Cassandra could already feel the adrenaline rush coming, and it was a good feeling... sort of. She checked her rifle one more time, mostly out of nervousness, then took off running after Rose. She had little magical capability, and little mundane capability. She was good at seeing things, and that was mostly it. Hopefully that would be useful here. Before she exited the room, she made a hasty decision. "You, uh, Ty, right?" she called. "C'mon, let's stick together!"

A woman needs a man to protect her! Ty's ears perked as much as human ears can at her words. As he stood and ran after her, though, he also thought, ... but she said her strength was her ability to see, and my strength is close combat. Those don't complement one another. There was a moment's indecision as the possibility of a non-aesthetically-pleasing pairing fought with the original argument.
A woman is in dire need of a man to protect her! Damsels in distress! Dragon-slaying! Victory and triumph!
"Sounds good," he answered her. Decision made, he made his way after her to a drop pod, clipping the bracer-claws to his belt as he ran, those on his feet clanging loudly against the metal grates.

Isaac, in response to the sudden shifting of the inertia in the ship, had activated strong magnets that he had installed in his feet, and by crouching had managed to stay in one place. When the group began to move, he nervously joined them. At his waist were the silver swords he had mentioned earlier. He had a few other hidden weapons ready on command. He jogged to the pods, looking frantically for someone to take as a partner. "Anyone want to team up with a Clockie? Anyone? Is there anyone not affected by an REF?" he called, rather shrilly. He was getting nervous that he would have to go alone.

"Join us!" Ty called out. "We're saving lives at the risk of our own!" Although Isaac's abilities would cripple Cassandra, this did not concern Ty. He was intent on having an adventure, and really hadn't considered what having Isaac in the party might do. "What's your name? Ty," he said by way of introduction.

"Uhm, I'm Isaac..." he said, rather put out that the man he had spoken to less than half an hour before forgot him already. "Nice to meet you, Ty." He slowly worked his way through the crowd until he was running alongside the two. "And who would you be?" he asked of Cassandra.

"Nice to meet you, too, Isaac!" Ty responded, his face glowing as his excitement built. They veered off into a drop pod as Cassandra began to protest that her only magical advantage would be cut off by Isaac's mere presence. Ty readied himself and positioned his gun, not quite sure how this was going to work, but ready to make use of his pathetic aim as soon as possible. He shot a grin at Isaac. "Ready for this?"

"I...I guess." Just as Ty would have begun to wonder how he could be ready without a gun in hand, Isaac's wrist slid open to reveal the large muzzle of a steam-powered lead slug thrower that locked into place over his hand. A second emerged from the other hand. "Don't worry," he said nervously to Cassandra. "I've got my REF turned off for you. When we drop into the ship, I'll move away and switch it back - " he was cut off as a whoomph sounded and they were ejected from the ship. Their drop pod accelerated painfully, and Isaac gritted his teeth and focused grimly downwards.

"Eh, I couldn't shoot anything anywa-" she started, and the drop pod detonated downward. Cassandra gripped the rifle in her hands, and at the oddest moment determined she had neglected to give her name to the Clockwork guy. Well, if she lived, she'd patch that up.
The REF wouldn't be too big a deal for Cassandra; it might cut off her vision, but from what she understood, there wasn't a lot of mana to be seen on Tyrgani - well, Tyrgani anything. It was more of a lack of mana that would clue her in to the big targets. Hopefully she wouldn't call a strike on Isaac.
"Hey, how can I differentiate you from a Shadowman? I don't want to accidentally call you out as an enemy!" she shouted over the noise to Isaac.

"I...I don't know!" he shouted back. "I guess you can just tell. I've never had to find out before!"

With a loud "thunk," the almost-full four-person pod slammed against the hull of the Tyrgani vessel. Inertial reduction enchantments kept the deceleration from being fatal. Moments later, the sound of the pod cutting through the hull came from below.
Cassandra noticed that this pod was very different from the Angelic drop pods; angel pods were designed for a single user and had no stopping mechanism, since an angel could stop the pod alone, and do so easily, using the trademark angelic mana jets from the wings. Evidently, no way to make them human-safe had been found, and a substitute had been chosen.

"Woo!" Ty shouted as they fell, still looking down. This was awesome! He had been on drop zones at theme parks before, but they were nothing compared to this. "You two- oof!" Impact had been made. Whatever thought he had had was lost to the collision as he prepared for the floor to drop out. He grinned at Isaac. "You're too tense. Learn to enjoy life, man. You might not have much of it left!" Still exuberant, he turned his face back to the floor, swishing his hair as he did.

Isaac blinked at Ty twice. Fear seemed to have frozen him. Ty could tell from his face that he was having very serious second thoughts. "Do you...do you think so? I don't want - " Then the pod had finished cutting through the hull, and the floor was about to slide open. Isaac was cut off as he quickly spread his legs and activated his foot magnets in order to stay inside the pod. He stood by to assist Ty or Cassandra should they need it. He also waited for them to spray the floor below them.

"... to die? That's silly." His gaze darkened momentarily. It was only a flash, but it chilled Isaac to the... bone? His voice almost lost its androgyny, dropping until it almost seemed definitely male. "We all die." And then the moment was over, and he was grinning again. He started firing willy-nilly past his feet as he started to fall. Would have been a good idea to hang on to something. Thinking quickly, he snatched at Isaac's foot and fired more slowly, concentrating on keeping the gun under control with just one arm to use it.

Isaac gulped, and would have shivered were it possible for his Clockie physiology. Reaching down, he grabbed Ty by the collar in an iron grip that he was too awkward to realize he had, thus freeing Ty's other hand to fire the gun and hopefully control the recoil.

"I'm flying, Isaac, I'm flying!" Ty said gleefully, fully unaware of what movie he was quoting as he went back to his shooting, making sure to keep one eye on Cassandra to see how she was faring and be ready to reach over to grab her if need be. He didn't expect that allowing her to land on a mine would improve his relationship with her.
