She's an officer of the national Technical Control Office. Meaning - she controls machines at factories to see if they can be used safely for the workers and the customers later on. She's a chemist, so controls machines at chemical factories or rafineries, or food manufacturers.

It's pretty nice, I assume. Government agency job is usually the finest, especially when you have the crisis going on.
