Memphis nodded. "Sure, I've never been there before. I think it's on the beach so it shouldn't be too hard to get to." Memphis kept on swimming for shore, but she made sure not to go too fast or she might lost Cadassi.

Cadassi was following her at his own pace. Which was about as fast a turtle with lead weights on his feet. But it wasn't on purpose. The new 'swimming' thing was just hard to do really fast. Plus, everytime he tried to talk, he kept tripping over his own arms and legs.
So he kept his steady pace behind, grateful that she wasn't frustrated by his lack of skills or speed.
"It's a nice place to eat and hang out. The food is pretty good too. I hear the fish is excellent" he teased, giving a chuckle at his own corny joke about both their fins.

Memphis giggled at that. She did like fish, as she was a Naiad. Though, she ate a lot of kelp and sea plants too. "Okay, then it sounds nice, sug." She finally saw the shore coming close. She didn't swim too fast as she didn't want to leave the demon by himself.

Cadassi appreciated her thoughtfulness. More than he could say outloud. He felt like a baby who just learned to crawl. He sent her a happy grin hoping she understood how much her kindness meant to him.
He was even more grateful when they reached the shore line. What amazed him the most though is how easily his gills settled back down against his skin when he exited the water and no long needed them.
Deciding to explore this new body function later, he offered Memphis his arm. "Shall we?" he asked, beaming her another friendly grin.

Memphis walked out of the water and her fin became a pair of blue legs. To her they looked like blue tights that humans wore. Sometimes in this form she wished she had on a skirt as it almost felt revealing even thought most pae were naked by definition.
Memphis took Cadassi's arm and smile. "Okay, sure." She looked up and noticed the clouds in the sky. "I looks like bad weather is coming."
((if you wanted to end this I thought having the Monsoon show up might be a good ending.))

CAdassi nodded, his eyes turning toward the dark, storm laden skies with worry.
"You might be right. Maybe we should pospone the dinner for another time?" he asked, hoping she'd agree/ He enjoyed her company. And he didn't have many friends.

((We can end this if you want and have them meet up again after the storm and everything. She'll be an adult too.))
Memphis nodded. "Sure thing. I'd love to see ya again sug." She winked at Cadassi with a smile. "Once this all blows over. You can always fine me in the ocean or on the rocks." Maybe by then she'd be an adult and not so young...not that she thought about it at the moment.
