Death of the Poison Master

Barth stood in the doorway, gun pointed at Tenshi and Sesshomaru. He had a grin on his face, as he cocked back the hammer.
"I knew you two where no good. Fishing around in my collection. Just what is it you planned to do? Poison the Mayer? Poison myself? Or my beautiful Eliza?"
"Actually, I was planning to poison myself." Tenshi said as she stood from the drawer, holding the vile of blue liquid that read 'Glistening Sapphire.'
"Rubbish! Why would you poison yourself? You lie!" Barth shouted as he pointed the gun at Tenshi's chest. Tenshi frowned and looked to Sesshomaru, who was staying silent, hand drawn on the hilt of his sword.

"Actually, I speak the truth." Tenshi said with a shrug, before she began to walk towards Barth.
"Don't come any closer! I'm warning you!" He screamed as he gritted his teeth, Tenshi didn't head the warning. She continued to walk towards him, until the barrel was strait against her chest. Tenshi reached up and grabbed the pistol, causing Barth to wince, but not let go of the gun. Tenshi then moved the barrel to the center of her forehead.
"Go ahead, I dare you." Tenshi whispered, expression firm.
"Your insane! You'll die!"
"That is what I wish. Please, put me out of my misery." Tenshi said as she cocked her head back, it slowly rotating to the side. She then tapped her temple.
"I'll even expose my soft spot to you." She said. Barth shook his head.
"No! Your crazy!!"

"Kill me now before I kill you!" Tenshi barked. Barth winced, and as he did so he accidentally pulled the trigger. A loud "BANG" was heard, and Tenshi's head shot back. But she continued to stand.

"… H… How? That's not possible!" Barth said, as blood began to leak from his mouth. The bullet had not only failed to pierce Tenshi's skull, but had bounced back and pierced Barth's chest. He looked down and clenched his shirt, blood oozing from the wound. Turning his white blouse into a nice shade of crimson. Barth fell to his knees, and Tenshi sighed. She turned around and walked back, looking to Sesshomaru.
"Finish him off. He needn't suffer."
"With pleasure." Sesshomaru said as he released his sword and extended his claws. Tenshi turned her head to watch. With a quick swipe of Sesshomaru's claw, Barth's head was gone. His body lay limp on the floor, and blood now stained the hardwood cheery floors.

"He will make a good meal for you." Tenshi said as she lifted up the bottle of poison, and uncorked the top. Sesshomaru smirked as he began to butcher the body below him, slicing him for his meal. Tenshi looked to Sesshomaru and smirked, toasting the air.
"To the feast." She said sarcastically, before she put the bottle to her lips and drank, 'bottoms up' she thought.

Stone Stomach

The next morning the villagers found the remainders of Barth's body spread out on the ground, along with a room full of empty bottles, and a note explaining that Barth had been the one behind the Workshaw murders. It was left by Tenshi. The only reason Barth's corpse was recognizable was because they had left his head sitting on the sheet like a paper weight, his blood stained the black ink letters. Sesshomaru had devoured a good half of the man. And Tenshi had drank every drop of poison she could find.

Sadly though, she didn't die.
"Bleeech!" Tenshi urked as she vomited yet again. They where in the woods again, on the path to Meysmar, an ironsmith town. The poison had not killed Tenshi, but it still made her mighty damn sick.
"Argh… Disgusting.." Tenshi coughed as she wiped her face with a sheet of white cloth, what she had taken from Barth's shirt.

"Need you rest?" Sesshomaru asked as he stopped walking, yet again. Tenshi had been like this for over an hour.
"No.. If I stop walking we'll never get anywhere. URK" She spewed again.
"But your leaving a trail right to us." Sesshomaru said as he looked away. Ugh, disgusting.
"You're right.. Maybe we should rest." She agreed, before looking around. There was a creek near by.

It only took twenty minutes and four spews to get to the creek. Sesshomaru sat down beside a tree, and Tenshi sat down near the end of the creek where they wouldn't be drawing water. She threw up again. It was mostly bile, an array of colors from the different poisons she drank. Tenshi let out a groan.
"Isn't that bad for those infants in you?" Sesshomaru asked, referring to the poison.
"Oh let them die. I've killed them once already before." She said with a hiss, rubbing her bangs out of her forehead, Sesshomaru paused.
"…I think I would much like to hear this story." He said, although Tenshi leered at him. She wasn't in much condition to tell any story.

"When you are threw vomiting, of coarse."
"Yeah, of coarse." Tenshi said, before she groaned. She laid down by the side of the creek and shut her eyes. She'd sleep there for a while, sleep and throw up. Sesshomaru closed his eyes as well. They needed the sleep, they hadn't done so since before Barth's murder.

Sleep. Sleep and do not think of the things that have past.

The Injury

Tenshi_Kuronaho
It was dark out, practically 3am, when the door to the ACC opened up revealing a dark figure as lightning struck outside. A dark shadow slumped inside the building, grasping onto it's shoulder tightly. With a grunt Sesshomaru sat down in a chair beside the phone and winced, looking up at the phone. It was only right that he and Tenshi seperated in an attack like that. In fact, it probably saved his life. Although he was too proud to admit that.

He grabbed the phone and grunted, as he squinted at the numbers with one eye. He had to think of who could help him. Which of his allies would stop the bleeding long enough for him to recover?
"Rini..." No, Rini couldn't help. He then realised who he had no choice but to call, and dialed the numbers from memory.

"Hello... Kirika? It's me. Listen, come to the ACC right away. And bring Mirelle too. I need your magic."

Rune Traverse
(*squeaks* Mirelle will DIE. xDDD)

"You're sure he said magic?"

Mirelle's voice was thrown over her shoulder as the blonde young woman strode down the pavement, quick enough that her button-down white shirt snapped in the wind. The teleportation for the house was on the fritz again, and considering that they'd ended up two blocks away, she'd opted to not-quite-run for it rather than waste power on a second jump.

If Sesshomaru needed her, she was damned well going to get there as fast as she could.

"Yes." Kirika nodded, only a few steps behind her twin. Like Mirelle, she hadn't really bothered with getting dressed - her tanktop, like the blonde's shirt, was her usual sleeping attire. When it was Sesshomaru on the other end of the cell phone, both had simply dragged on jeans and shoes to come running.

They weren't alone, either. "He said magic." Chloe whispered, impossibly quickening her steps at the mere thought. Sesshomaru asking for magic? This had to be bad. Just behind her twin, Rose muttered a few curses under her breath, clutching the small wooden box of mage-equipment tighter to her chest. Between the four of them and the contents of the box, there wasn't much that couldn't be healed. Of course, when it came to Gaia, they'd probably be proven wrong in about five minutes, but it was a start.

Half-kicking open the door with a booted foot, the blonde entered like a barely-restrained tiger, sapphire eyes flashing through the room to land on the dog demon. They widened briefly in shock, a hiss of dismay escaping her before she could control it. He looked like s**t. "Sesshomaru?"

Tenshi_Kuronaho
Sesshomaru was sitting in a corner with his back to the wall, and the girls as they entered. But that didn't mean they couldn't see the blood puddled in the floor, or oozing between Sesshomaru's fingers as he clutched a tight compress onto his shoulder... Where his arm used to be.

His eyes where dull and his usual peachy cream skin had faded to an off white paste. He was light headed, molstly from blood loss. But he was trying to hide that from the others.

"You brought the whole party.." He said in a light whisper. He then struggled and leened forward, grunting as he stood. He then turned to face the girls, nodding his head quickly to the torn muscle and tissue hanging out from under his palm.
"I have a bit of a flesh wound. I need you to heal it for me. Nothing fancy, just stop the bleeding." he knew the arm couldn't be restored. It was just the poisons in his system had caused his blood to stop clotting. He needed a bit of assistance in helping the tissue fuse together. That was all.

Rune Traverse
"Ooookay." It was, rather predictably, Chloe who spoke first, gray eyes wide as saucers. "Not even gonna ask how you managed to get your arm torn off."

Rose elbowed her twin in the stomach, still holding her mage supplies. Mirelle's face had gone pale for a moment; then full lips pressed together, and one could literally see her switching into assassin mode. "Alright, get your top off. Was the attack poisoned or element based?" Her gaze flicked briefly to her sisters. "Chloe, bandages. Rose, he needs blood. Kiri, hot water." The other three young women leapt to obey. Though Rose was the better healer magically, Mirelle was no slouch. Besides, it was more important for Rose to use her abilities, rather than directing. Orders aside, the blonde turned back to Sesshomaru, steps brisk as she crossed the room to his side. "Sit down. And how does the poison in your system work?"

Tenshi_Kuronaho
Sesshomaru sat down in a chair and pulled his shirt the rest of the way off. The compress he was using had pretty much fused to his arm from the dryer blood clinging to his skin. He then firmly regrasped the cloth and looked to Mirelle, waiting for the other girls to get the supplies ready.

"Acidic. She threw a vat of acid on me, and when my defenses where down she had one of her slaves attack my arm with a meat cleaver. I tried to retreive my arm so I could refuse it back on, but it had fallen into a pool and I couldn't retreive it in time." he paused, making a satisfied grin.

"I cut the slaves head off and then sent the b***h swimming for it." He then looked around at the other girls.
"I managed to heal most of the acid burns, but the main artery is still open and bleeding."

At the question of his poison, Sesshomaru shook his head.
"The poison is in my swet glands and I can secret at whim in my fingertips and palm. It shouldn't be a problem around my shoulder." For that extra bit of zest, Sesshomaru deminstrated by letting the poison drip from the marks on his cheeks, after falling to the chair between his legs it began to simmer and wrot a rough circle in the padding.

Rune Traverse
Mirelle's lips quirked, and Chloe grinned happily as she retrieved several rolls of linen bandages from the box of supplies. "Now THAT sounds like you." The redhead commented, eyes sparkling with savage glee. It was a wonderfully vivid image, after all.

Kirika simply shook her head, well-used to both her siblings and Sesshomaru, and began filling a large metal bowl with water at the sink. It wasn't quite boiling yet, but - a whispered cantrip, and steam rose from the top of the now-burning liquid. There, that was better.

"I can close the artery long enough to clean the wound. Then we'll have to use some mage-heat to fuse it shut permanently." Rose settled fingertips lightly to the dog demon's wounded shoulder, the faint glow under her touch echoed in the spark of blue in her eyes. She kept explaining, mostly for Sesshomaru's benefit . . . her siblings knew full well what she'd be doing, having seen war wounds from Illuzen. "This will set healing barriers - slivers, really - in the path of the artery itself, making an illusion of the circulatory system and clearing out any remnants of the acid or toxins. They're fragile, so try not to jump too much. They'll also be replicating your blood at an increased rate."

Mirelle, meanwhile, had calmly collected some clean washrags and pulled a stool up to Sesshomaru's injured side, settling herself level with his shoulder - and wound - with calm practicality. Taking the bowl Kirika handed her, she placed it on a table at her side and dipped in one of the rags before meeting the dog demon's gaze squarely. "I need to get the compress off to clean it. I'll pull it quickly, so grit your teeth."

Tenshi_Kuronaho
Sesshomaru listened rather intently to what Rose explained, mostly because he had been entirely too hesistant to call them for help with magic. But alas, Tenshi wasn't around to help him and he assumed his method of 'burn it shut' wasn't a good one. He nodded.

"I can take it." He said to Mirelle as he let go of the compress he was holding onto his arm. It stayed put due to the blood trying around the edges and making it stick. But it was quickly starting to slide down due to the weight of the soaked up blood.

I Promise

She stood in the doorway with her arms at her side, face solemn. Her green eyes looked down at what had resulted from their journey with guilt and sorrow. And while she showed the most emotion she had since she had returned, it was Sesshomaru who now remained emotionless.

“Sesshomaru.. I’m so sorry.” She whispered, not letting her eyes leave the sight before her. The sight of Sesshomaru’s lost arm, or rather, what was once where it had been. Sesshomaru was sitting on the edge of his bed shirtless, the nub off his shoulder in plain sight. He moved his yellow eyes over towards the woman before him, and simply shook his head.
“I will be fine,” he finally answered, Tenshi’s shoulders slumped as she let out a deep exhale.
“I will fix this,” she said.
“Impossible,” he replied.
“You are a demon, a powerful demon, we can fix this.” Tenshi said stubbornly as she walked in front of Sesshomaru. She reached out and took hold of his chin, before raising his gaze to hers. “It is not right for you to suffer for my suicidal desires. I will find you another arm.” Sesshomaru smirked and pulled his head away.
“I will be fine,” he answered again. Tenshi frowned, before she reached down and ran her hand over the lump on her stomach.
“I saw you with that human.” Sesshomaru said curtly, there was a hint of resentment in his tone.
“Indu, you mean?”
“Yes.” Tenshi stayed silent. Sesshomaru let out a snort of a laugh.

“So you choose to live for her?” he asked, not looking up. He still could sense the slow nod that Tenshi gave, however.
“She.. she wont abandon me like the others have.”

“I wouldn’t have ether.” Sesshomaru said before he stood up, looking down at his now shorter guardian. Years ago he had to look up to see her eyes, but now that he was a man things had changed. Now it was she who had to look up to him. She, who was once a marvelous demon. Now nothing more than an empty shell ridden with the curses of human sin.

Tenshi clenched her shirt as she looked up at Sesshomaru. There where several minutes of silence, before Tenshi finally looked down.
“I wasn’t aware you felt that way.”
“It doesn’t matter. You are no longer the demon you once where, you’re nothing more than a mortal now. What I had felt is now dead.”
“I see..”
“…”
”I’m sorry.” Tenshi said again, closing her eyes as her hands fell to her side, fists clenching. Sesshomaru sat again, and began tracing his fingers over the healing stump off his shoulder.
“I wish to be alone now.” Sesshomaru said softly. Tenshi bent to eye level with Sesshomaru and set her hand on his shoulder.
“I will make it up to you, someday. Just you wait and see, I will regain my demon powers.” She said, before kissing him on the forehead. Sesshomaru didn’t answer, he simply kept the same static stare, looking right threw her.

Tenshi frowned and stood up straight again, before she turned and walked to the door. She paused as the light of the hallway created shadows on her sharp features.
“Just to let you know, I would have been honored.”
“Of coarse.” Sesshomaru said smugly. Tenshi let a small smile cover her lips, before she left the room and closed her door.

Sesshomaru was left in the pitch black of his room for a while, before he stood and walked over to the cell phone lying on his desk.
“Mirelle? Can you meet me now? Yes… By the river docks.”
