You're my number one princess in the world I'll look out for you or you'll wander off, right? "Neither of us are barely awake..."Alfred could tell Arthur would rather just stay curled up asleep, he's not much of a morning person, but Alfred wanted to be selfish. He would let Arthur get away with what he wants any other day of the year... Okay so his birthday was yesterday but Arthur didn't celebrate it properly, so Alfred took the liberty upon himself to extend the 4th of July for a whole extra day! F*** yeah! Two birthdays in one year! Alfred laughed out loud to himself as he rummaged through his draws suddenly realising all his clean t-shirts were on the floor... He picked up his favourite 'I <3 NY' t-shirt and put it on. He came back into the room and frowned at the fact England only got half-way to getting dressed. "Nowhere... Just out... C'mon Arthur!"Alfred kicked him lightly on his shin but you could tell by his grin that he was being playful. "Oh yeah, your shirt from the other day... It's probably in the hallway or something..."Alfred laughed as he recalled England's drunkard moments, although it wasn't so funny to him back then and now he couldn't help but tease."Next time you get drunk, please don't sing."Unexpectedly, I held you tight. That all of a sudden! Eh? "You'll get run over, it's dangerous," I say as I look the other way ...this here sure is dangerous.

Whatever, don't say that I'm selfish But it's okay to scold me a little, you know?.... Arthur pouted when Alfred came back in seemingly disappointed that he hadn't fully gotten dressed. Hey it was his fault for exhausting him so much last night! Arthur blushed madly at the thought but shook his head defiantly, turning away from the American, hiding the tinge. Shifting about in the blanket, he mumbled, "... But I'm hungry. You're rubbish, I thought you said you would make me breakfast?" He yawned and stretched his arms out above him, scratching the back of his bed-messy hair. A bright pink sprite - who had evidently followed him all this way - giggled from behind the sofa and flew out onto Arthur's head, attempting to smooth out the locks. "Hey, what? Ahhh, Tavi, I said not to follow me! Gettoff, I'll do it myself!" He ran his fingers through the blonde mass, but Tavi was persistent, giggling, seemingly enjoying this. The Englishman groaned and stared at Alfred with desperate eyes, dropping his hands. "... It's not like I meant to sing." He remarked defensively, addressing the earlier request, stepping to his feet. "Not my fault if the entertainer within me only comes out when I'm rather incapacitated." Chest and back now bare, free of the rug, he let the sun rays wash over him, warming him slightly. He pouted and shifted his half-lidded eyes to the American. "Do you have another shirt I can borrow? And... feed me something, the maybe, maybe, I'll go out to nowhere with you." He sighed, one hand on his hip, the other at the back of his neck, and glanced around the room. How annoying, why wasn't there a clock in here? You look good with a white horse, right? Pick me up me with that. If you got that, serve me, take my hand and call me "my princess"

You're my number one princess in the world I'll look out for you or you'll wander off, right? "I was gonna make yo-"America didn't bother finishing his sentence since Arthur had gone back to talking to his imaginary friends again. Alfred would have pointed out that fact that they don't exist but he knew he would only recieve a lecture about how they do, and how Alfred has seen them but only at halloween and blah, blah... This strange characteristic was amusing though. America wouldn't change him for the world. Oh these demands were coming quick and fast. The hopes for having two birthdays in one year were quickly declining, seemed like he would have to rush around for the half-dead Englishman anyway. "Seems like my fridge was raided yesterday... I only have a few pizza slices... I was thinking about buying something out anyway. I might have eggs? Sunny side up or down?"America grinned, just saying the word sunny has got to make you smile! "Heh, and I'll get you a shirt, don't worry."
Unexpectedly, I held you tight. That all of a sudden! Eh? "You'll get run over, it's dangerous," I say as I look the other way ...this here sure is dangerous.

Whatever, don't say that I'm selfish But it's okay to scold me a little, you know?.... The more the sun's grateful rays warmed up the Englishman, the more awake he became. He was good with sleep deprivation, but that didn't mean he was a morning person. Truth be told, he wasn't that tired, but the mere fact that it was some forsaken time in the morning was enough of a psychological effect to make him resent waking up. But the heat of the more powerful summer than what he was used to, was refreshing at this time, and he supposed he didn't really want to waste time sleeping while his prince was up doing things. Uh, America, not prince. Better be careful not so say that aloud... Bugger. Stretching up onto his toes and yawning loudly, he lost his balance slightly and stumbled into the idly standing America. Instinctively, he rebounded instantly, cheeks reddening, before he realised... He let out a deflated sigh and fell back onto the American limply, speaking into his shoulder, rather muffled.
"Get me a nice shirt, yeah? Nothing that you would wear casually, God no..." Peeping his head over the American's shoulder, he managed to catch a glimpse of his unkempt self in the mirror. Frowning at the eyes that stared back, he reached round Alfred and frantically patted and smoothed down his hair. "Screw making breakfast, we'll eat out." Though defeated, there was no mistaking that jovial tone in his voice. You look good with a white horse, right? Pick me up me with that. If you got that, serve me, take my hand and call me "my princess"

You're my number one princess in the world I'll look out for you or you'll wander off, right? Something smart? America absent mindedly wrapped his arms around England when he fell into him as he wondered whether there were any smart shirts that weren't crumpled on the floor or dusty on the hangers... Or there was that suit that Arthur had baught him years back. God... Did he still have that? He must have thrown it in with the rest of treasurable junk in the closet... There was no way he could dig that out now anyway. He was sure Arthur would be either pissed off that he never wore it or just... That was before he became independent... But the only times he actually made an effort to dress up were for the world conferences, but that was only because his boss told him too. "Screw making breakfast, we'll eat out." "Yessir!"America mocked and gave England a rather lazy salute (the American way! F*** yeah!) which was followed by a wink. Alfred ruffled his hair, oh he was on a roll today, but England wasn't going to kill him so soon after his birthday, right?"Why do you bother? It still looks messy."America quickly left the room to check his wardrobe. Sure enough, at the bottom was a clean shirt. It was slightly creased. Nah, I can barely notice it, why would England? Alfred chucked the shirt at Arthur then grabbed his keys, shoving them into his pocket."C'mon then!"The US of A grinned. Oh, he was just an excited teen, he wasn't going to grow out of that mentality anytime soon.
Unexpectedly, I held you tight. That all of a sudden! Eh? "You'll get run over, it's dangerous," I say as I look the other way ...this here sure is dangerous.

Whatever, don't say that I'm selfish But it's okay to scold me a little, you know?.... Arthur scowled at the shirt that America lobbed at him, fumbling with it, giving him a sort of 'is that the best you could find?' look. Creased, it was creased! There was no way a dignified Englishman such as himself would wear a shirt so unkempt. Quirking up an eyebrow, he shifted his gaze to the mirror again. Okay, so this morning wasn't exactly about tidiness, was it? Sighing and shaking his head, he conceded. "I suppose it'll do." He suppressed a laugh, tugging the slightly-too-big shirt on, buttoning up as Alfred made his way to the door. Impatient, so impatient! "Gosh, will you wait a minute?" Came a slightly frustrated tone before Arthur dashed into the downstairs bathroom, quickly running cold water over his face and hair, letting out a little yelp at the coolness, shaking off the excess, making himself look at least a bit more presentable. He sighed, turning off the tap, and stared at his wet visage, a grin slowly making its way onto his lips. "Bet you're glad you came now, eh old chap?" Sighing, Arthur saw the reflection of the fox from the earlier night. Shooting him a failed glare through the smile, he simply let out a quiet chuckle before running back out the bathroom, giving the creature a shove as he went past. Back in the hall, he slipped his shoes on, hopping next to the American, straightening up properly. Sneakily, a hand brushed against Alfred's, tentatively. "So, where's nowhere?" You look good with a white horse, right? Pick me up me with that. If you got that, serve me, take my hand and call me "my princess"

You're my number one princess in the world I'll look out for you or you'll wander off, right? So maybe England did noticed it was creased... What was wrong with just throwing on a t-shirt, anyway? America opened the front door once England was beside him, temporarily ignoring that subtle moment of contact between their hands."Y'know, just somewhere."Alfred's grin broadened in an attempt to convince the other that he wasn't totally making all this up as he went along. His smile softened and he stood there in silence for a second just admiring the older nation. He then took his hand, interlocking fingers. America shut the door then pulled England along in a random direction away from the house. Erm... "Hey! I know, let's go to McDonald's!"Obviously it was the first thing that came into his head but the idea of being able to have burgers for breakfast was all too awesome to even bother thinking of any 'better' idea! Hey, England would have to eat as America did. When in Rome.. wait Rome? Some sorta saying. Besides McDonald's fries were heavanly, England had to be converted! (Why does he bother cooking when he can't cook anyway?) McDonald's is in the other direction... America took a 180 degrees spin, hoping England could keep up what with him holding his hand and all. Smooth... No it's ok, you don't look like a complete idiot, yet, America.Unexpectedly, I held you tight. That all of a sudden! Eh? "You'll get run over, it's dangerous," I say as I look the other way ...this here sure is dangerous.

Whatever, don't say that I'm selfish But it's okay to scold me a little, you know?.... Arthur rolled his eyes. how much more vague could you get? They were going to nowhere that was just somewhere. Hm. America's was a big place, truth be told, Arthur never really liked coming here alone anymore, it was so much bigger than his home. Something about that concept still didn't fit right with him. It's not that he'd get lost or anything, quite the adverse, his pirate navigational skills still stayed with him! Though... the feeling of being yanked in an uncalculated manner with Alfred, something about it was oddly comforting, while another part of him felt terribly uneasy. He frowned, sighing at his ignored gesture, falling into one of his childish moods, but only momentarily before his hand was grabbed so affectionately. Cheeks flushing, he groaned as he was tugged about, the glaring sun frustrating him already. "McDonalds?! Are you f***ing kidding me?! Don't you have a local chippy we can go to, or something?" Another groan. Of course there wouldn't be. So uncultured and tasteless, unlike England, of course. Still, he conceded, knowing there would be no alternative. Shitty American fast food restaurants galore! England deflated a little before sighting the fox again. Glaring at the entity, he perked up immediately and gripped Alfred's hand tighter. "Come on then. I'm famished, you've been a rubbish host and not fed me since I've been here." Tugging gently, he took the lead, poking a tongue out though a pout at the nation behind him.You look good with a white horse, right? Pick me up me with that. You're my number one princess in the world I'll look out for you or you'll wander off, right? Ouch.. How could he say such harsh things about McDonald's?!"Local.. chippy?"Wait... Chips = Crisps and Fries = Chips? It was strange how Alfred had managed to invent his own version of the English language. He did it just as a way to rebel against Arthur. Not that Arthur could spell his own langauge either. Why put 's's where you pronouncs them like 'z's? So, chippy was reffering to fries! America was quickly getting the hang of this. Little did he know that it involved battered fish too, one of the few truely British dishes that Arthur loved. "But you can get fries at McD's too!"The US of A grinned now that that was cleared up. Besides, America wasn't going to voice it, but American fries where 20 times better than English 'chips'! Damn, England didn't have a clue how to cook. Alfred felt his hand be gripped tighter and Arthur moved on ahead of him. Alfred smirked. "Well I haven't been that rubbish a host, have I?"He would know full well what he meant.Unexpectedly, I held you tight. That all of a sudden! Eh? "You'll get run over, it's dangerous," I say as I look the other way ...this here sure is dangerous.

Whatever, don't say that I'm selfish But it's okay to scold me a little, you know?.... But what are chips, without fish? Ooh, or a good old English breakfast fry-up. Yes, that's what he wanted. But it was pretty evident that America wasn't going to appreciate that at all. Since Alfred had become independent, it was as if everything England had taught him had suddenly been disregarded, much to Arthur's discontentment. But still, he was hungry, and had to give in, he was at the other end, now. He twitched at the sly comment made by the American, striking his ears, making them perk up. "Well I haven't been that rubbish a host, have I?" ... Idiot!
"D-don't be so sure... Besides, wasn't it me who started off as entertainer?" Arthur winced at his own comment, too late to retract it. It was still too early, too easy for him to be making comments that he could very easily regret. "S-stop arguing! Can't we just go? I don't care where now..." So long as I'm with you.... idiot. Pouting, he slowed his pace, walking more by Alfred's side. He dug his free hand into his trouser pocket, still pouting, for a reason he himself didn't understand.

You're my number one princess in the world I'll look out for you or you'll wander off, right? "Fine, fine. Chill, Artie~"Alfred laughed and let go of his hand and wrapped his arm around Arthur's waist, pulling him in close."You just don't want to continue an arguement you know you'll lose."Seeing Arthur so flustered was fun, but he knew he could only push it so far. America quickly retracted his arm from around Arthur's waist, he knew England didn't like to lose. "Hey, we're here!"They'd reached the entrance of heaven on earth! Oh, he could smell the oily fries already! America ran to the cash desk, his expression like a child in a sweet store, but that's hardly much of an analogy, is it? "May I take your order, please?" Asked the woman behind the desk, with a fake grin plastered widely on her face, hair back in a net and a name tag reading 'Sarah'. "Can I get; a Big Mac, two cheese burgers a large coke and fries- wait supersize me! What do you want Arthur?"Unexpectedly, I held you tight. That all of a sudden! Eh? Whatever, don't say that I'm selfish But it's okay to scold me a little, you know?.... Cheeks flared up again as Arthur was drawn in to the American. At least now he could blame it on the heat. Hesitantly, he slinked his hand around to Alfred's waist, but instead of slipping around it, he simply held on to the rim of his jeans and the bottom of his shirt. "You just don't want to continue an argument you know you'll lose." Arthur stopped in his tracks for a second, glaring at the American, before continuing to walk in step with him.
"Shut up, I'm tired, and you never win our arguments anyway. I'd just rather not start one when I'm still rather sore." Oh, you clumsy b*****d. England mentally face-palmed himself, hoping to God that America didn't catch on to what he meant. Before long, they had reached the Golden Arches, something turning inside Arthur's stomach, his face twisting slightly. Sure, he had McDonalds at home, but that was only because of some ridiculous demand of his people, soon enforced by America, of course. It's not like he personally liked the stuff. America had let go of him, and he felt himself deflate a little again. Following slowly behind, he studied the menu boards overhead. Nothing looked even vaguely appealing... But he barely had time to think before he was posed with the question of what he wanted. Startled he stared at the driven down entity behind the counter. He couldn't help but feel sorry for her... "Good morning, uh... Sarah. I'll have some tea, please. And, the, uh, fillet of fish...? With some chips. ... Please." Arthur attempted to be nice, but it was kind of hard given what he was about to eat... It was the closest he could get to fish and chips though. A quick realisation hit him. "Fries! I mean fries, not chips..." He frowned and stared back at the overly happy America, wondering how on earth he could possibly like this junk...You look good with a white horse, right? You're my number one princess in the world I'll look out for you or you'll wander off, right? The over-tired girl kept the smile up as she nodded at both of their orders."Oh, you're British!" She then realised it was not part of her job to make small-talk and so pressed a few buttons on the till before looking up at the two again. "Anything else?""No, it's cool."'Sarah' went to go collect the food and returned within seconds. That's why it's called fast food. She placed the food on a tray and Alfred exchanged the money. "Thank you. Have a nice day!"Alfred returned the fake smile with a more genuine one before shoving Arthur's order into his hands and slightly struggling to hold all of his own. "Why can' English wai'resses be so happy?"Alfred said through a mouthful of fries once they were out of ear-shot of the girl. Swallowed."Hey! Let's go to Central Park! Ya don't wanna eat here."Unexpectedly, I held you tight. That all of a sudden! Eh? "You'll get run over, it's dangerous," I say as I look the other way ...this here sure is dangerous. Whatever, don't say that I'm selfish But it's okay to scold me a little, you know?.... Arthur simply nodded politely and smiled at the amazement upon realisation of his nationality. He always got something like that whenever he visited America, people so fascinated at the way he talked. Well, he couldn't blame them, England was bloody fantastic, after all.
England could have sworn he fell asleep at the counter because it took only an instant for their food to arrive, Arthur's order being thrust at him. Oh geez, was he really about to eat this...? He down at the loosely wrapped package in his hands with a look of disgust on his face. Well... he supposed he had no choice, and at least the tea was hot. Taking a sip from the warm cup, he picked at the wrapping, unraveling it with his free hand, somewhat skillfully. Oh heck, it looked so plastic... Still, tentatively, he took a bite. Mmkay... so it wasn't that bad... He shot a sideways glance to the American, quirking up an eyebrow.
"You really think she was actually cheery? Think about it, that's a 24 hour joint, she's probably been working since about midnight, about to get off the clock, and we come in giving her extra work. Not everyone's as stupidly chirpy as you all the bloody time." He took another bit of his burger, picking at the chip box that he cleverly placed in his pocket for easy access. The tea definitely helped him wake up, he was feeling more like his sarcastic self, much to his delight. Oh wait, where were they going? Central Park? Something like that. Arthur sighed, although an alfresco with Alfred didn't sound too bad... "It's not far from here, is it? And... it looks like you could do with a table..."You look good with a white horse, right? You're my number one princess in the world I'll look out for you or you'll wander off, right? Alfred muffled words about 'at least she tries' inbetween slurps of coke and mouthfuls of fries. Alfred might be unnaturally cheery but Arthur was unnaturally grumpy. Opposites attract... "Hey Arthur? Smile!" America managed to poke his tongue out through his usual smile. Sometimes he wondered whether all he did was annoy Arthur. Why is smiling so bad? He poked Arthur in the sides, forgetting about his skillful balancing act of paper bags of burgers, fries and coke. He managed to juggle the items getting the bag under his arm, the fries in one hand and the coke in another, with the loss of only two fries. America pouted nonetheless. Two precious fries! "Yeah, it's near and I don't need a table!"Alfred gave the grin that read: 'Because I'm just that awesome!' and led the way. Once they reached the place it was strangely peaceful. It contrasted greatly with the busy streets of New York, even though it was some ridiculous time in the morning. But in the Park itself, it was practically empty, well apart from the keen baseball players, practicing at the occasional pitch, but Central Park was such a large place that they could easily be ignored. The Sun was just rising, still hiding behind the thick canapy of the trees. They walked past a children's playground which was deserted. It seemed little children didn't play this early in the morning... Alfred hadn't actually checked the time when he woke up... how early was it? Oh, but wait! The young-spirited-American suddenly felt like a kid again, the nostalgia of the days when he ran around in his cowboy outfit, when Arthur used to smile more. No, Alfred, you've just turned 19! What is wrong with you? The American had to try and act more mature, he was an adult now, he was independent and needed to show Arthur that leaving him really was the right thing to do! The US of A sat down on a nearby bench, eyeing the swings slightly, stuffing his mouth with a cheese burger, which was quickly diminished before he went onto the next. This wouldn't do... The childish grin crept up again."Leth go on tha fwings!" (let's go on the swings!)
Unexpectedly, I held you tight. That all of a sudden! Eh? "You'll get run over, it's dangerous," I say as I look the other way ...this here sure is dangerous.
