Pranc tries again and again to shoot the rabbit and fails. ...I'm not even getting any closer. I don't want to be useless.. Pranc walks back over to Mena. Here is the bow, there aren't any arrows left, I'll go get them, I'm sorry. Pranc walks away to scavenge the arrows and begins to cry in frustration.

Mena takes the bow and nods silently. poor kid, should have showed him instead of being a smart a**. She stands and begins to survey the forest, while waiting for Pranc to return. Ill be nice and show him how its done.

Pranc wanders about picking up rocks and putting them in his pouch and pockets. Eventually, Pranc returns with about 60% of the total arrows. I could only find this many. What do you want to do next Miss? I'm sorry to make you wait so long.

Mena smiles at Pranc Ok, what we want to do is hide behind a tree or foliage, that tree over there is good. Mena points to a large tree a few feet away. We wait til we see an animal, then we shoot it from there. She leads Pranc over to the tree and they wait.

Ok. Mena grabs a hunk of bread, breaks it in half and hands it to Pranc. As she eats she begins to lead them east again. We will just play it by ear for now, just wander about til we find fun, trouble or both She looks back and grins at Pranc.

Patronizing me. I'm not hungry right now, I'll eat later, thank you. No point in making her babysit me. I dont know why she even agreed to talk all this responsibility. Thank you for your help Mena. I'm sorry I was annoying.

Kaaay. Pranc eats the bread. I probably shouldn't ask her why she is doing this. If she actually thinks it through she'd probably change her mind. Pranc yanks the bowstrap off Mena. I'm going to go do something, you can make a fire somewhere near here. Its still light out so I can see the smoke, but I dont really need to tell you that huh.

Mena gives Pranc a surprised look Very well, break my bow and I will use one of your bones as a replacement. She leans forward very closely to Pranc, gives him an evil grin Got it?

You may use the bone best fortified with calcium for your replacement Miss Mena. Pranc walks off off the path into a forest. He looks around for a branch and hits it against a tree until marks are made. Guess that is the target. Pranc uses the marks on the tree as a target for his arrows at 50 yards. Try as he might he just couldn't hit the marks. After 90 minutes he gets exhausted simply by having to retrieve the arrows. I can't return without even hitting the tree, I mean its right in front of me...

Mena starts a fire, then gathers branches to make into new arrows. We should head Southeast, head to Hillsdale, can buy him a sword or something, maybe a dagger. She begins carving the branches into shafts.
He should learn how to do this as well, making arrows is a pain.
After the shafts and nooks were made she pulled some flint rocks out of her satchel and began to shape them into arrow heads. Striking the rocks turning her face as she struck to not get flakes into her eyes.
Yes, he will learn how to help me make these.

Someone spots the smoke from the fire and closes in, hiding behind a tree to get a good luck at what the campsite entails. He spots Mena sitting alone and laughs to himself.
Free stuff is free stuff, even if it is taking it from a woman. Mane picks up a rock and launches it high in the air so it lands on the opposite side of Mena. Mane lowers himself into a quadrupedal stance. Guess being a mutant has its perks.. He bears his claws and waits.
Meanwhile, Pranc is resting against a tree, exhausted but still tricking himself into thinking his training is productive. Ok, out of the probably 200 arrows, I managed to scratch the tree once, and that can still easily be called a fluke. Pranc stands up weakly and continues trying.

Mena stands up and laughs Give me a break Pranc, your going to have to try harder than that to scare me.

Mane keeps his body low and still, watching for Mena to lower her guard. So she isn't alone huh? It really isn't ever that easy. If she lowers her guard I'll get her, if not I'll wait until they are are all asleep.
