Presented in old-school Societas Romu style:
Weston looks around his confinement with some confidence. It would be easier if there were any light in the closet, but he knows most of the Church by touch alone. Except the location of the kitchen; it keeps moving somehow.
As he finds the hidden trapdoor in the floor, he remembers something Kiji had mentioned in passing about one of the closets. Something to do with strange noises. Maybe someone else had discovered and used the hidden passages? But that was unlikely. He shrugs it off.
With a final cry of, Oh noes, whatever shall I do?!, he descends into the inky darkness of the Church's sub-basement.

Moryera, startled, takes her ear away from the closet door and scurries back to the rest of the group.
M-miss Ashes, I'm not quite sure what you did to keep that door closed, but you had better undo it quick, because I think Mr. West is in trouble. He must have run into that savage beast! I heard a big creak, and a whoosh, and something that sounded a lot like "Oh noes!" and then a really big THUD. ...or was it a CLONK?
She wanders over and puts her ear back up to the door.
No...no, that was definitely a THUD. We ought to help him.

Ruby walks forward, setting a standard pace as two othes hop down behind her.
It's been a long run girls. We have faced it all, been tried to the extent of our beings. And now, were almost there. And when we do get there... Were going to Kill Bill. Wait.... I mean find west. Yeah, thats it.

What the...? Weston's eyes go wide as the tunnel around him begins to brighten. A glance behind reveals that the source of the illumination is not directly behind him, but can't be any further than two turns of the tunnel. He hurries to his destination, another trapdoor leading up, and ascends into a closet adjoining the "re-education" chamber. This time, however, he makes sure that the door is firmly shut behind him, and shifts some of the closet's contents over it. Re-examining said contents, he slips one of the whips under his robes and exits.
