I've been interested in photography for about five years. I wouldn't call myself a pro, as I still have alot to learn, but I'm an eager student.

I'm 26 years old and live in Oklahoma and I have been interested in Photography since the end of 2008.
I've recently gotten into taking portraits so I'm hoping to find some help with that here, as well as meeting some new friends who share the same sort of passion I do for Photography.

hiya happy people,
i'm corie and i'm a junior in high school.
i've been studying others work and taking pictures seriously ever since i was fourteen, but i've been snapping a photo ever since i was five.
i'm not completely sure what level i'd be at. i keep calling myself a wanna be photographer because quite honestly, i'm not exactly pro yet, but i will one day. i plan to go to an art school and study photography and everything. i want to be the next Annie Lebovitz heart
& i joined this guild so i can better myself and give out advice to those who are just starting. don't you know how good it feels to actually give photography advice about something? whee

If this is a dream, the whole world is inside it. Yo! My name is Mia and I live in Boston. I've been seriously interested in photography ever since I was 13. Now that I'm in college, I've decided I want to pursue animation as a career, but that hasn't stopped me from taking pictures with digital or film cameras whenever I get the chance. Hello, my name is Ashley, and I'm from Texas. I've been interested in photography for several years, but just recently decided to become more ambitious with it. My husband and I are currently working on saving up money so I can go to a local college and take some photography courses which will lead to a certificate in commercial photography, then eventually an Associate's Degree in photography. I anticipate going into Commercial Photography initially, and beyond that... I'm unsure.
I use a Nikon D40 that was purchased for me as a Christmas gift by my parents. Photography is something I'm really excited about and that I love to do... so, naturally, I decided to look for similarly interested people on Gaia, and here I am. :]

hello!
i'm equinoxia, hm, i don't really like talking about myself so much because i never know what to say. wellllll. i'm gonna try smile
i've been taking pictures since about 2002, i started with my mom's digital camera. it was an old crappy very basic pentax, but i loved it a lot because i knew it well. eventually that camera died and someone offered me a kodak digital camera for christmas and i never really likes it much... but now i have a canon powershot SX120 IS and i am enjoying it smile
i love taking pictures of nature and textures, right now i live in montreal, qc, and i love to go to psychedelic parties and sometimes i take pictures when i don't forget my camera at home wink
hm ok that's enough, i can't wait to get to know you people smile

I'm Wolfie,
Born in Texas, and been interested in photography since my 8th grade yearbook teacher first put a camera in my hands.
Its been 2 years since then, and I want to learn so much more.
Now I have a Cannon SXI Rebel, and I plan on capturing anything I can with it, its really been a learn as I go progress with it XD

Mia, it's good to meet you! It's got to be cool having all that older architecture there on the east coast just waiting for you and your camera!
Trinity, it's great to see you've taken such an obstacle and used it to become more artistic smile You must be quite the optimist to still seek the beauty in the world. It's great to have you.
Ashley, you seem very ambitious! Good luck forming a career in photography smile What do you plan to shoot/sell? It seems portraiture/weddings are the biggest markets. Either way, Welcome!
Equinoxia, it's nice to meet you! The SX series Canons are good stuff! Lots of controls for a point and shoot smile next best thing to an SLR! It'll be great to get to know you too!

Wolfy, that's great! Do you shoot mostly portraits now? Rebels are nice cameras! Hope you'll like it here!
