"I'm not sure..." The Private, now in a set of stormtrooper armor that was dripping water from every orifice replied. The device looked like nothing more than a roughly rectangular piece of metal. "It was magnetically attached, but I don't see any surface or buttons. It's definitely electronic, but I can't tell anything more..."
Ranlee stepped into the corridor and stopped as she saw the box. "Sith, sith, sith, sith..." She leveled her rifle, "We have to blast that thing..."

Standing outside the hyperdrive chamber, the Engineer reached for hic comlink, helm in hand."Aye, we-" A hydrospanner struck the Engineer on the head, the wrench dropping from the catwalk above. "Sorry, boss!" A man above him called. Angrily the Engineer picked the spanner up and hurtled it at the man. "Whatch what you're doin' ya daft b*****d!" He shouted angrily. Blinking confusedly at his extremely thin accent the anger drained from Hal's face as he rubbed the bump on his skull, a perplexed expression adorining his features. "Sorry 'bout that, bridge. Aye, we kin jump new, afar 4 parsecs. Then we need ta kewl the drive af agin."

"Four Parsecs eh? Helm, set course for the Ghost Nebula. We should be able to hide there." Captain Pala glanced at the tactical display one last time as the enemy fleet closed, "Transmit the coordinates to the Corvettes. We jump in five."
"Five, four, three, two, one, engaging hyperdrive..." The stars turned to lines and the blue tunnel embraced them once again.

" You blast it and we lose any clues we might find on it as to who put it here. Not to mention, it might be packed with explosives and blow up in our faces. " Diana said. " We need to take this thing apart and see what all it can tell us, after we disable it. "
After a brief moment, she noticed Ranlee seemed quick to recognize it. " You knew what this was the instant you saw it. Do you understand how it works? "

The water in the drive rapidly evaporated as the engines hurtled the ship into the blue void. DC crews frantically started pumping more water into the drive. Beneath his feet, Hal felt the ship vibrate and jostle about, the jump rougher than normal. "Hold ta'gethar, lass." He muttered under his breath.

"It's an Ubiqtorate Issue Tracking device. I'm a spacetrooper we see these things." Ranlee kept the blaster on the device, "It's designed to transmitt our location and heading once we jump out of hyperspace. It's magnetically sealed and has a barium detonator inside designed to go off the moment you undo the seal. The charge is designed to disintegrate the box and everything inside but do no damage outside of that."
Slowly she lowered her rifle. "There's no way of disabling it without destroying any clues on it, and we got to disable it before we drop out of hyperspace. I say lets chuck it out the hangar bay before we drop out."

" Well, you're the expert on this thing here. Alright, let's ditch this thing ASAP. " Diana said. She then activated her comm. " Lieutenant LeClaide to bridge. We've found the transmitter and are disposing of it now. "

Captain Pala sighed, relieved. "Can you identify the type of transmitter? It could tell us the caliber of whoever put it in place."

" Sgt. Vaske identified it as an Ubiqtorate Issue Tracking device, Captain. " Diana said. " I'm guessing that's part of the ISB, right? "

After 16 minutes of idling in space, keeping an eye on things, Mynock Squadron was back in hyperspace, practically slaved to the Resolve as they headed for the Ghost Nebula.
And until they got there, radio was out, so now was as good a time as any to nap. Making sure the systems were norm, Xaver exhaled, closed his eyes, and waited for the ship to pop back into realspace.

"Ubiqtorate? Sith, they're not ISB, in fact they make the ISB seem like a bunch of amateurs. Ubiqtorate is the elite of the Empire's eyes and ears, they're the command section of Imperial Intelligence. This is bad." Captain Pala rubbed her eyes for a moment. "But at this point that's par for the course. Get rid of that thing."

"Roger that bridge." Ranlee stepped forward and took the metal box from the private and set off at a dead run to the turbolifts. She slapped the control panel as she entered one of the lifts. "Forward hangar bay." The lift shot off at top speed and stopped a moment later. Glancing at the chrono built into her hud she picked up speed. She didn't know how long the jump would be but it'd be better to error on the safe side.
"Clear and seal the forward hangar!" She yelled into the local comm system as she quickly checked her suit's seals. She visually scanned the deck to make sure it was clear, and then she threw a switch. Instantly the mag shield that contained the local atmosphere snapped off and Ranlee grabbed hold of the side of a bulkhead with one hand as she heaved the box with the other. The metal box flew through the air, carried on by the air rushing out of the bay and disappeared out the cavernous opening of the hangar bay. As it cleared the mag shield she flicked the switch back on and watched it slowly tumble off in the blue tunnel of hyperspace.
"It's off the boat!"

Captain Pala nodded as she heard the voice. "Good. Knowing our luck we've got an adjustment agent aboard." She glanced at the helm, "How long till reversion to real space?"
"Ten minutes more Captain."

" Alright, the immediate threat's dealt with, but we still have to find out who planted that thing. Until we get some kinda lead, the Amazons will be finishing needed repairs on their gear then return to their normal duties. " Diana said, heading out towards the armory where her platoon's gear was being fixed in.
After making her way to it, she saw that most of everything was fixed, including her own armor. " Another 5 or 10 minutes and we'll have everything back in working condition. " one of the troopers said. " Good. I'll be in my quarters until then if anyone needs me. " Diana said, changing out of the half-repaired armor she changed into before the attack and into her normal one, then heading back out for her personal quarters.
Once in her own room, she changed out of her normal armor and into the bikini armor she was wearing before the recent attack. Setting the normal suit in its locker, she sat down at the table and started taking her heavy repeater apart to clean it and make sure it was in pristine condition.

((I'll be away from the computer for most of the next day... so it's time to end the Chapter.))
The Resolve dropped out of hyperspace on the edge of the Umbara System, within moments it was enveloped in a cloud of nebulous gas. The ship's shields shut down and its sensor array powered down, and in this settings the ship disappeared from all sensors and would remain invisible within the gas cloud.
"All stations, stand down, set condition green. Tell Mynock Squadron to return to base." Captain Pala turned and headed toward the ready room at the end of the bridge. "I'll be putting together a duty roster, send me a list of who all is still duty ready. We're gonna need to retrain a lot of people to stay battle ready."

By the time the Resolve exited hyperspace, Diana had just finished putting her heavy repeater back together, then started polishing it for a last touch to restore its luster. She then holstered it and headed out to pace around the halls by herself for a while.
She looked around as she made her rounds, seeing everyone cleaning up the last bits of the mess they just got out of. She then pulled out the datapad she didn't get to finish looking over earlier and continued where she left off, keeping an eye out for anything needing her attention just in case more trouble started.
