Walking up to the Grady vardo, Lee stepped into the doorway to find the front room empty, but Ellandra's voice could be heard in the bedroom. Figuring they probably wouldn't mind if she came in on her own, the girl walked to the back room, peeking through the door to find Ellandra, Ziazan and Faolan chatting. "Rhian said you needed to talk to me?"

Lauss let Rhian lead the way, though cocked his head as she gave a peculiar gesture to Lee. "I don't think Miss Lee can see you. She's not facing this way..." Oh well. Whatever she was trying to say to her could be said later. They had some exploring to do. "Rhi, are we going to see the booths? Or the rides? I believe there is a stage as well; we could see that, too."

Ellandra smiled welcomingly at Lee, though she took hold of Faolan's hand, a tiny bit of posessiveness still running through her even now. "Hello, Lee. . . and Faolan, they're not that bad," she said, raising an eyebrow at her husband's statement. Really . . . the two were young, barely adjusted to their new forms, they were doing fairly well, all things considered.

Rhian giggled at Lauss. "Silly Lauss-teacher, Miss Lee wasn't supposed to see that - and we can look at all of them! But which first?" She was letting him decide - after all, she'd been around Farstep much more than he had, even if it was only by playing plushie. Smiling to herself, she kissed him again - even deeper than the first kiss. "And we need to practice, too!"

"Well, there's tha', aye, but also tha' they like each other a goodly deal an' Rhian's picked up more'n a few o' my romancin' techniques it seems," Faolan chuckled. "Also, they told you I'll be takin' your lad t' th' seamstresses, yeah?"

Zia shuffled a bit, then looked at Ellandra and tugged on her sleeve. "Mama? Can I ask you something?"

Lee tugged on her shirt nervously as Ellandra spoke up, especially when Faolan's "techniques" were mentioned. Not at all sure how to respond, she assumed they could settle the topic on their own. Besides, she'd already told Rhian not to kiss in public; there was nothing to worry about. She did manage to speak up about the seamstress, though. "Yeah, he told me. He wants me to draw something for him to show them." That reminded her... "What should I do about a bed for Lauss?"

Ah, he'd definitely chosen wisely. "I could teach you to dance if you don't know how. Miss Ellandra taught me." He hadn't yet danced with feet, but hopefully that wouldn't be a problem. He'd paid enough attention to how Ellandra's feet were moving at the time that he could likely make a decent attempt.

Ellandra pinched Faolan's arm lightly. "Oh, hush, silly; you worry too much. What are you going to be like once the twins are born, hmm?" Her eyes twinkled as she spoke, however. After a moment, she put both hands on Ziazan's shoulders and regarded it seriously. "I can't say for certain, Ziazan, but if you mean in terms of having a gender, then most likely. Would that bother you, sweetheart?" She asked gently.

"In other matters, well, Crux will look like Crux. Lauss has a different personality, different interests, a different purpose. . . Crux will always be Crux - and somehow I don't think you need to fear a lack of caring, either." She hugged the small alter to her, stroking its hair gently. "Don't worry, sweetheart. It will work out well, I'm sure."

Rhian siled at Lauss and took his hand, blushing faintly and beaming at him. "I'd like that very much, Lauss-teacher. But if there's an act going on we can't go up there, okay?" Suddenly she very much hoped there wasn't anything happening on the stage right now. She would like to get to dance with Lauss.

"Nae, lass," Faolan laughed. "I prolly got one stashed away still in th' ol' vardo, an' if'n there ain't one, then you can ask around the camps. Someone's bound t' have a spare they'll give you or trade you fae."

Zia nodded, still looking unsure. "He's like Lauss or Elst. He knows what the emotion is, he doesn't understand it. I want to be as I am, but I don't want to be looked down on by the others because of my choice." He looked up at Ellandra. "Especially not by him."

Tugging at her hair, Lee sighed a bit of relief. "Should I go check now? Or was there something else?" She wondered to herself, if there wasn't a hammock still hidden away in the vardo, if perhaps Rory had one. Worth asking, right? Of course, she'd only be visiting for the hammock and nothing else.

"What sort of emotion would cause that?" He didn't know why Lee did it, and he saw her blush all the time. After a short while, Lauss stopped walking and tilted his head before admitting, "Rhi... I don't know where I'm going..."

Ellandra smiled at Faolan and Ziazan even as she filed away the reference to this "Rory" in the back of her mind. Hm, perhaps she'd have more to talk to Lee about than what her husband had mentioned. . . kissing Ziazan's forehead again, she whispered to him a soft, "It will work out all right, you'll see," to the small alter, before letting it go off with Faolan and turning to Lee. "So, Lee, the little ones grew up while Rhian visited. . . . do you know how it happened?" She was admittedly curious, having never actually gotten to witness a proto's growth into alter before. She'd hoped she would have gotten to see Rhian grow, but that hadn't worked out.

Rhian tilted her head. "Lots of emotons, actually, you can't tell by the coloring alone, I don't think," she said, happily walking with Lauss through the carnival. When Lauss stopped and admitted to not knowing where they were heading, she smiled at him and tugged him on. "That's okay, I do!" she shirped, and within a few minutes more of walking they had reached the performance stage.
