I'm sure the electronics technicians can whip you up something strong enough to kill most men. Traditionally the Electronics Technicians were issued pure grade alcohol to use cleaning wiring and stuff, but it inevitably ended up mixed with tang and orange juice... Strong stuff.

Don't presume to think you know more about back-room booze than me, Stellar. I know what the ******** I'm talking about.

Anyway... some rules.
No-autohits: If I see a player autohit an opponent npc that player is obviously suffering from target fixation and will get hit by whatever friends the npc had. The same holds true for starfighter engagements, you'll get kills but not nearly as many as you got in Emerald Squadron RP. You make an attack and wait and see if it hits, you don't get a kill in every dogfight after all.
OPFOR: All posts from the enemy perspective will be in dark red. There will be a number of repeatedly appearing opponents among the OPFOR, so don't get mad if I hyperspace a ship out of the fight once it's hull starts to buckle. I'm considering whipping up some Profiles for the OPFOR personnel so that you'll know the sort you're facing.

ISD-1, right? Standard compliment of equipment?

Maybe a Star Destroyer is too much ship to have a story around. Its too big and expensive to maintain without a steady source of supplies and equipment. Maybe we can be the crew of a holdover Venator.
Or, to change things up, play an ISD Crew during the Imperial retreat to Bastion. We're left behind and we have to fight our way through New Republic Forces in a manner somewhat similar to SDF Macross or the Ten Thousand Greeks.

I prefer Stellar's original story, personally. Plus, an ISD isn't all that big. Only a few square miles of space, plus the space around it when we're in battle.
Compared to the other idea, this is WAY smaller, of an exponetial proportion.

Its too big and expensive to maintain without a steady source of supplies and equipment. but that’s what give this whole rp idea an nice Serenity feel, think how hard pressed we’d be trying to keep the damn thing flying. Always in need of parts, fuel and food. I think we should keep the impstar.

No I think an ISD is a better choice for this sort of RP. A Venator has got pretty high maintenance requirements due to the lack of standardization in the design, there are three type of engines equipped for instance compared to two types on an ISD, the complex hangar door mechanisms and older equipment in general would also cause problems.
If you're talking about a fighter compliment, there's over 400 starfighters on a Venator, each of which would require maintenance compared to 77 starfighters on an ISD (72 TIEs and 5 Xg-1s), plus the Imperial-class is designed with lessons from the clone wars in mind, of which I'd think easier maintenance would be quite high on the list. Looking at the difference in crew compliment I wonder if part of the reason the ISD has so many crew is an overabundance of backup systems to monitor. The two ships have similar armament and combat systems but the Venator only has a crew of 7,000 about 1/5th the number on an ISD. I'd guess this means that even down to 13k we could still fully man the primary systems, but we'd have to shut down the backups.

What about the other idea? Where we have to fight our way out of the deep core to get to Bastion and our allies?
