaborated further, without realizing she had done so. .

Bradley nodded, suddenly remembering that she had told him. Shows how much I pay attention, he thought, mentally scolding himself. However, as soon as she mentioned herself being in the supernatural world, his face went blank, but his irises darkened. "A part of the supernatural world? Excuse you, but you're stuck in the worst purgatory around. Stuck between monster and man." He seethed, his teeth clentched. "You're not part of my world. You never have been, and you never will be."

Marie expected as much. Not many were willing to accept the fact that she was what she was, and it wasn't her fault. "I hope you noticed I didn't say Vampire world..." she very nearly scowled. "For the shapshifters that live on a reservation not too far from here are too part of the supernatural world...even though they arent Vampires. So, if you are going to continue to be narrow minded, I'm going to take my leave..." She said, standing up as it started to rain. "And Just remember, you weren't always part of this world, but I have been, I have been gawked at, scorned, and hated for what I am, and all I do is try to get along with others. Don't tell me what I am, because I am glad that I am part human, I still retain my feelings and emotions, and think about those around me. I don't judge. " Her eyes flashed, reflecting her own lightning. It was a very rare occurance, but when she became emotional, whether it be enraged, irritated, or passionate, her powers seemed to magnify. .

Without even a blink, Bradley made the rain come down harder and harder. "And you call me narrow minded? Yourself and the shifters, you're both just mutts." He spit, his eyes an incredibly dark midnight blue. "I don't judge those that hold some weight in the world. Those who pick a side and stick to it." He added, his jaw tightening. "Your kind plays the fence; hardly a great trait to have. Be my guest and leave. I couldn't care less." He added with extra venom. At this point, nothing could bring any sort of guilt onto him.

Marie scoffed. "You expect me to pick a side? How is that possible. I am half human and half vampire. The only way would be for a vampire to change me. That's the only way I could be fully anything. And pray tell, how am I narrow minded? Listen to yourself, you are degrading those who you don't know. Who are you to say? You don't know me enough, I at least gave you a chance, didn't say anything bad about you. Yet you scorn and judge me for something that was out of my control. Something my Vampire father could have very well prevented..." She was furious to say the least, and had an argumentative streak in her. The heat began to rise, the barometric pressure rising. If she wasn't careful, the small port town could be in danger from her weather. .

Bradley glared at her, finding his voice, "I don't care if it was your fault or not. It is who you are. You are responsible for who you are." His eyes were angry, and swirled lightly. "Who are you to blame me for judging someone ? You're all the same. All of you. I gave you a chance, and it just proved my point." Suddenly he was struck silent. If he had any color in his face, it would've drained out. All of the anger in his eyes and face drained out with it as well The air pressure was rising, and fast. If things got out of hand things would go horribly wrong, and fast. He attempted to combat the pressure by fighting to lower it, his eyes eeriely calm.

Marie glared. "How did I just prove your point? What, were you trying to see if I sided with the humans? What? What did I prove, and how did I do it?" She asked, quite curiously, still furious, but trying to calm herself down, for since she felt some force fighting her power, she knew he must be trying to combat what she was doing, Marie did her best to maintain what she had started, not raise it, or lower, but keep it as it was, it seemed to make him wary, maybe it was a way to keep his attention .

Bradley's eyes were a warning, and indeed he was weary. He didn't want her to make a mistake she'd have to face and pay for. He increased his pressure against her power, attempting to lower the air pressure. "You proved that you're all just heartless, argumentive, quick to judge, back stabbing mutts." He said, keeping his voice steady in an attempt to keep her mind off the air pressure.

Marie considered what he said, not backing off power wise. "Really? How do you figure? How did I prove all those things? What did I say or do to confirm that?" She asked. She wanted to hear his reasoning behind it all. "The only thing that I will agree with is the fact that I am argumentative. I know that for a fact, and will give you that one, but the rest, what is your proof?" .

Bradley sneered, gritting his teeth and fighting back harder against her power. "You're half human. That's all the proof I need." He said, gitting his teeth together. "Whoa there, chill out, bucko." He said, with an extremely eerily calm tone. It was as if all of the anger and fight had been sucked out of him. He hated humans, but he also knew that if she killed them, he'd be in deep trouble. "You win. I'm just a stupid, idiotic, malevolent monster." He said, his tone flat.

Marie shrieked as she stopped her powers and stormed off, the words ringing in her ears and echoing in her mind. 'You're half human. That's all the proof I need.' Ignoring the rest of his words, knowing full well that she never thought them, she turned and stormed off, heading back home, tears threatening to escape her eyes. "That's all they'll ever see me as, some half n half imposter that doesn't belong. It's not like I chose it, it's not like I want this life." She thought, wiping her eyes, climing back through her window and walking back to her room. She collapsed on her bed, crying, trying to block it all out so she could sleep.

Bradley let out a long sigh, mostly for the fact that he couldn't have held up much longer. Focusing on a more important matter, his eyes followed her as she stormed off, though his face was blank. Was she... crying? He thought, knowing the answer immediately. As he let out a howl of rage, the sky darkened, and rain began to fall. Oh great, now the sky is crying too. He thought, before sprinting off of the top of the room, and leaping back towards to forest. Upon reaching it, he leaned face first against a tree, his moonlit arm holding him off of it.

Marie stayed laying down until her tears were spent. She heard the rain, and tried to block it out, not wanting to use her powers to make it go away. She even put her pillow over her head, but with her sharp hearing, it didn't help. So, she got up, gathered her pajamas and towel, and took a shower, the sound of the running water sounded similar to rain, but it was enough to take her mind off of it. When she was finished, she headed to her kitchen, searching for something to eat. After all, she was still partly human, but, at the moment she wasn't sure she wanted to eat human food. A few moments after she thought it over, she decided that she did want the human food. Less chance of her running into him. So, she pulled out the can opener and a big can of spaghetti o's. Dumping the can into a small pan, she turned on the stove and sat it on it. To drown out the rain while she was waiting for her food to heat up, she went to her living room and turned on her stereo and hooked up her ipod, turning it to Bad Romance from Lady Gaga. Turning it up loud enough, she smiled as she listened to the familar lyrics, singing along softly. "I want your love, and I want your revenge, you and me could write a bad romance..." And so on, as the song went. By the time the nearly five minute ballad was over, the spaghetti o's were completely heated up and ready to eat. Filling up a bowl, she took it and a spoon to the couch and curled up, continuing to listen to her ipod, wishing things had gone differently.

Bradley paced the forest, his eyes sharp. He was soaked to the bone, or he would've been, barring he wasn't a vampire. For the first time in many years, Bradley felt truly cold hearted. Sure, his heart wasn't beating, but did his metaphorical heart stop too? He howled lightly in his anger at himself, which sounded comparitively like a wounded dog's wail. As time passed, he considered going back to visit, but figured he'd be the last person she'd want to see. Oh, how he wished he hadn't let the half-breed hate in him take over. Oh, how he wished that things had gone a different way. He walked slowly, very slowly, towards the town, singing softly to himself. 'I hate everything about you, Why do I love you?' He sung, his voice clear and unwavering, but still extremely quiet.
