"Not heavy," the boy laughed. "Just built." He got up, letting her pull him to his feet. Patting his stomach, he gave her a wry grin. "Gae 'head an' hae a feel. It's all muscle."

Blinking a few times, she hesitantly reached a hand out and patted his stomach, blushing as she did so. Okay, so it was a little impressive. Hugging her own stomach, she was conscious of just how pathetic her physique was. "Bet your arms aren't half as strong as your abs..." She, of course, was playing, smiling up at him as she said it. Teasing was fun... perhaps she should try it more often. "Bet you can't lift me."

Rory put his hands on her hips and lifted her up almost over his head. "Easy t' lift you, lass. You weigh almost nothin'. Helps tha' i keep in shape liftin' th' colts up, yeah?"

Lee's eyes widened as her feet were no longer touching the ground, holding onto Rory's shoulders for support. She hadn't actually expected him to lift her. "O-okay, I believe you..."

Rory lowered her down into a hug. "Ready t' gae play in th' midway awhile?" He grinned at her, not exactly wanting to let her go really.

Happy to have her feet on the ground again, she looked up at Rory and smiled. "Yep." She didn't actually know what the "midway" was, but assumed it was something fun if you could play in it.

Oh, so that's where they were headed. Lee trotted by Rory's side, actually getting used to things like holding hands and hugging in public. "Eh? Really? Even the really small ones would be nice..." Her smiled widened at the thought. Something to remind her of Rory that she could cuddle with at night. Now she was expecting one. No pressure, Rory...

Rory chuckled, looking down at her. "It's a little different when one o' us plays th' games. Most people here donnae know a didikai when they see 'un, until w're in a costume, but the midway games tend t' gae easier on us just t' make th' games tha' much more appealin' t' th' outsiders."
He pulled her over to one of the games, nodding to the man behind the counter. "See, th' object o' this 'un is t' knock down th' milk bottles there wi' this ball." He handed the man some money and was given three balls. Turning, he held one out to Lee. "Want t' gi' it a try?"

Lee looked around, feeling a bit sorry for those that had no clue that they had little chance of winning. Still, she may get a stuffed animal out of the deal, so how could she complain?
Sizing up the distance between her and the milk bottles, she was fairly confident she wouldn't hit them. "I dun wanna waste your money..." She gave him an embrrassed laugh before shaking her head. She wouldn't want to humiliate herself, either.

Rory moved to stand behind her, close behind her, then took her hand in his. "Here, you aim your shot up like this, yeah?" He showed her how to line up the ball with the bottles. "Now pitch it as hard as you can."

Lee bit her lip, feeling slightly woozy with Rory so close behind her, but she paid attention to his little lesson as best she could. Her grip tightening, she took a deep breath before throwing the ball; not a girly toss, either, really throwing it as hard as she could. The ball, of course, missed by about a foot, and Lee turned, hiding her face into Rory's chest with shame. "I missed." As if he couldn't see that himself.

"It's alreet, lass. You just need some practice, aye," Rory laughed, wrapping his arms around her in a hug. "Here. I'll show you." He waited till she was watching again, then stepped back with one foot and cocked his arm back. The throw was dead-on perfect and the weighted plastic milk bottles went flying. "Not bad is it, eh?"

Standing out of his way when he threw the ball, her eyes widened when he manged to knock down every pin. She almost felt as if she should clap for him. Her mouth slightly agape, she was actually a bit proud that her boyfriend was so good at the game. "So you won already?"

"Aye, but I do all th' time," Rory chuckled. The man behind the counter just shook his head, laughing a bit. The boy looked down at Lee. "Which toy do you want?" He pointed up at the shelf of good-sized stuff animals.
