My family listens to them with me.
Except for my Grandma (she does occasionally.) and my sister (she can tolerate them. Usually she listens to what my mom does)
My dad bought tickets for me and my best friend to go to their concert in Orlando.

My mother hates the band...and I don't think my father knows that I listen to them (No, Dad...I wear these System of a Down hoodies for my health stare )
But, my mom hates them, because
1. They're Armenian (Don't ask gonk )
2. She dosen't agree with their political views.
3. They have the American flag upside-down on their CDs and such. (She calls this "unpatriotic" )
But, my mom has no room to talk with 'bad tastes' Her boyfriend is 40 years old and lives with his mother gonk She has no room to dictate my musical preferences.
And my dad, meh, he never says anything to me about System. I don't think he likes them because of their political views but, meh, whatever. And, I don't live with him, so he dosen't know much about my tastes...
And my sister, if I were to give her one of my CDs, she'd ask for Mezmerize and play 'BYOB' until I'd want to break one of my System CDs and slit my wrist with it. gonk
So, yeah, that is my family when it comes to System.

Is she 1.) an Ottoman Turk in anyway? 2.) unable to have a mind to open or close? 3.) uber American? It's nice to have honor for your country, but when it gets to the point where you're xenophobic (Which is stupid because everyone in American is an immigrant, and if the Native Americans truly did come from Asia, then they're immigrants, too.) about everything, and just because a little symbol that represents the label is an upside-down American flag, you don't have to hate it. Maybe you can think, "Hm. That's a tad bit unpatriotic, but maybe that's their opinion." but she isn't. Sorry. Rant.

Like a f00king stubborn mule. well as long as you like them it's coo with me but answering the thread my parent LOVE soad. when we got hypnotize in the mail we listened to it while amkin food and stuff then we watched the dvd as a family.. it was pretty weird but cool at the same time

What's the deal with that? Only because they're asian? Talk about racism; not all asians are like that. I guess terrorism is more of a religious matter, and I don't even think it's System's thing. (Both terrorism and religions. X.x) Aren't Armenians christian, anyway? Though I may be wrong, I've only just read that somewhere, once.

I just found out my cousin, Eileen, is a huge fan of System!

She has seen them like, three times in concert!
She told me that she went to the HFS festival...and she was right in front of Daron when he pulled his pants down! xD
And, I thought it was hilarious when she referred to Daron as 'The little guy' xD
But, yeah, she was right in front of Daron, in front of the stage. That lucky person. whee

Though I may be wrong, I've only just read that somewhere, once. i totally know what you mean. i am armenian and we went to chicago for my borther robert's graduation from the navy seals, and they stoped my brother alfie both goin to and form in the airport because he looked "suspicious" and now the poor dear shaves every other day or so .... i hate it it makes me mad!!!!!!!! but some armenians are jewish and some are muslim ans zoroastrians my mom is jewish and my dad is catholic though. armenia was the first christian country. that's also where noah's ark landed.. it's in the old testement lol

Everyone in my family listens to some type of rock. They all like SOAD
Especcilly my Uncles
Uncle1: is mainly into Pantera and Megadeath and other Metal bands but likes SOAD too
Uncle2: Listens to every form of Rock Imaginable so yea He likes them too
and as Mr. Kennedy said They are Hot and I say this as a Man also.
