A⋘⋘Nid Nevero⋙⋙Ω While Nid was busy trying to look as weak as possible he noticed that these were no ordinary beings. With careful consideration he put down his arms and said, "You two are too smart for that aren't you. I'm sorry to have insulted you it is hard to tell one's skills espesially when no names are spoken. I do come in peace though and I am a humble Tin Man that desires to learn almost as much as a sage." And with that he took off his shirt slowly to show that his upper chest and arms were mechanical. "I come from Rastabre, but I claim no home. I seek peace not war. Will you shun me or will you accept me? He let the last words ring in the ears of these two masters and anxiously awaited their answer. With a more relaxed pose that was oddly enough completly neutral that could in an instant become aggresivegiving away nothing besides his muscle control, he siezed up these strangers and was thankful for his many years spent in the mortal realm.

<---Io Terra---> xxxIo let out a small sigh, he had no way of telling if this man was telling the truth at all. The 'tin man' at first tried to deceive them by acting weak, which is a bad way to start off when not trying to be attacked. Now that both he and Ashlynn were sure this creature had tried to mislead them once, he wondered how Ashlynn would handle it. She seemed more rash then he, and it would not surprise him if she were to attack. Yet Io, true to his title, wanted to learn as much as he can before anything happened that would prevent him from doing so. At the same time, he must show that they had the advantage, and not this new traveller.
xxx"Yes," he began, "we are far too smart for such a folly attempt to deceive us... I am willing to let it slide, though I cannot speak for my companion here, but only after a few of my questions are answered." Io still hadn't figured out a way to discern this man's truths from his lies, but he was sure that something would give way if this man was to do so. "First, where have you come from? There are only Barthulian camps within twenty miles of this location."
xxxSome would consider it rude, but Io had the habit of bombarding people with questions when many were left to be answered. "You say you're from Rastabre, many kingdoms away, what brings you this far?" He almost wanted to pace, but found the strength against the action. "You wish to learn as much as a Sage? If so, what have you learned so far?" Then he gave this new man one more look, as if he got ready to open him up just to see what made him tick. "We left one set of tracks, from a small confrontation, and the only group nearby were being assualted by undead... What was you role in that play?" This last question was his determining factor, the one that would either trigger his own aggression, or if he would sustain himself long enough to learn more.

A⋘⋘Nid Nevero⋙⋙Ω From the look that this man gave him he knew that he wouldn't attack unless if Nid attacked him first, but the woman he was unsure of. Nid knew from the start that he wouldn't be able to hide as much as he would have liked and with the persistence of this man he knew he would be able to hide less. With a curse he understood the dangers that these strangers pose and the rarity of his story. And with that he started weaving his story throughout his head long before they would require him to tell it. Sighing slightly he said "Before I start my tale I wish for you to refrain from attacking me because nothing is as it seems with me. I have ties to Barthul only by fate and those ties are only skin deep. If you are rash you will find yourself very peculiar position." As they listened to the Tin Man they couldn't help but notice the many bugs that were crawling around. Even though they were unseen due to their burrowing and perfect camoflage, their movement was very noticable and it seemed to even the best, only the random movements of the insect world.

@->->---- Ashlynn Fervine ----<-<-@ Ashlynn stood straight abruptly, leaving her axes hanging loosely at her sides. If this 'Tin Man' was to pose a threat she could take him out at a moments notice. She appeared relaxed but in reality, she was never relaxed. Her muscles were ever so slightly tensed for action. Perhaps they could tell she was tensed, though perhaps not, it was very subtle.
She only glanced at the movements of the insects, she had been in far worse places that had carried thousands of the things and they were much bigger and very much in sight. She spoke harshly, cold and untrusting. Whatever part of her had softened before towards Io was now hard as iron again. "Speak then. I may refrain from killing you until I have heard all your tale."
Let him make of that what he would. Ashlynn glanced at Io and sighed quietly when she saw he was fully ready to trust this man. 'If injury is to be done to a man it should be so great that his vengeance need not be feared.'

A⋘⋘Nid Nevero⋙⋙Ω "Speak then. I may refrain from killing you until I have heard all your tale." As the woman said this Nid couldn't help but think of his past and chuckle. "I think you would find that very hard indeed my dear lady. Now then my story is a long one, but I shall shorten it up. I am a necromancer that much is true, but I am a peaceful soul and I am not from Barthul and being a necromancer is the only tie to that nation I have, besides seeing it before it thought of itself as a king. I was trained to be a necromancer and Cyber at a young age, but it was a forced training. I travel the lands learning what I can and doing what I wish. I have kept many notes in my journals and if you wish you may read them, although it may take a while if you don't skim. As for the undead in the other camp I took my revenge for them taking me hostage, I am a very peculiar creature and they wish to know more about me. I wish for peace, not war. I will kill in the worst of times. And with that Nid let these two beings digest this new information. He was ready if they attacked and thought him a liar. He wished it wouldn't come to that although with the girl he knew she would never be to far away from attempting to kill him no matter the circumstancees. He fumbled with his necklace nervously and wished again that he would have hidden it away instead of keeping it with him.

<---Io Terra---> xxxThis man was infuriating, in Io's eyes at least. His answers were open ended, and not to mention lacking detail. It only made Io want to ask much more questions than he ever had before. "I think you would find that very hard indeed my dear lady." Was a bold statement seeing how he has no idea as to Ashlynn's skill, not to mention that if she didn't know how to deal with rotting flesh and machinery, Io certainly did. Why intimidate opponents that little is known about? It was the only thing that kept Io's hand still. The the necromancer talked about seeing Barthul before it rose in power, so this man was ancient, but was Rastabre really that rich in Cybers before? He wasn't sure quite yet, as he himself never started into history until after he had left Rastabre. xxxThen the man had notes, which did interest Io, but the man's last set of statements that followed declined all notions of peace within the conversation. It did so in such a way, that Io had to speak against it. "You say you wish for peace, yet you have feelings of revenge so great that you would slaughter an entire camp with it's own men? Revenge is one of the greatest reasons for war to start, never has it been a way to end." Io then looked at the bugs, making sure none were to stay within twenty feet by shifting the sand around him, pusing them away. He even did so for Ashlynn, hoping she didn't think of it as an agressive attack. Io didn't know how deep the bugs may be in the sand, but he at least covered five feet under with the shifting sand as well. He had to take cautions before his next action. xxx"You are hiding far too much, and you talk of a false peace." Io stared at the man intently, "You have threatened us with these insects, you have provoked attacks from us with insults. You desire nothing more than battle. You speak of peace, but first you must find peace within yourself." This time, he spoke aloud how he was able to detect the man's split personalities. "Until you have done so, I wish to partake no more knowledge from your half truths and secrets." The next thing Io did was something that he also had a habit of doing. Knowledge was a powerful thing, and often difficult to find some worthwhile. For as long as he had known, he always requested and had given knowledge in return. "I am Io Terra, travelling sage. I too come from Rastabre, my years are few, and my skills are vast. You said that it would be difficult to kill you, I beg to differ. I have been fighting for peace, which may be contradictory, yet it is the easiest way to achieve it." He finished his talk with his own challenge, "I suggest you leave, or I shall give example as to why I feel I can end you."

A⋘⋘Nid Nevero⋙⋙Ω At this Nid couldn't help but realise that he was not completly in control of himself. "I wish for peace, knowledge, and war. Just like the three souls gathered here tonight. Three different minds all in one body one lusts for blood, another seeks knowledge, and the last wishes for peace. Right now I wish for peace but Bloodlust is not that far away I fear. You might be wondering how this happened. It is because of forbbiden knowledge that no mortal should seek. When years still mattered to me I found this knowledge and being the fool I used it. My mind was split at that point for reasons I search for now in order to abate my pain. A girl helped me out of the other camp and I lusted for blood to much to care. I agree with you that force should only be used by neccesity, which is why I sent my 'bugs' to defend me. He said with a chuckle and raised his hand showing not bugs but bones filed into little points that appear to the average person bugs. "I simply have fun when I talk, because so few are willing such as yourself. I set myself up for an attack and you take the first chance you get to destroy me. You think to that I move aggresivly when it is you who are prepared for war. I have insulted you less than you have insulted me. I never openly showed hostility. My 'bugs' are no different than your sand or her axes. You can kill me, but I am already dead. I would gladly die right here if it meant my soul would be free, but cursed was I when I bound it in a gem, and shattering my gem would mean my soul is destroyed. Kill this body, but know that my soul is still here. Your goal is never done and my goal haunts the living. I guess I was wrong and as to your Girlfriend I am sorry for all of her losses she has seen to many deaths."
"You wish for me to leave now then so be it, I will not bother you anymore. It is a shame I am sure we could have learned a lot from each other. I had wished for more from a fellow soul decending from Rastabre. "And with that the Tin Man collected his things and started heading off. Before he went ten paces he tunred around and called back "Before I forget young girl your Father is proud. His soul wouldn't find peace until you were told. I'm suprised you never heard him." And with that he turned around and set off at a simple pace that had no purpose and no rush.

@->->---- Ashlynn Fervine ----<-<-@ Through all of the interaction, Ashlynn remained still, her axes held ready in her hands. She made small sounds in the back of her throat, snorting when this 'Tin Man' proclaimed he had been insulted more then they. She shook her head as he said she'd seen too many deaths; no, she hadn't seen enough. She would not have seen enough until every Barthul soldier was slain. He started walking off and she almost relaxed, watching him go with cold eyes.
He stopped a few paces away and called over his shoulder. "Before I forget, young girl, your Father is proud. His soul wouldn't find peace until you were told. I'm surprised you never heard him."
Ash reacted as one who had just received the death sentence. She stood stock-still, unblinking, perhaps not even breathing. She just watched him leave, slowly fading into the distance. 'If injury is to be done to a man, it should be so great that his vengeance need not be feared.'

<---Io Terra---> xxxIo wanted to respond to the necromancer's words, wanted to explain his actions, but knew that trying to reason with a mad man was pointless. What bothered him most was probably the necromancer's accusations that Io was being aggressive, it wasn't until the man was becoming suspicious that he even started showing aggression, while the man brought out his bone spikes long before he had shifted the sand. "it is you who are prepared for war." That statement only made Io want to roll his eyes, of course I'm ready for war, we are in a war.
xxxYet at the same time, Io couldn't help but notice that this stranger knew so much about Ashlynn and little to nothing of Io. Was Ashlynn related to someone he should know? Io made a small name for himself in small towns that he helped, yet he had never heard of his companion until today. He turned toward her, "You okay?" Taking notice of her blank stare, almost as if she believed what the necromancer said.

@->->---- Ashlynn Fervine ----<-<-@ She shook her head minutely, in reaction to both Io's question and the stranger's words. She slowly sunk to the ground, letting her axes fall to the sand beside her. Ash wrapped her arms around her knees and stared blankly. The action put her in a very vulnerable position, but at the moment, she didn't seem to care. It was odd, for any that knew her no matter how long, to see Ashlynn sink to this level.
Her mouth moved but no sound came out. Her father had been dead for nearly a decade, killed by the very soldiers she planned to hunt to extinction. Yet this... this necromancer? What had he seen? Had her father's spirit really lingered so long after his death? Was that even possible? So many questions bounced inside her skull, yet she knew none of the answers. She looked up at Io, a look of utter helplessness replacing the mask of anger and hatred she normally wore. 'If injury is to be done to a man, it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared.'

<---Io Terra---> xxxIo knelt down beside Ashlynn and after a few moments of silence, sat down. "I don't know the significance of his final words towards you, but I can assure you one thing." He looked up towards the sky, "Parents are always proud of their children, especially when they do something that they were raised to do." He thought of his own family, he barely remembered them as he never really stopped to think about them. His mother taught him to read, while his father was the one who showed him to defend your beliefs, even if others did not.
xxx"What the necromancer said, it was meant to hurt you... The bitterness in his voice indicated that." Io was sure that the man's intentions were never right to begin with. "But what I'm going to tell you is what I believe." Io fiddled the sand with his fingers, "I don't think your father's spirit was without peace while he was with you, but rather full of it... Otherwise, how could he be proud?" He stood back up and dusted himself off. Then he held out a hand towards Ashlynn, "Come on, the world awaits."

@->->---- Ashlynn Fervine ----<-<-@ Ashlynn looked at Io as he sat down beside her. She listened to him speak without saying a word, staring at him blankly. He stood up and held and hand toward her. "Come on, the world awaits." She looked at him a moment before hesitantly placing her hand in his. That single, simple gesture, meant more for Ashlynn then any could understand. <---Io Terra---> xxxIo helped Ashlynn up and continued towards Traveller's Cave. Stepping inside, the place itself gave off a different feeling than most caves, instead of being damp and cold, it was warm and quite comfortable, as if were a room and not a cave at all. It was also dark until Io sent a small flare into the center of the cave, lighting what seemed to be a campfire. On both sides of the cave were stone benches, built directly into the walls.
xxx"Now comes the magical part... Where would you like to go? Mind you, I only know a few of potential exits, but I will get us as close as possible." Io didn't know how many people knew the secrets of these caves, but it couldn't be much. And less knew how to take advantage of this secret.

@->->---- Ashlynn Fervine ----<-<-@ XXX Ashlynn followed him closely as they resumed their journey to the Cave. She stepped inside and felt instantly at peace, as if no harm could come to her as long as she were here. Io sent a small flare into the cave and lit a campfire, lightly the cave so that they could see into all corners of the cave. It was simple, and not at all the cold or damp she had come to associate with caves. Plain stone benches decorated the walls on either side of the cave, carved right into the stone itself.
XXX She started slightly when he asked her were she wanted to go. She stuttered slightly as she answered, no one had ever asked her opinion before, "Oh, uhm... I don't know. I wasn't really heading anywhere after that group of soldiers was dispatched." She dug her toe into the dirt that served as the floor in the cave; looking down at her feet. 'If injury is to be done to a man, it should be so great that his vengeance need not be feared.'

<---Io Terra---> xxxIo smiled briefly, finding it slightly humorous how swiftly Ashlynn's facial expressions change. He regained himself mostly because he did not want to have her feel like she was being mocked. He went to a bench and splayed out a hand over towards the other, indicating she should take a seat as well. "Then we should start with Loy," remembering that there is no cave that close to Loy, and there would still be a day's journey afterwards, "well, near Loy. I need to restock on supplies and no city has better prices." It was quite true, as it was a city full of thieves and bandits, taking things from others and selling it for profit. Lately though, they have been raiding Barthulian supply routes and pirating their ships. "But, you may want to make sure anything valuable isn't visible or is somewhere safe."
xxxHe wondered why Ashlynn was so nervous, as if she had never experienced anything but battle. Io then figured he would feel ill at ease as well if not for years of talking with all sorts of strangers. He even started getting a sixth sense as to who would help him and who would hurt him. This was why he didn't trust the necromancer, because he saw somewhere inside the man was a force that wanted to hurt, not help. It may not have been the necromancer's fault, but Io didn't want to have to try camping with someone who would harm him just as soon as his back turned. He shook his head slightly as he waited, but decided to converse shortly. "Have you travelled in a party before?" He was curious, seeing how she seemed uncomfortable about the current situation.
