Nienna looked down at herself, all clean and bright again, and then back at the boy. "Thank you. You are the handy one to have around...would you perchance be interested in offering your services to a goddess?" She smiled as sweetly as possible. That one would be a good ally to have...

"Uhhh," Maguire stammered. She was reminding him of the time Nessa smiled at him before trying to turn him into a toad. "See you later, Glitch." Maguire took off running.
Glitch shrugged at Nienna. "Maguire is kind of scared of girls."

Glitch shook his head. "Nah. We're not supposed to be afraid of girls. We're supposed to protect them, keep them from crying. And, according to my dad, save them when they get too stupid to save themselves."

So my dad swings in and kicks some guard ahhh ---" Glitch remembered what his mom told him about being a gentleman " --- butt and saves Mom. Who was stupid for letting herself get trapped like that. I'm sure you'd never fall into a trap, though," Glitch said.
