Kirk tensed at Uhura’s bold words to him. Normally, one would think that a Captain’s crew would take his order and obey. No. Not for Jim Kirk. It didn’t always work out that way. Maybe he was doing something wrong? Or he just had too many people that cared about him.
“Uhura…like I said, you’re reading into too much.” He replied coolly. “I…gave Ms Rand the time off, like I’m giving you and the whole rest of the damn bridge.” He shot her a side glance.
She meant well. But Kirk wasn’t in that kind of mood to banter. “Look, I’m fine…I’m not emotionally compromised on any level. Perhaps I’m just getting annoyed at the lack of..oh, obedience by my crew.” He regretted that after saying it. His mouth seemed to want the most attention rather than his brain right now. “Take your leave now lieutenant. I won’t tell you again.” His fist clenched tightly as his gaze never wavered now from the view screen.

Uhuras voice echoed through Janices head causing her to break out of her dream. she opned her eyes but the bright flash of light blinded her causing her to close them again. She tried opening them again slowly and waited for her eyes to adjust. Her body was still knumb. Janice lied there emotionless. The blank stare on fer face. She didnt feel, anything. Whatever bones gave her; it was good. Hoping it was all a dream, she just laid there looking at the ceiling. and drifted to sleep again

Kirk slumped back in his command chair once the doors to the lift had shut. He was truly alone on the bridge now. Only the humming and beeping of instruments gave him conversation now.
He shut his eyes, cursing his words to Janice and now to Uhura. He hadn’t meant to lash out. It was just, Jim put on the defense mode and it was hard for him to back off from it. He’d have to find some way to make it up to everyone for his behavior. He just wondered if they would report him for his recent behavior.
Jim wouldn’t hold it against them. He was emotionally compromised. “……..” he buried his face with his hands. Despite the fact that no one was on the bridge, he didn’t want the chance of someone to see his emotional state.

With a yawn and a groan Sulu entered the bridge. He had been on a leave for the past couple of days, so it was going to be hard to get back into regular bridge duties. He rubbed his eyes and moved his hair to the side as he sat down onto his chair.
He stared at the control panels for a bit, trying to remember what they all did. He pushed a couple of buttons and nodded as he checked to make sure everything was running smoothly. He swiveled around in his chair and saw that Kirk was the only person on the bridge at the moment. He blinked a couple of times and scratched his head.
"Uh, captain." He started, looking awfully confused. "Where is everyone?"

While in a deep sleep, a beautiful melodic sound filled her head, it was soothing and comforting. She remembered hearing that voice before, but where. Suddenly the darkness flashed to spock and then uhura, She then remembered. It was uhura. Janice slowly opened her eyes and turned her head with all her strength in the direction where her angelic voice was coming from. She wanted to smile but her eyelids only became heavier and she closed them again.
