Oh, awkward, fairly awkward.
wahmbulance I too am not a big fan of yaoi, so this seems to be an awkward twist... But it looks like your theory in this matter is somehow reasonable. For sensei (Koge-Donbo*) to do that isn't so unexpected, considering that she's dealt with yaoi situations already (in Kamichama Karin Chu, when Karin gets amnesia, it shows one of wahmbulance Karin-chan's mangas wahmbulance , and it surely looked like yaoi). But what must these fetish behaviors of Sagami be? wahmbulance
Those seem to be really fetching information on them, Ari-tan! Now I'm getting to know the new sensei better!

It kind of is. neutral I do agree that it isn't really unusual for sensei to have a BL element to it, but the fact that this manga is targeted towards boys confuses me... If this was the case, shouldn't she have made categorized it as shoujo? Also, I get the feeling that this manga is going towards a more mature and darker side of the story, as I stay firm with my belief that once this gets to Western places it'll have a plastic wrapping and a 16+ rating. neutral And that shall be a Koge-Donbo* record. lol xD

Seeing how NSNTNP has violence, it can be greatly catagorized in the shonen area, but having those awkward scene[-ish] stuff, it should have a place in shuojo too (boys who read yaoi, definitely out of their depth...). I've always wanted to know if sensei was a yaoi fan, and would surely wonder why if yes too. As for a 16+ rating, you've got yourself a new place, sensei! 3nodding

It just makes sense o.o That and the fact that she did do doujinshi as a hobby back in her college days...

I actually forgot to mention this (which would actually cross out the impossible of adding shounen-ai/yaoi in a shonen manga) but, Tsubasa is actually a shonen manga, and the Fai and Kurogane relationship is actually pretty possible, plus the fact that CLAMP does make shonen and seinen manga series that shows hints of shonen-ai... What I'm saying is that it's actually not at all impossible to add hints or insert shonen-ai elements in a shonen series (with yaoi though it is kind of impossible seeing how it's aimed at older female viewers). CLAMP is known for their crossovers lol. Tsubasa is an interesting manga I hear, but the anime I've heard is slightly lacking a bit.

Tsubasa, hm. I've watched the anime. The ending is worse than my ability to use emotes other than gaia's. gonk It ironically goes from cutesy-wutesy to bloody-woody. Really. The amount of blood spilled on the 'Tokyo Revalations' version is enough to fill up your living space with.
