Pride grumbed a bit in disbelief. "I resent that, when, in our past together, have i ever judged a book by its cover?" Pride said in a rather childish manner. He pouted a bit, letting a bit of human emotion seep through his face as he turned his back to Satine.

"Feh, you're too soft," Pride said in a stern voice, "May i remind you who you work for?" Pride turned his back towards Satine as he began to leave. "Hurry up and do whatever it is you desire with that... human...," Pride said in a low tone, "He's calling us."

Pride glided across the ground to the darkest corner of the alley. "Where's that bloody door?" Pride thought in annoyance. Feeling the brick walls around him, Pride searched frantically for a sign. "Ngh... I hate it when they hide things from me," Pride grumbled. Pride let his hand slip from the cold, still wall as he backed up slightly. His eyes widened with a fiery red colour shimmering through them. "Pride... a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to acknowledge the good work of others, and excessive love of self (especially holding self out of proper position toward God). Dante's definition was "love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one's neighbor." Pride thought to himself. Suddenly a bat flew from the sky and landed sideways on the brick wall. It slowly melted into the wall and enlarged itself creating a large black hole. This revealed the underworld staircase as Pride entered slowly. "Shall we?" Pride said with a creepy grin.

The two decended down the staircase towards the underworld. Spirits floated aimlessly around them, screaming in a language that no mere being could understand. "Out of my way, wretched ghost!" Pride said angerily as he swiped his fist through the gasly figures. Continuously the spirits seemed to want help. Pride quickly moved through the fog of ghosts as he neared the end of the staircase. "Bah! As if begging is going to get them back to Earthrealm," Pride spat, "These spirits are doomed to stay in between this world and the next, for their sins. Light punishment i'll say."

"Ah... but the temptation...," Pride responded, "The temptation to do such a thing against the other's will is a sin. And about the woman, i just felt like terrorizing her." Pride laughed maniacally. They continued through the doors and stroded towards a fiery pit. A man or demon seemed to be standing at the edge of a cliff from where the portal that Pride and Satine entered from. Pride walked a little ways closer to the demon and bowed his head deeply. "Master... what do you request of us?" Pride said humbly.
