"Hm? Who?' Ash tore her eyes, once again, from a couple of the Raevans playing by the pool. So many questions buzzed about in her head. She looked at Ebony questionably wondering what had stirred her to stop the conversation and apparently gawk at. Like I know anyone here... She followed the grey eyed stare of Ebony to a remarkable good looking guy. She followed suit in staring at him too. She had been doing a lot of that lately.
With eyes keen on this new fellow, she began to speak again in a slower pace. "Oh, I don't know him... But maybe we should get to know him?" She had, for the moment, forgotten about the Raevans and was drooling over this new piece of eye candy.

A faint tinge of blush rose to Kuna's cheeks at the offer. "You are far too kind," she said with a light smile, taking a moment to spread some of the lotion on her own arms. "No, I don't mind at all." She looked back over at 'the kid' as he put it and smiled a little more. "You probably get this question a lot, but what is Domevlo exactly? I haven't seen any quite like him before today."
Curious amber orbs followed Xan's gaze to the two gawking women, at which Kuna had to chuckle. "It looks like you've gained yourself a few admirers," she said in a light tease. "I imagine that must happen to you a lot."

Those silver orbs widened when the man took notice of her and tipped his hat in greeting. A tinge of red soon stretched across those sun kissed cheeks as she quickly leaned back, shoving her shades back up and pretending to look elsewhere for the time being. Ebony couldn't have been more embarrassed about oogling the man, but to have him catch her too was a little too much to bare.
"Y-yeah...may be we should." Ebony managed to spit out, trying to desperately make her voice sound smooth and uninterested. She had a reputation to up hold after all. Ebony Shade did not do star struck school girl! Though she would have to introduce herself properly later for the man could be a fellow guardian. And it was always good to meet new guardians. "Later though, I think. He seems busy right now."

Xan could only chuckle as he poured some lotion in his hand. "Turn around." He breathed waiting for Kuna to situate herself before rubbing the lotion on her back. No undertones were in his action just a simple exchange of kindness. Though leaning to whisper to Kuna he gave a soft huff, "I would be lyin' if I said I was used to it. Still catches me off guard." Truth being he wasn't uncomfortable but he definitely couldn't get used to eyes on him. "What about yourself miss? Do ya have some admirers of your own?"

Kuna turned around in her seat as told, pulling her hair over her shoulder so that it didn't get in the way. She listened in silent amusement as the silver-haired man admitted to being surprised by the attention. "Oh, I get the occasional compliment," she admitted casually. "Although regrettably most are not very gentlemanly in nature. Especially when it's at work." No, most of the men who entered the tattoo parlor were the exact opposite of gentlemen. Nevertheless, the artist enjoyed her work and was willing to put up with occasionally brutish customers in the process. "Thank you again," she said after he had finished applying the lotion to her back. "You truly are quite kind."

She blinked, her concentration was thrown off. She had realized they saw her and quickly turned her head. Her ears were red hot, burning with the embarrassment of being noticed. Ash looked at Ebony who was now back in the same position she had been in, a little flustered from before. She rubbed the back of her head trying to shake off the embarrassment so that when she spoke, her voice wouldn’t shake. No luck had helped her then, “Y-yeah…” She inhaled sharply at her stupidity, Just relax! She told herself as she sat back in the beach chair, wincing at the pain on her shoulders. The sunscreen had helped, but nothing but time would soothe the previous damage.
Ash let her eyes roam, bouncing from one guest to another, then the DJ, and finally Ebony. She mentally took note of her, her hair, her looks… The way she filled a bikini… She blushed and dropped her head, Look at me, checking out a girl! Then she looked at herself, a tank top and shorts. She shifted uncomfortably in them, obviously not what she was used to.
Being unable to avoid the question that stayed in her mind, she looked again at the violet haired woman. ”You’re probably are asked this, well, a lot,” she drew in her breath to contain her excitement, “What are Raevans?” This first question would have to do. There was no need to bombard her new acquaintance with her nonsense.

Varun nodded approvingly when Domo played along, meeting his gaze and offering something that may have been an attempt at a smile. It faded quickly and the redhead had already fixed his green gaze back on LuLu, motioning for her to come and join them. Suddenly, his guardian caught his attention. Fins extended inquisitivly, he waved to Domo and LuLu and zipped over to the women in question. "Right back, be!"
He made a beeline for Kinsey, nodding to his guardian breifly before diving into the beach bag. He pillaged through towels, his clothes, Kinsey's book and- ah ha! The squirt guns they had borrowed from Kinsey's little brother. He had demonstrated how to use these a few days ago; Varun was fairly certain he knew how. He flashed Kinsey his most innocent look before darting back to his friends.
"Play. These. Splash, like Dome'lo." Varun nodded sagely and handed one to the grey Raevan before realizing he only had two. The redhead frowned slightly and glanced up at LuLu. "..." He was at a loss. The leviathan really wanted to play squirt gun battle, but there were three of them and two squirt guns! "...can...share?" Oh, how he hated that word!
Meanwhile, Kinsey could only watch as Varun waved arms and little plastic toys around. Oh, dear. She could only hope the other two would keep him in line. It was probably time for some damage control, make nice before her redhead actually did anything she'd regret. Standing slowly, she put her hands in her pocket and began to mingle around the crowd, looking around for the man she thought she'd seen arrive with the Raevan making friends with Varun and LuLu.

Soon thoughts of hot men and embarrassment lifted from her mind as the sun's rays embraced her skin, warming it and doing more to darken that already rich tan. Her earlier fears and frustrations melted away, allowing her to finally relax. It was a nice day to simply lounge by the pool. Ebony contemplated taking a short nap.
Seemed that would have to wait though as her new acquaintance finally spoke up again, curious to the group of half bodies floating about. Without even moving her head to look at the girl, "People, just like anyone else really." Ebony said as if it were the most logical thing in the world.
Finally tilting her head to the side to look at Ash, the woman chuckled. "But I take it that's not what you meant. From what I can gather, as I'm not all that sure of the exact process of their existence, they are creatures created through the combination of science and magic." She sat up fully then and pointed to the trio of Raevans playing by the pool. "When they're born they come out looking like that. I know, they look fully grown despite missing their lower halves, but I assure you they are as naive and curious as any two year old."

Ash giggled. The violet haired women was right, the Raevans looked fully grown, minus the torso, but they where acting like a bunch of kids playing by the water. "Looks like fun..." she mumbled though she was truly intrigued by this. Today is such an exciting day! A change from her boring routine. Her soft purple eyes fixed on the sky, shining with excitement.
Then another question popped in her head. One that made her almost jump out of her seat! She turned her shining eyes toward the woman with a eager smile on her face. They seem to have.... caretakers?" Something so fragile as these Raevans didn't seem to be the usual pet. "Do you care for any of them?"

Waving her hand dismissively towards the girl's comment, "Mmm...I suppose...there's a more grown one floating about. Rivener. He's not hard to miss, red and black hair, a little intimidating in the way of looks, but he's pretty easy going for the most part." Speaking of the Scorpion served only to remind her of Aphismet. She looked around wondering where he'd made off to. Hopefully Rong Wei hadn't scared him off with her direct attitude. She should probably apologize to him.
Ebony idly played with a strand of her hair when asked about her Raevan. She was still coming to terms with the possibilities of what was to come with that. Although no longer angsting over her fears, the Brit still couldn't build herself up to be excited either. Maybe things would be different once she actually meet them? "Yes, they are appointed guardians since they are particularly children. I don't care for one yet, but I've come to see that everyone in the Raevan community seem to help one another out with them. A town to raise a child and all that I suppose."

LuLu’s colorful wings beat gently as she contemplated their offer. Her eyes flickered between the two prying freis. Both of them had an intent look crossing their face. It seemed like she wouldn’t be getting away from the water. They would get her wet one way or another. LuLu’s wings gave a sudden burst of activity as she made up her mind. The breeze it produces caused her pigtail to sway slowly behind her.
So long as she stood no chance of drowning, she did not mind the water. LuLu gave a quick nod, “Yes, I will play with water.” The rabbit frei watched as Varun left them briefly to consult with his guardian. When he returned, LuLu craned her head upwards to see what he had brought back with him. Her ears perked up along with the motion of her head. “What is it?” She watched as one of the peculiar plastic devices was given to Domo’lo. Its twin counterpart rested in Varun’s pale hand. Her lips upturned into a polite smile. “Yes, we share,” LuLu brushed her fingers against the toy, “How does it work?”
Josh was dunked feet first into the water again. The familiar sting of chlorine surged into his nose, eyes, and mouth. The boy resurfaced when Yuurei released her grip on him. He took a moment to sooth away the burning until it reached a dull tingle. Josh looked at Yuurei with his reddened eyes and gave her a smirk, “Hey, the lifeguard is glaring at you not me.” As he said, the lifeguard had turned his attention from Josh’s splashing towards Yuurei’s attempted drowning. The man sat on his perch like a sort of pool dictator. His face easily displayed his agitation. It looked like they would both have to be good now. Josh also shot at her tersely, “Told ya it was nice.”

A smirk caught her lips at the saying, remembering how it had been used around her house when she was little. Although it wasn't used as kindly as in was being used now. At the mention of the Raevan called Rivener, she couldn't help but to laugh at her earlier attempt to draw him. "I do believe I saw him flirting with a cat-eared Raevan." She kept her eyes from wandering to the said Raevans balanced them on the waves of the pool. The pool party! She had taken up so much of the host's time.
Ash began to stand up, stretching in the process. "It has been a pleasure to meet you, thank you for letting me attend to you party and use your sunscreen," she shifted awkwardly, "But I must let you see to your guest. I hope you can tell me more about Raevans sometime. See you around the pool." And with a wink she started to make her way to the food table, another bottle of water in mind.

She watched the girl physically detach herself from the conversation, "It's no problem really. I've got nothing better to do all day." It was true. Even though she was hosting this thing, it wasn't something so formal as she had to go meet and greet every single person. It would be nice, but the main point was for everyone to have a good time. "Have fun."
Ebony rolled onto her stomach and positioned herself to watch all the people splashing around, her feet dangling daintily above her slender form. She rested her purple head atop her folded arms as she contemplated getting in the pool herself. "Maybe in a bit..." She muttered out loud.

Aphismet smiled at Rown's questions, always glad to meet someone who seemed interested in Raevans. Although really, who wouldn't be intrigued by these half-floating bodies that held such big personalities? "Yeah, Rivener's older. He used to be only up to his chest like the others, but one day he just... grew. Man was he ever smug." Aphi chuckled.
"Oh!" the chef suddenly sounded out softly, eyes popping wide. "Oh, will you excuse me please? I have to go make a call." With a pleasant smile and a nod of his head, Aphismet headed to his chair again. He'd nearly forgotten to call and tell Isi that he got here safely! Isikoro would have a heart attack if Aphi didn't make that call soon. Too bad Isi's not the type to enjoy a pool... Maybe he will be convinced to drop by later?
Picking up the cell phone from his beach bag, Aphismet sat and dialed home.
Rivener grinned at Lucia's displays slightly, trying not to. Trying his BEST not to! Being alluring just came naturally to her, and Rivener was a natural flirt... Guh, Riv REALLY hoped Zul wouldn't show up. He glanced around again, half-paranoid.
"Hunh? Oh, uh... Sure, I'll introduce you. C'mon. Although, ah..." Riv lifted an eyebrow as Varun suddenly brought forward a pair of water guns. "Maaaaybe now isn't such a good time for you to go over there. You don't like guns as I recall, and you don't like water... well those toys there combine the two. So maybe it'd be best to NOT introduce yourself just yet. Up to you, though! Did you still want to go meet them?" The Scorpion turned his gaze to the kitten, waiting for her decision. While Rivener himself wasn't keen on getting caught in the middle of a water-war, he was pretty sure he could discourage the younger Raevans from wanting to spray him.

Yuurei grinned at Josh, but did glance up at the stern-looking lifeguard. She rolled her eyes and sighed at his appearance. Not that his muscles were bad, but no man ever looked good in a speedo. Shaking her head, Yuurei placed her hands on the side of the pool and pushed herself up, the water falling off of her into the pool and onto the side where she turned quickly and placed her butt, looking down at Josh. ”And I didn’t plan on getting my hair wet!” she said while laughing. ”So what have you been up to?” She kicked her legs slowly in the cool water, and leaned back on her hands as she let the sun begin to dry her off.
Lucia glanced over at the water gun fight that seemed imminent and pouted slightly. ”Yeah . . . can we stay away from that?” she asked, suddenly wanting to completely avoid that area of the pool. ”You’re right. Water...sucks. And if it’s like those other guns -- the paint ball ones -- then it hurts and gets you all messy.” She made a face and shook her head. Turning away from the water fight, she looked at the other side of the pool, as far from them and their water bullets as possible. The DJ as far from the water as possible, on the otherside of the pool from the other raevans. ”We should go over there,” the kitten said, pointing. ”Do you like to dance?” she asked with a sexy grin.
