Eulalia Danae Roxanna gave Jarred an odd look as she followed him towards the stairs. "Was that necessary? I would have given the man just the twenty, would that have been a bad thing?" She was once again perplexed and mulling things over in her head, though it kept her distracted from the ugly flamingo print carpeting that coated the stairs. "I'd rather he not go blabbing to everyone about us all being here." He spoke once they were in the stairs. "Giving him more makes it less likely he'll shoot off his mouth." Jarred glanced at the key, getting the number. "Here, this floor." He opened the door, walking through and holding it open for her.

"Oh." Roxanna's head tilted slightly and then nodded. "I suppose you're right."
As Jarred walked through a bright pink plastic hotel lamp came flying at him. Kat was about to grab something else when she saw Roxanna, and stopped. "Oh, Roxy, Hey. You know it would have been nice if you guys knocked."

Eulalia Danae "Oh." Roxanna's head tilted slightly and then nodded. "I suppose you're right." As Jarred walked through a bright pink plastic hotel lamp came flying at him. Kat was about to grab something else when she saw Roxanna, and stopped. "Oh, Roxy, Hey. You know it would have been nice if you guys knocked." Jarred bobbed his head to the side, the lamp sailing out the room. "Hi."

Like Kat, Rook was standing behind and to the side, a small spike protruding from his wrist, inside the arc of the door so as to avoid instant detection.
"Kat? They're cool?"

Kat glanced back at Rook, "Roxanna's cool, don't know the other guy." She walked up to Jarred, giving Roxanna a glance, "do you mind?" She took Roxanna's shrug as a no, and to answer Jarred's question, pushed into a quick kiss. Jarred would taste the sweet flavor, but that was it.
Kat pulled back, utterly confused as she was getting absolutely nothing, and pushed in for a deeper kiss.

"Mind wha-" Jarred was quickly cut off as she pushed into the kiss. The kiss tasted like cranberries, which caught him off guard about as much as the kiss did.
He paused as she pulled back, "So, umm, what wa-"
The second time he decided to just go with it.

The second kiss lasted for a little while, Kat finding the whole experience entirely new herself, though she pulled away with a scowl on her face. "He's broken. That, or brain dead. I can't get through whatever the hell shields he's got set up. Where'd you find him, Rox?"

Kat shook her head, and moved to go sit down on the pink zebra-striped bed. "To be honest, probably the best kiss I've ever had, but not for the reasons you're thinking....or at least the reasons I think you are thinking."

"Kat can access a person's mind through her kiss, at least temporarily. It also tends to be sweetly flavored. I got what tasted like warm blueberry pie filling." Roxanna looked to Rook, "I don't believe we've met yet. My house is the one that blew up."

Rook retracted the spike, though he was left with a quizzical look on his face.
"My name's Rook. I helped Kat out of the Keeper facility, staged my own death so I could leave the Keepers, and here I am. Shame about the house. Looked nice." He turned to Kat, "You having issues, too?"
He turned to Jarred, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, I'm a shapeshifter. I can turn into things, people, fit into places that I normally shouldn't. That kinda thing."

"So, we've got a place everyone can hide out in, somewhere the bad guys shouldn't know about."
