"Autumn is taking the pups into the house. With firewood, Im sure Fenrir will start a fire for everyone to go home to after this. He seems to be very versitile at these things." Wolfie shuffled through the pack again. There was nothing else in it for her to use really. Carefully taking out the first bottle, she held the bag over the opening.
"Im going to toss my pack down there. you can load them into it. I beleive theres a small amount of sheet in there. use it to keep them from clanking together." Wolfie let go of the bag and heard it go flop on the floor below.
"None of my Moonlits have anything of use to get you out of there really." Robyn and Ripple had disappeared again and Wolfie assumed they were either up to no good or up to very good. They never just sat idle. Those two were going to be her worst nightmare. Benson Laid down in the snow and yawned.

Lion walked over to the pack and picked it up. She opened it and found the sheet and pulled it out. Carefully she began to weave the sheet around each bottle and placed the bundle into the pack. "Ok, I put them all in there. I'm not to sure if there are any more bottles. I got all the ones I could see." Lion placed the pack on the ground and stepped away from it. "I'm glad my pup's are out of the cold! A fire sounds great right now." She tucked her hands deep into her pocket. Lion looked at Wolfie. "What do you think is in the safe? Now that the uh...Moonstones are away from it I'll try to get it dirty again." Lion pulled her hands from her pockets, picked up the canteen and took a small sip. She walked back to the safe bent down to pick up a little dirt. She slipped off a mitten and grabbed the dirt tossing it up over the safe. Nothing. "It still stay's clean." She said as she walked back to the opening. Lion put the mitten back on and tucked her hands in her pockets once more.

"very interesting." Wolfie commented. Robyn came back to her barking loudly. With a grumble, she pulled Wolfie away from Lion's hole and more into the yard. There was Ripple dragging a small wooden ladder across the yard.
Of course! There had been one under the porch for cleaning the gutters, but Wolfie had found it too short, the bottom having rotted away. It was still stable, just worn. "Thank goodness for old fashioned!" Wolfie commented as her pup dropped it at her feet. She knew it was much lighter than the ones that existed noadays. She never would have thought of the tiny thing. It might just be long enough for Wolfie to slip the rope around Lion.

Wolfie disappeared from the opening above her. She heard her walking away and some pup's barking. "Don't leave me for to long!" Lion yelled up at Wolfie as her footsteps faded. She wouldn't leave me stop worrying so much she'll get me out of here. Lion thought to herself and waited for Wolfie to return.

"I think I found you a way out. Ripple found my Aunts old ladder. Its light weight. Only thing is its short. Im trying to think of the best way to lift you out."

"Well if it is stable enough, you can lower it down to me. I can lean it up against this wall." Lion said as she pointed to the wall with the beam across the top. "I can climb up the ladder to reach your rope."

"Okay hun, here comes the ladder then." Wolfie carried the ladder over to the hole, stood on the supported side and lowered it slowly. "Im going to wrap the rope around the beam here first before you start coming up. It gives me some leverage."

Lion reached up to grab the ladder. Her hands gripped the bottom of it as Wolfie lowered it to her. "Ok, I need to get the moonstone's." Lion placed the ladder against the supported wall and walked over to Wolfie's pack. She placed the pack on one arm and slid the other thru it till it was safely on her back. She walked back to the ladder and shook it testing it's strength. She placed her right foot on the bottom rung and put some of her weight on it. "It seems sturdy enough. Are you ready?" She asked as she looked up at Wolfie.

Wolfie was busy looping the rope through the beam. She tied a couple knots on her end and handed the rope to the moonlits. The free end dangled. "Whenever you are."

"Ok, here goes." Lion put all her weight on the first step and began to climb the ladder. Slowly she made her way to the top of the ladder. Seeing the rope swinging above her. She reached out with one hand to the rope and grabbed it. She looped the rope around the ladder and carefully slipped the pack off her back. Lion then tied the rope around the top loop of the pack. "Here pull this up first, I don't know what moonstones are but if this don't work, I don't want to fall on a whole pack full of them!"

Wolfie laughed. "I wouldnt worry so much about the stones but your back. Dang, I dont think Ive ever seen one in a bottle like this. Whats the point of it? I need to show these to evermoon." Wolfie began hauling up the rope and was careful not to smack the pack on the pieces of board sticking out of the hole.

"Evermoon? Would Evermoon know about the safe?" Lion asked as she held on to the ladder waiting for Wolfie to finish up with the pack.

"I dont think so but it never hurts to ask." Wolfie set the pack far back from the hole.
"Okay the rope is coming down again. Tie it tightly to your waist. The moonlits are going to pull the rope to get you closer to me, then Im going to grab your arms and we will haul you up if we can. Just watch out for the beam. I dont need you hitting your head." Wolfie noticed the sticky little dent above Lion's eye. "Well, looks like you already did that once, eh?"

Lion watched as the rope came back down. Reaching out she grabbed the rope. "Ok, I'll have to do a little maneuvering to get the rope tied." Lion thread the rope thru a belt loop with one hand and leaned up against the wall. She then used both hands to loop the rope thru a few more belt loops and slowly turned around. "This is a bit harder than it looks." Lion balanced herself on the second to top rung of the ladder placing her back against the wall and tied the rope in a knot. "Yeah, I hit my head on the way down. I don't want to do that again!" Lion grabbed the rope just above her head. "Ok, I think I'm ready hun. The rope is as tight as I can manage. You can pull me up now!" Lion said a little to demanding. Realizing how that sounded, she said "Sorry, I feel like I've been down here for days. I'm a little on edge."

True waves Fenrir off to the kitchen for tea, and tries to take in the possible reason of such a collection of bottles. "No matter." True shrugs and braces himself against the rope, waiting for Wolfie's order.
