Once the door was pry open with quiet some effort, the trainers and pokemon bounded down at long hall that almost had a breeze to it. It had a slight slop but it was barely noticeable.

As they came up to the door that would let them out of this hell hole, but at said door was a group of grunts, seemingly getting ready to get out of there themselves. When they spotted the trainers, several turned white, one even fainted. Adriel stepped over and grabbed teh closest one, hands wrapped tightly around the grunt's neck. "If you value your life, you maggot, you will open this door right now." He hissed.

He dropped the grunt and watched it go to open the mechanical door for them. As everyone stepped out, they could see at the first that the entrance was disguise as the entrance of a garage for the busses.

But that soon left everyone's mind when a loud cry out of pain rumble on everyone's ears. Looking away, towards the center of the camp, there was such a sight to be seen.

There, trapped under nets, shackles and wounded was a....

Lumin had discovered the Safari ball in his bag, and had been assured by Pastel that it was his (though he wasn't completely convinced that it was true), and had had a “chat” with the Ekans, though he wasn’t sure if he had communicated exactly what he had wanted... As the door opened, he looked to see a majestic Pokemon, one of the three legendary canines. This was one of the most spectacular Pokemon in history.. and yet.. it was chained. He was instantly infuriated. The timid artist stepped forward to face the rockets that were holding the great beast. Pastel stood on his head, bristled like a cat and growling, and the Ekans was none too happy about something, whether it was the Rockets or the treatment of the Raiku, he wasn’t sure.

Pastel was infuriated, so many Pokemon had been mistreated by these humans, and here was a great one. The least that these idiots could do was respect this magnificent one! They needed to be taught a lesson. They needed to PAY!!

Impasto, as he had been named just minutes before, was ready for his revenge. He had been kept in that room for far too long, and now that he was out, these humans were going to be very very sorry. He would fight them fang on fist alongside these new companions until not one could stand. He had paid in that cell, and now he would be repaid by those that had put him there!

Lumin ran forward to try and free the majestic Pokemon, hoping beyond all hope that he could accomplish something along those lines. From his head, a sphere of darkness, a Shadow Ball, flew at the cart of Pokeballs, knocking it over on top of the two who were busy searching through the mess. From his side, a spray of toxic acid flew to cover two Rockets as they struggled with the giant beast. Three down, the Raiku was able to get a paw out of the net to increase the amount of his lightning that escaped the net, electrocuting several grunts that happened to get in the way. He ran up to one of the struggling Rockets, meaning to punch him, but Pastel leaped off his head and into the Grunt’s face, flailing wildly with Furry Cutter.
Lumin was sent flying when a stray bolt hit him in the side. He lay there, panting, and watched as another grunt went down to a Poison Fang to the leg. The Raiku electrocuted five more of the Rockets, sending them flying further than the trainer; all of them landing sprawled on the floor. As the large Electric type freed its head, it glared at the remaining Rockets who immediately fled under a massive barrage of lightning.

Pastel approached the Raiku, “Sir, we ave come togeda unda similah circumstances, and ave all been fortunate enough to escape wit our lives. I umbly request dat yeh spare us. We mean no arm to yeh, as we were prisners same as yerself.” The tiny Eevee did what he thought would pass as a bow, and rushed over to his trainer, quickly followed by Impasto.

The Raiku stared hard at the trio of Pokemon and human before nodding in approval. Yes, this was how the world should be. Pokemon helping humans, and humans helping Pokemon. He would spare these humans as well as the Pokemon that called them friends.

Cab stood stunned. She couldn't believe what Team Rocket was up to this time. How could they believe they had the right to detain a magnificent creature such as this? She suddenly crouched and ducked toward the garage door, trying to stay out of sight as she brought Penners up close to her mouth.

"Until we can get those Rockets out of here, our only hope is to keep them from whatever they're looking for in that bin." She paused to think. "It's a Master Ball..." she whispered. "That's what they want..." She focused back on Penners. "You have to get in that bin and keep them from finding the Master Ball." She then proceeded to describe it a bit, wondering if her rental had ever seen one before. She gave her a quick hug for luck and sent the little rattata on her way.

Penners didn't hesitate as she dodged and weaved among feet and pokemon and dived headlong into the bin. A few balls scattered and tumbled away, she heard one of the Rockets shout to go get the balls and then there was only one trying to search the bin while the first ran about to grab balls.

A hand came close to the little rattata and she bit down. Hard. She heard the scream and then let go so she wouldn't be carried out of the bin when the Rocket jumped back, holding his hand, and yowling in pain. Some of the others tending the nets looked on, laughing. Among them though was a grunt of at least some authority, because when she sent two others to investigate they quickly obeyed

Something tapped Cab's foot. She looked down and a huge grin spread across her face. She bent down and picked up a small, purple and pink ball. When she looked up, she saw there were now nearly hald a dozen Rockets crowded around the bin. She didn't think they were just looking for the Master Ball any more... "Penners..."

"Hey, nitwits! Looking for this?" Cab held the ball high. She smiled as more than twenty pairs of eyes widened and locked onto her. "Then go fetch!" She threw the ball as hard as she could into the nearby trees and heard it rustle through the thick undergrowth. Every Rocket kept their eyes glued on the ball and then ran as one into the trees.

"Penners! C'mon!" Cab ran toward the netted Raikou, wondering how they were ever going to get it free. She skidded to a halt in front of it and her eyes roved over the nets and shackles. "There," she said, pointing to where the electric net ended and the rope began. It was held down with metal spikes with no way of knowing how deep they were. Penners knew though, the rope was what she was after. She set her teeth to the task of freeing the nets while Cab looked for something to unlock the shackles.

She didn't have to look far, whoever had the keys had unknowingly dropped them while running to the trees to find the Master Ball. "Aaaah" Cab jumped back and nearly dropped the keys herself when the angered Raikou struck out toward her. "Nonono, you have it wrong. I'm trying to get you out!" she hurriedly explained. Raikou continued to growl and show his teeth. "Really... the key, it's to get you out..." She stepped forward closely.

Penners moved to another rope, of the fifteen holding Raikou, she'd chewed through three. She didn't know how many she needed to chew through, but trusted Cab to know what she was doing. After so many days of being without a trainer of any kind, Penners was a bit glad the responsibility of deciding what to do was out of her paws. Next! On to the fourth rope. Despite the somewhat frightening electrified netting, the ropes were easy for the sharp teeth to chew through.

With shaking hands, fear at being so close to something so powerful, Cab turned the key in the shackles. When it stuck, Raikou roared. "Nonono, it's just the wrong key, that's all." She began fumbling with the key ring and got the second key ready. The click was a very satisfying sound. Cab gave a huge sigh of relief and Raikou flexed under the bondage.

"Penners, come on, get back," Cab bent down to let the small rattata jump into her waiting arms. Raikou pulled and struggled, two more of the ropes snapped and the shackled fell away. Enough rope had now broke that the netting slid off to one side, leaving Raikou to stand in all his battered glory. "Now go, quickly!" Cab urged the legendary pokemon.

She turned to check on the Rocket's progress just to see that they were all running from the trees now, one grunt in the lead with the Master Ball in hand, toward the quickly escaping Raikou. Cab ducked behind the ball bin and watched silently as they ran. Raikou was now nowhere to be seen, being far too fast for the grunts, but they weren't giving up. Cab watched until even the dust of their mob running was gone.

POKEBALL GO!!
PostPosted: Sun Jun 28, 2009 5:41 pm

Lisa's heart dropped into her stomach, then rocketed into her throat as she heard the cry of anguish coming from the direction of what she figured was the false camp. She walked toward it a bit more, before hearing another sorrowful roar. She began to tear up. "Merlin," she barely managed to squeak over her sorrow at hearing the mysterious roar, "we, we have to help it." She began to walk up the hill, her steps quickening as she began to muster what little strength she had from the week of no food and forced sleep. She tripped on her way up, skidding across the ground, but she wasted no time in rising, picking up her glasses and putting them away. Her eyes burned with horrible feelings of anger and shock as she crested the hill, her bloodied hands clenching into fist.

Merlin was right behind his trainer, not only roused by the mournful roar, but feeling the wave of negative emotions. Pain, he could feel ungodly, excruciating pain emanating from the top of the hill. He flowed across the dark camp site, his eyes and neck gems glowing from the intensity of the emotions he was feeling. No Pokemon, no living thing should EVER have to suffer the pain that I can feel being suffered, was the only thought that went through the Misdreavus' mind, and as he caught up with his trainer, all coherent thought was replaced with rage and fury.

Lisa couldn't believe it. She nearly vomited from the horrible scene she saw. There, bleeding and moaning in the center of the camp, surrounded by tormentors, was a Raikou. She could see the gleam of the blood pouring from its body and the tears in its eyes as it looked at Lisa. She approached the Rockets and the large tiger pokemon, keeping her eyes on the Pokemon itself. Its eyes, they were devoid of all hope, filled only with suffering and pain. This had to stop.

"You rocket scum!" Lisa yelled, tears cascading from her eyes, "What have you done?! Have you no heart?!" She gritted her teeth and recklessly charged the closest rocket. He was, however, much stronger than her, and easily pushed her onto the suffering Raikou, causing both Lisa and the Pokemon to scream in pain.

Merlin saw his trainer charge the Rocket. He felt her rage, that equalled his own. He saw her, despite her weakness, try to save the captured Raikou. And he heard both the legendary Pokemon and the frail girl cry out for help in unison. All at once, Merlin realized, this was what being a trainer was for a human. To protect Pokemon, to care for them as if they were family. And he now realized that he had a duty too, to protect this girl, his new family. His gems gleamed bright yellow, sparking with electricity. Dark gray clouds devoured the clear sky, and a downpour fell onto the area, the sky itself seeming to cry for the fallen Storm God. Merlin, having called forth the rain himself, now unleashed massive strikes of Thunder at the Rockets, who were only just noticing the small pokemon's presence. The Misdreavus angrily chanted, calling astounding crashes of lighting to fall as fast as the rain.

Lisa pushed herself up, feeling the rain on her skinned forehead. She then realized she was near to the captive pokemon. Despite the rope's harsh threads burning her already lacerated hands, Lisa began to try and lift the net from the near lifeless Raikou that lay beneath it. The lightning flashes periodically blinded her, and she felt as if her strength could give out at any moment, but still, she struggled on, reminding herself how hard Merlin was now working to distract the Rockets.

Lisa suddenly felt her entire body jolt. The Raikou had mustered the strength to release an electric shock, but the net absorbed it and transferred a good deal of voltage to Lisa. She cried out in pain, calling the attention of two of the rockets who were previously looking through a large metal bin full of pokeballs.
"'Ey! That lil' girlie's tryin' to steal our Pokemon!" One of the rockets yelled, his face furrowed into a hideous frown.
"Let's get the little brat," the other hissed, holding an insulated iron rod and grinning deviously, "I bet the boss will be pleased to have such a fine catch, heh, heh, heh."
The one Rocket with the rod and the disgusting laugh reminded Lisa of a Toxicroak, and her mind, in its near fried state, went on a tangent. Toxicroak, a disliked pokemon, like Misdreavus, like Merlin, who is my pokemon, who brought me... OH! Lisa hastily put her hand into her pocket, drawing out the safari ball Merlin gave her earlier. She hoped this worked...

Merlin, too, was getting exhausted by the persistence of the rockets. Many had fallen due to paralysis, but there were still the annoying ones with the insulated rods that were now drawing off the electricity. There had to be another way to stop them. Merlin looked at the wet ground, and remembered the incident with the mewvee and how the Rain Dance in combination with Icy wind had frozen everything. Well, if it worked there, it would work here. Merlin's gems quickly faded out of their yellow state and into an icy blue glow that was cold to even look at. With a great breath, the ghost exhaled an Icy Wind whose tendrils of chill quickly ensnared many of the rod holding rockets and froze the ground below. Unfortunately, it also cause the Raikou to become frozen as well, making it cry out again in suffering and excruciating pain as ice tore through its open wounds.

Lisa had just managed to throw her safari ball containing her new pokemon out before the frigid air choked her and froze her body in place. The ball, however, passed through the veil of sparkling ice with little ill effect, and landed on the frozen ground with a brilliant red flash. Standing where the pokeball landed was an absol, the harbinger of Disaster. Lisa gulped. Perhaps sending out this new pokemon was a bad idea. It didn't help that she couldn't move her lips to command it, and that she was glued via ice to the Raikou who was now, understandably, sending out lighting bolts with each roar. Now that the net was mostly removed, many of the electric charges were allowed to fly wildly. Lisa prayed she wouldn't get hit too much more.

The Absol looked around at the scene and was horrified. The now frozen blood still reeked of the pain and suffering that its previous owner endured. On top of that, he saw his own captors grinning and maliciously approaching a human girl and, great Arceus above, a Raikou. Those cruel fiends that trapped it in that dark and horrible room with the gas must pay, the angered Pokemon thought. Thinking of how to get its revenge on his tormentors, the blood red pokemon noticed a cart full of valuable items. Perfect, the Absol thought as he ran toward the cart, using his sharp claws to grip into the ice. The two Rockets that were going after Lisa now turned to the glittering dark type pokemon, chasing it in an attempt to stop it from reaching the cart. Unfortunately, Rockets did not have good traction on ice, and both Rockets tripped and skidded toward the cart carrying the various pokeballs, leaving a trail of fresh blood that immediately froze on the ice. The Absol quickly dodged the flying Rockets, and they went blasting off (again) into the cart, carrying it and it's payload of pokeballs down the hill and off into the rocky fields below.

Merlin, seeing the other Rockets knocked out or too injured to walk and pose any real threat, floated over to Lisa and the wounded Raikou. All the Electric Pokemon could muster now was a faint whimper as he looked at Merlin with fear. Merlin began to tear up himself. "I-I didn't mean to- Oh, I am so sorry," the Misdreavus apologized to the great Tiger, unsure if he would ever be forgiven by the Raikou or Holy Arceus above. Slowly, his gems glowed red, and the clouds cleared in lieu of the heat wave that was now melting the ice. Merlin could only stare at the great beast now, though, as he drifted to the ground and fainted, his ghostly tears still streaming across his face.

The Absol that had come from the safari ball now walked over to the two other pokemon and the human, concluding that the girl was not a threat. Seeing the chains and shackles on the Raikou, it stepped up and slashed at the binding metal. Its strong horn scythe made quick work of the brittle metal. The dark pokemon then went and nudged the Raikou, urging it to get up and run now.

Lisa stared at Merlin, then the Absol, then looked to the now freed Raikou. The great Pokemon was so weak, it was unable to even stand, much less shock Lisa too badly, so she stroked it. "Come on, it's gonna be ok," she whispered softly, trying to convince herself as much as the great Legendary. Slowly, with each stroke, the tense muscles of the Raikou relaxed. The legendary pokemon looked at Lisa, wondering why this human was so different from the others, why this female was now stroking it softly while the others had beat and maimed it. With each passing moment, the scene became quieter. A quick nudge from the Absol prompted Lisa to look into her bag. There she found it, the little miracle capsule that she had saved so much money for, a Max Revive. Gingerly, she coaxed the Raikou's mouth open and slipped the pill down into its throat. Then, she waited, hoped, and prayed.

The Raikou swallowed the oddly shaped human's "berry", and felt the energy at once return to its body. The taste of blood left its mouth, the massive pain melted away with the remnants of the ice around it. It could feel the electricity that flowed through its being become stronger, more vivid. With one small gift, this human had given it its life back. The Raikou stared in awe at the girl, amazed that anything would give up such a miraculous cure for another. Renewed, the Raikou rolled onto its feet and looked at the now weak girl. She could have used it for herself, it thought, she could have simply been like most trainers and captured me. I could not have resisted the capture in my state. Yet she healed me. The Raikou nudged the human girl softly, expressing its gratitude. No, it couldn't just leave it at that. The Raikou turned to the Absol. "Bring the human's things, for I claim this one as my own." With a nod from the Absol, the Raikou turned to the fallen girl. With one smooth motion, it picked up the girl and flung her over it's back. "We must leave now, before the humans in black awaken," it commanded the red Absol before walking gingerly away from the camp, its own human in tow.

The sudden exit from the dankness of the Rocket's base seemed almost cinematic, as Meeka was rejoiced with the sudden freedom but than alerted with the cry of something hurt. Instinct told her to run, run far away, as whatever was hurt likely going on a rampage. However, there was pain in the roar. Yellow eyes glanced to the Pikachu, whose cheeks were cackling wildly. "A-Are you alright Poji?" questioned the breeder towards the star marked rodent. Poji shook her head, her purple eyes brimming with tears as her body shuddered with electrical pulses. Referring to her knowledge of most Pokemon who were the electric type, react in such of way like her Pikachu's when there were large quantities of electrical power about. This mostly occurred during Thunder storms. However, there seemed to not be a cloud in the towering sky above them.

Taking another glance towards Poji, Meeka's face went serious. "It is over here, isn't it?" questioned her with a stern face, to which Poji replied to meekly with a nod of her head. Grappling her Pikachu into a tight hug, the orange haired female trudged over quietly, following the moans of pain. Kneeling under a collection of intertwining shrubbery, gold eyes traveled across the horizon. The scene shocked her, nearly bringing the breeder's own eyes to tears. The scene was terrifying. Rocket grunts were everywhere. A collection was nestled in the middle, pinning something down while two were being a side act and searching violently for something inside of a cart. The scene reminded the breeder of some kind of circus display and almost made her want to smile. However, the moment was not the time for jokes or tomfoolery. Nearing closer to the terrifying growls and yelps, Meeka came to see the main attraction. A large Raikou was set in the middle of all the clowns, trapped to the ground under several nets and shackles. It seemed to be hurt also, as if the rusted streaks upon the ground was not enough to inform her of an injury.

Counting the group guarding the legendary dog, Meeka frowned as she did not have enough fingers to total up them all. Two were still left over. "A dozen Rockets guarding it.." she mumbled aloud, mostly to herself. "Two looking for something in that cart..." Suddenly, Meeka's head jolted up with an idea. Setting Poji on the floor, she winked at her. The Pikachu wiped away the tears on its eyes and blinked, clueless as to what Meeka was trying to portray to her. Grinning mischievously, Meeka nodded her head. "How 'bout a game of Fooz Ball?" she asked towards the Pikachu. Poji's eyes widened and inwardly, she scoffed. This was no times for games! What was her trainer thinking?!

Meeka shot her eyes over towards the two still wrestling about to find the Master Ball and the group who were still keeping watch. It took Poji a moment, but she finally got the plan. A simple game of Fooz Ball, that's all it was. Grinning just like her trainer, Poji wagged her tail in approval. "Chaa!" she giggled, spouting on as if saying, "Sure, let's play!" Picking up a nearby stick, Meeka used the cleared patch of ground as an easel as she drew out a game plan. After a few moments of pointing, mumbles and scribbles in the dirt, both Meeka and Poji nodded their heads. "Game!" Meeka mumbled firmly as she shot away from the Pikachu. At the same time, the Pikachu threw her hands up and cried, "Cha!" and darted the opposite way.

Meeka quietly moved herself over to the other end of the group of Rockets, waiting patiently in the thickets as Poji went to get her job done. The Pikachu scrambled through the shrubs, moving her way towards the cart. She eyed the two discreetly as they looked for the Master Ball. When the first grunt looked the other way for a moment, the Pikachu striked. She lashed out with a Thunder Punch, upper cutting the grunt and sending him flying a couple feet away. The other looked dumbfounded as his partner lay sprawled out on the floor, unconscious. Poji giggled to the sight and stared at the second grunt, who was reddening with anger. Poji blew him a raspberry and began digging into the pile of Pokeballs, looking for any shade of purple she might see. The grunt grew more angry as Poji kicked up Pokeballs into his face. Immediately, he clawed at her, trying to get the electrical rodent into his grasp. However, the Pikachu just grinned at the grunt and slipped between his grip, pirouetting in the air and slapping the grunt harshly in the face with her tail. The grunt's eyes filled with tears from the lash and he busted out crying, running away like a little fool crying "Mommy!"

Poji giggled and blew another raspberry before returning to digging through the pile. Some of the grunts from the center had grown suspicious from seeing the other grunt on the floor and followed over cautiously to investigate. Poji became alarmed. She had to hurry up! As she threw more Pokeballs aside, the nostalgic purple top of a Master Ball trickled down. Poji quickly caught it within grasp. She jumped to the edge of the cart and waved, signaling to Meeka. Meeka jumped from the bushes and nodded, calling to Poji, "I'm open!" Poji threw the Masterball as she became bombarded with grunts who tried to get her. She cut through the group with a Volt Tackle, heading towards her trainer.

Some other grunts had caught onto the pair's plan and noticed the Master ball submersed into the air, swiveling violently as it spun looking for a landing. Meeka did not take her eyes off of it as she waited for the perfect time to catch it. However, the group of grunts got in her way, pushing her down and attempting to pin her like they did the Raikou. Poji growled with anger as she fought some of them off, biting and nipping at sides and pulling skin. As the Master ball was about to end its descent, several hands shot up in an attempt to catch it.

But one lone hand stood out amongst the rest. A dainty little hand with scarred finger tips whose only wish was to help the Pokemon of the world. It was Meeka's. Kicking the other grunts off her violently, Meeka growled at the group. Some were out of it as Poji had given them a good beating, but the others still conscious were glaring at Meeka. They began to laugh at her, teasing of how a girl who hardly grazed five feet would be able to fight eight of them off.

Suddenly, a roar more louder than the Raikou's cries of malice and pain pierced the atmosphere. Somehow, anger had welled up within the usual happy-go-lucky Breeder. She stamped over towards the grunts, who took two steps back for every one she made. They found themselves clattered together in a group next as Meeka broke out into yells.

"I can stand the fact you are making fun of me you group of good for nothing infidels!" she began, her voice rising as if scolding them. "But, I chose to do something with my life. I choose to help Pokemon instead of harm them for profit that eventually would be drained from you after the stupid association you dedicated your souls to decide to take your heads! I know what living is about. It was not for the greater good of one, it is for the greater good of all! And certainly, I know what it means to matter to this world! And not claim a spot so low that is makes me look nothing better than a fricken' Swinub wallowing in a pit of mud, okay?!"

The group eyes widened to Meeka's remark. But that wasn't the end of it. The breeder took her anger out on them, punching, kicking and kneeing them in areas where the sun doesn't shine to teach them a lesson. Finally, all eight of the grunts who were just making fun of her were out cold at her feet. Spitting at them, Meeka mumbled hastily under her breathe as she turned to the Raikou, who was still sparking with anger.

Meeka got to work on removing the nets as Poji tried her best to calm the Raikou down. As she threw off the layers of net, the legendary dog did not take her eyes off her. Finally, the nets were off, but she had to turn to the problem of the shackles. Pondering on how to get it done, Poji licked at the gashes on the Raikou in hopes of getting them clean and preventing infection. Meeka sighed, frowning to the Raikou as it had remained silent all the while. "I'm sorry," she apologized, shaking her head. "I-I don't know how to break them. If you'd wait a little while, maybe I can-" But before Meeka could continue, the Raikou raised to its feet. It pulled at the shackles, which broke under the sudden pull. Meeka gasped. Even for all the hell the poor creature had gone through, it still had strength. Shrugging it off, it was understandable. It was a legendary after all.

The Raikou nudged Poji's cheek gently in a thank you for cleaning its wounds before directing its gold gaze towards Meeka again. Speechless as to what to say, she just held out the Masterball she was carrying with her. The Raikou swatted it away, its face serious for its decision. Meeka smirked to it. "Giant warrior, aren't ya?" she complimented, before she glanced over to the group she thought she had beaten down. Some were coming to and this made her eyes widen. Turning to the Raikou and Poji, she beckoned to them to begin running. "Let's get out of here!" she said with a slight shriek. Grabbing Meeka by the hood of her sweater and nudging Poji with its head, the Raikou darted out of the camp and away to safety.

Go Mister Pokeball! 83
PostPosted: Sun Jun 28, 2009 8:27 pm

After groggily escaping the cage with all the other trainers and sunlight had started to stream into sight, Aurore had decided to see what little pokemon Dream had brought to her. She knew the Furret knew her impeccably well by now after working at the daycare together, and so knew that this poor little thing was in need of some love and nurturing. It needed someone, and it made a small glow of a smile bloom on her face. Letting it out of its ball with a flash of red light and a 'ka-chaaan' that was the standard fare, she found an abnormally colored Electrike. Kneeling down to it, she carefully put her hand out for him to smell.

"Come on....I won't hurt you, wherever you came from, sweetling. I'm here now...." she shushed calmly, seeing his static-filled hackles raised up in apprehension. How was she to know the last time the pup had seen a human, he'd been strapped to that monstrous machine? But the pup smelled familiar things on her hand, and stretched his neck out carefully to get a better scent. Looking to her furry companion, he vaugely recognized the Furret he'd bitten earlier.....during that time. That horrible time where every ounce of strength and energy was being ripped from his body. He visibly shuddered and tucked his tail fur between his legs submissively with a whimper. Aurore's heart went out to him, and he allowed her to take his head and press her forehead to it, stroking his fur and trying to smooth it all the while.

"Sssshhh, sssshhh......come now, why don't we go home? What do you say, Dream? What would be a good name for the little guy......Reine, Vitari.....Aurelius.....no....oh! What about Sholto?"she pondered out loud, looking between the pup who yipped his soft approval and wagged his backside and Dream, whom was nodding and bumping against her leg. Standing up, she smiled and basked in the sun, but not all was as carefree as she'd hoped.

As the trainers milled out, there was a sudden harsh cry, more of a mournful roar actually. Sholto immediately jumped to attention and flicked his ears to and fro, looking around for the sound and bounding towards it. If nothing else, he seemed very willful and had the sort of stupid bravery that consisted of 'leap first, ask questions later when you're hopefully not dead'. Aurore looked to Dream worriedly, about both the sound and the electric puppy running off, and they sprinted off after him. Dream found his side was still giving him a little trouble, but he knew that would heal in a few days and the dull ache would go away soon enough, though it was enough to slow him down a little bit more than usual.

If Aurore noticed, she didn't say anything to the ferret type, and instead they came to a crashing halt when they stopped behind the dumbstruck and cowering Sholto. On the cusp of the forest was where the pup had stopped, just short of the middle of camp, and had apparently fallen to the ground terrified, shaking and whining as if the world was about to end. He hadn't even noticed the pokemon INSIDE the net that had the same properties as the machine.....but Aurore and Dream did. Falling to her knees and stifling a gasp, Aurore's eyes were wide as saucers and tears laced the edges of her vision, making things blurry and distorted. Inside an electricity draining net was housed a broken and battered demi-god that the breeder and her team had never thought they'd see in any lifetime. Picking Sholto up and cuddling him as a few tears fell down her face, she stifled her hiccuping in his fur while he finally looked up and saw the horror.

Raikou, the Thunder God, one of the major deity's of ALL Electric type pokemon......he was being downright tortured while those miserable worms that called themselves Rockets were holding the net down, putting pegs into the ground to hold him while the net cut deeper into his skin and his Thunder could not grasp any purchase with the properties of the net. How could this be? Sholto blinked in utter disbelief as his god, his unofficial protector as well as the protector of all electrics, was slowly bleeding away on the ground. Surveying the damage as Aurore cried into his fur and Dream curled around her, chittering away worriedly to try and comfort her, Sholto realized that not only was the Thunder God being drained of his strength slowly, but had been left bleeding like this for hours. The blood smelled old, even from here, and you could hardly tell the difference between that and the new blood. It all smelled rancid.....death blood. If the worms weren't stopped the great Storm God would cease to exist.

Sholto growled. No, not today. He watched other trainers start to fight back, either keeping the men that were at the cart filled with pokeballs busy, or trying to take on their own mini-groups of rockets. There were definitely plenty to go around, there were so many you'd think they were a hive of ants. Butting his head against his new trainer, for somehow some instinct in him told him she was, he looked at her with piercing green eyes as if to plead with her 'Can we not do something to save him?' and his whine that resembled a tone very close to mournful begging made her stop her sniveling for a moment and sit back. She pet Dream's head as he curled around her still, humming his displeasure with the situation as well and comforting her at the same time. Looking over to the scene and watching others fight so hard for such a beautiful creature.....she couldn't bare to look. Turning away and biting her lip so hard it began to bleed as well she choked back a sob.

That lovely, strong, majestic creature should not be owned under any human name. That was not his purpose. He was a beacon of hope, of beauty, of the sheer strength that were the forces of the storm and of electric pokemon. He was Arcaeus's and Giratina's perfect culmination of what an electric Storm God should be. He was not some common beast that deserved to be shackled down because of his ferocity, it was BECAUSE of that brilliant ferocity that he was showing even now down to the last moment that defined him as something.....MORE. Steeling herself, she forced her tears to become silent and filled with fury, banishing the sorrow her soft heart felt for all pokemon. This outrage could not, would not, continue. Everyone was fighting so hard. The least she could do was scrounge up enough courage to try, instead of cowering in her pokemon's fur like a scared Azuril. Standing up, she looked to both her partners and nodded, clenching her fists until her knuckles were white and her nails started to dig little half-moon circles into her palm.

"Dream. I need you to help distract some of the Rockets by the pegs so they can't put them into the ground far enough to hold him.....Sholto. We'll go in and try to get the net off....and if that fails....I don't want to see a single Rocket un-singed by lightning, is that clear?" she whispered, her voice hoarse but deathly quiet and filled with a silent, refined outrage. Both of her partners nodded their approval, yipping and trilling their affirmative.

"Elec!"
"Frrrrrrrruuuret!"

With that, the foolhardy but admirably dedicated trio ran down the hill to join the fray. Even with tears fogging up her eyes, Aurore ran straight for Raikou and didn't stop, even when a few Rockets started coming her way, she had faith in her first partner. That faith was well spend as Dream started pushing himself to get ahead of the other two, leaping at the first two Rockets and spinning to use Iron Tail right at eye level and knock their heads together so fast that one fell immediately in a dead faint while the other was crumpled up on the ground, dry heaving from the minor concussion. Keeping on her course, the frail breeder practically slammed against the side of the great beast and consequently his thunder-filled net. Choking out a scream, Aurore stumbled back a few paces as Raikou gave a deafening roar and turned his head with venomous eyes to see what human dared to torture him further.

Seeing the little girl with her shaking hands and dirty face strewn with tear-streaks and outrage, even while more tears threatened to overflow and break her down, the Great Dog snarled his defiance and put out a massive amount of electricity as the clouds above grew steadily dark and threatening. It was amazing and made Aurore gape in awe, even as Sholto and Dream were snarling and biting and thrashing against Rockets around her, that this strange and magnificent creature still had so much strength and passion even on the brink of oblivion. Looking overhead as the storm clouds grew more prominent, there was a flash of lightning that painted the entire scenes in hues of stark whites, grays, and electric blues that dazzled the eyes and made the mighty roar of Raikou that much more terrifying and incredible all at once. As the world started returning to its normal storm colors, rain started falling and she looked to Dream, but he wasn't using Rain Dance. But maybe......

"DREAM! Use Rain Dance! Sholto, when it starts coming down hard I want you to Discharge at every Rocket you see putting in the pegs!" she ordered over the din, the thunder and lightning speeding up to a constantly rolling pace as Raikou became more and more desperate in his attempts to free himself of these vile humans. As his own conjured rain began to fall, Dreamcatcher complied with his mistress's request, and stopped his assault on the Rockets long enough to conjure his own Rain Dance. Almost immediately the rain no longer just came down, but pelted the ground. People were starting to slip from the quickly accumulating slick mud and grass everywhere and Sholto went to his valiant work immediately, discharging the three closest Rockets to the net, all of whom were putting in steaks as quickly as they could.

Watching them be run off or knocked out cold by Sholto and the pokemon of other trainers around, Aurore took her chance to start violently digging at the spikes and the mud that was starting to let them go, desperately pulling at them until the first one gave with much jerking and pulling. It snapped up into the air immediately as Raikou slid his paw through the small opening, sending small sparks dancing across the ground. Aurore moved onto the others much in the same fashion, but a sickening 'CHA-CRACK!' made her head turn from her work on one of the corner pegs keeping Raikou locked in place. What she saw horrified her. While Sholto was busy with the Rockets and shocking them into submission, Dream had been alternating between his own electric attacks, Iron Tail, and Rain Dances to help the situation, but he was tiring and the ache in his side had caught up to him. He'd overworked his body so soon after such a horrible injury from inside and was resting while trying to survey the situation.

A Rocket had taken a nearby pole that they were going to insert into the pikes to steady them and had hit Dream from behind and the side, snapping his back while the Furret was turned and provoking a horrible gut wrenching screech from the pokemon. Aurore's ears were filled with a ghastly, mournful screaming of anguish, and it took her forever to realize it was her own voice. But help comes from the most unexpected places they say, and Raikou roared his own outrage at the scene in front of him and Thunderbolted the Rocket so hard that the was flung into a tree and knocked out, if not electrocuted. Looking to the growling Raikou, Aurore was back to a sniveling mess, but her mudstained face and hands kept to their work even if she couldn't see, and she yanked out the last peg just as the rest of the Rockets were turning tail from the trainers and threats around them.

Slumping down to the ground, Aurore slipped multiple times before managing to get over to her fallen Dream and cradle him. The poor creature was barely alive, and what was left of him was a shivering, convulsing mess. She felt his spine and found that while it wasn't broken, the shock and pain had been enough to overload his insides and his heart was beating overtime and at an irregular pace. As the rain and clouds faded away, she vaugely heard the happy howl of Sholto and the triumphant roar of Raikou as it threw off the net completely. But her world was centered on her precious gift instead. While everyone dispersed or looked on, Raikou approached the broken human girl and her Furret, Sholto quickly behind and whining, sniffing Dream for any signs that he would be okay, but the Furret had stopped moving alltogether.

Before Aurore knew what was happening, Raikou had batted him out of her arms much to her dismay and sob of a protest, and put his muzzle on the Furret's still chest over where the heart should be. As she watched, his own wounds were steadily healing, and his strength hadn't seemed to fade much now that he was free, but the control he had was amazing. With the finesse of an artist's fine, delicate hands, Raikou positioned his muzzle just the right way and took Dream's chest into his jaws, where lightning was sparking inside his mouth. As he lightly bit, Dream's body jolted, much like a defibrillator in a hospital. Raikou repeated this process three times before Dream jerked back to life and gasped, squirming to get out of the legendary beast's grasp with a panicked look as he sought out Aurore. Letting the scared ferret go, Raikou gave one last growling 'Rai-oof' before looking at the colletive effort to save him, then turned his tails on the human girl and her pokemon and walked towards the forest silently, the weather just as clear and sedate as it had been before. The camp was decimated, but Aurore was praising the gods so feverently and holding her Furret so tight you'd have thought she was in a beautiful church. Sholto whined around her, jumping from one foot to another, and even licked Dream's face.

From the shadow of the forest, Raikou turned back and watched the overjoyed little family's bonds, both new and old, grow tenfold and 'humped' to himself, lashing his tail and mane behind him. Perhaps......perhaps not ALL humans were bad. It appeared even Legendary figures learned something new everyday.

(( Just to clarify for nit-pickings/descriptions sake, a defibrillator is that shock machine with the paddles that the hospital uses to resuscitate people who's hearts have stopped and are technically dead. ))

" This is ridiculous. " Teddy could be heard grumbling behind the group. Though no one bothered to listen to the whiny nineteen year old. Why strain their ears? He never said anything of importance. Just mention how he was Teddy Alexander Vasquez and how he should be treated with better class! Teddy, sadly, never stopped voicing his opinions.

" Why were we in cages? I'm soooo suing this place when I get back home. They even gave me a Pokemon! Like..I don't want it! " The male tossed the female nidoran beside him a disgusted glare before continuing on. Rental sighed in response. Was this the trainer she was stuck with? Out of all of them? THIS ONE? Growling in frustration Rental ventured on ahead until she no longer could. The humans had stopped for some odd reason, most in complete silence, others mentioning the name Raikou over and over again.

" Why are you guys stopping? Acting like I have all day or something. Jesus Christ on a stick. " Teddy continued to call the rest of the crew negative things as he pushed right through to the exit. Rental remained by his side, STILL dragging the Pokeball with the Ekans laying dormant inside. The two would have continued on if they were not met with such a strange sight. A ferociously large Pokemon trapped in the middle of the 'camp', roaring in anger, sparks of electricity escaping from the net in multiple directions. Both 'trainer' and Pokemon's heart sank with grief. Such an amazing creature even in a situation as this. Teddy stumbled, forgetting to keep his balance. " What...what is this? " Whatever was happening did not look safe in any way. " Well, it was lovely seeing you all. Now have a nice day! " Teddy jolted from his spot among the crown towards the exit.

What the hell what the hell what the hell! Teddy's thoughts were stuck on repeat. This entire thing was too much to handle. Life was meant to work HIS way. No other way but Teddy's way...right? Rocket Grunts obviously disagreed to allow the model to have his way and began their chase. Teddy was far from athletic so it came to no surprise that one of the male Grunts caught up and yanked him back by the hair. Teddy cried out in pain as he fell on his rump, eye quickly filling up with tears. " GET AWAY FROM ME YOU a*****e! " His demand over powered by yet another roar from Raikou. Ears stinging, Teddy realized how close he had gotten to the Pokemon. Their eyes met....then silence. How could such power take form in a Pokemon?

The shouting of various commands soon brought back Teddy into reality. Turning away from the Thunder Pokemon Teddy noticed the group he previously departed from had begun to attack. If only the Rocket keeping him down would just dissipate into nothing! He would be able to take advantage of the Rocket group being distracted and escape. Who cared if he did not know his way home. Who cared if he did not have his cell phone to call up up Vincent! As long as he was able to escape and return to his expensive life. Away over overly large electric tigers and foul smelling people.

" Where did you think you were going pretty boy? " The Rocket Grunt's raspy voice stung Teddy's currently sensitive ears. " Huh!? " The man tossed him to the ground with a hardy laugh, his friend giving him a pat on the back before returning to scavenge through a large bag of Pokeballs . Teddy combed through his hair with his one free hand, looking at the clump which has just been pulled out. Then something inside the boy snapped. Hazel eyes narrowed viciously, mimicking the same powerful stare the Raikou had given him

Teddy's battle cry fused in with one of the Raikou's roars, his face becoming bright red. His head lay limp to one side, a wide grin placed among his girly face. Then without warning he did a full speed tackle into the other male, smashing into the Legendary Pokemon. Raikou sent out another jolt of electricity in response. The grunt spazzmed from the shock then quickly hit the muddy floor below. His blood thirsty stare then focused on the one too busy looking inside the bag to notice what had just happened. " Hey you a*****e! " Teddy laughed out loud before mushing the Rocket's face into the pokeballs.

The Rocket pulled back and swung a fist which connected with Teddy's face. The model lost his footing, falling, and scraping his palms on the floor. He winced in pain and quickly took notice to the bleeding of his hands. " My well lotions hands..." Wait, were those tears dripping down his cheeks? From raging to sobbing Teddy was pulling a bi-poplar in mid battle. To his surprise a tiny female Nidoran had stepped in to prevent any more harm to befall on his beautiful body. Rental finally decided to prove her worth along side her newest buddy, Acid, the Ekans from before. The two poison types unleashed multiple hazardous move on the poor Rocket Grunt until he remained unconscious.

Teddy's sobbing came to a close when the Pokemon had finished up their job. Human and Pokemon once again shared a silent stare before they nodded in agreement. What did they agree to do exactly? To free the beast of course. Teddy had a different motive as to why he was doing such a random act of kindness. " Look crazy big thing. We are going to let you go, okay? But you have to forget everything you saw me do okay? Cause it would be terrible if the public would ever find out about this! Oh no no n- " Raikou growled for him to be quiet.

Nidoran used her buck teeth to thing out the rope as Teddy ripped. Acid kept an eye out for any more attackers, which were only a few left since the entire group was slowly proving to be victorious. Raikou wasted no time to rise up once his prison was cut free by such a random trainer. His facial features calmed as he stood before Teddy, his power leaving every living thing in the facility completely silent.

Poor Raikou! Sure, Falx was a rocket grunt, but even she thought that this was too far. Legendary pokemon should be left alone! It helped that she was feeling extra spiteful for having been knocked out by her own group. She would teach them some respect, even if she was only a grunt! But how?

Bowser had brought her an Ekans, which she quickly named Saber. Falx was surprised the surly rental pokemon had done so well. Usually she had little luck with getting Havok to listen to her. Could she trust the little Nidoran to do a good job again? And what about Saber? She had to. They were all she had. Was this what those trainers felt all the time? What a feeling!

Starting forward, she planned as she ran. The two grunts looking for a proper pokeball to use were ignorable. Typical Rocket inefficiency she knew firsthand, they would find the stronger balls too late. The crowd of rocket grunts was a problem, though. Think! She was a grunt! What would she react to?

"HEY MORONS! YOUR HEALTHCARE PROGRAM DOESN'T COVER POISON TYPE ATTACKS! SABER! BOWSER! HIT THEM WITH POISON STING!" she yelled, bearing down at them. The grunts scattered, even before the attack hit the dirt at their feet. Perfect! She had no idea if what she said was true or not, but knowing how stingy management was it was probably accurate! More importantly, both pokemon listened to her! Falx couldn't hide a small feeling of amazement.

But now she neared the injured legend. He was too hurt to tell friend from foe, tossing his head, enraged at the world, but his beauty was evident. He won her over immediately. Her resolve increased, she would free the elegant creature. Getting back at Team Rocket was reduced to a side benefit. But maybe her team could help! Looking for a slow grunt, she commanded her pokemon after him. The little Nidoran tripped him and as as he fell Saber wrapped around his legs. Thanking the pair, Falx tugged the grunt's gloves off with a flourish. They did have rubber in them! Pulling the electric-resistant gloves on she rushed to the net that held the helpless cat. He clawed at her in confusion, but fortunately couldn't get his paw around. Bit by bit he came free, becoming less savage as the net stopped pressing against his wound.

She was getting nervous, though. He was still fierce. If she freed him all the way, would he attack her? Could he tell the difference between her and the ones who had imprisoned him? Was there a difference? She didn't know, but the grunts were regaining their courage, and the two searching for a master ball looked closer to success than she was comfortable with. Up close she saw Raikou's wound and heard his distress. Damage to herself or not, he would go free! With a pull she freed Raikou from the final locks of dominating net, and flinched, expecting teeth.

But there was nothing. She opened her eyes. He stood expectantly, his orange eyes curiously holding her gaze, calmer than she thought he could be. "Go." she mouthed. "Get out of here." If he didn't run soon, the angry Rockets might catch him, and her effort would have come to nothing. She didn't even consider throwing the ball in her pocket at him. If this was her one big act against Team Rocket, then she wouldn't ruin it by stopping Raikou from going home and healing. After this mess, he deserved it. She planned to do the same.

He seemed to know her decision. With a bow, and only a slight limp, he turned and raced back into the forest. As the other trainers caught up to her, doing what they could to round up the retreating and defeated Team Rocket, Falx idly wondered if she would see him again.

WARNING! Jem is crazy violent and tends to cuss a lot. Sorry about that. Also sorry about ALL THE COLORS. xD;;

Jem stared, wide-eyed at the glorious electric beast. She'd heard stories of the Thunder pokemon when she was little had been enraptured by it's power over lightening, her sister had cooed over it's image as a tiger. To see such a wonderful, majestic creature wounded and mobbed by these Rocket cowards struck a cord in her. A very violent, angry one.

"How... How DARE YOU! YOU MISERABLE ******** COWARDS! GET AWAY FROM IT!" she screamed, running at the Rockets surrounding Raikou. "You simpering wimps can't even fight fair!" the redhead yelled as she drew back her arm, "EAT THIS YOU a*****e!" she snarled as she threw a punch at a grunt who had been a bit too occupied with keeping the Raikou netted. "There's a can of Whoop a** with your names on it, mofo's! Who want's their helping first!"

Electra galloped after her temporary trainer, the woman's rage rubbing off on her and compounding on her grumpyness. She sent a set of Magical Leaves at the netting, not really expecting it to do much damage if Raikou's electricity didn't. She was surprised when the net teared a bit and some sparks seeped through. She stopped a few feet from Jem, forming a plan. She took the pokeball that the other bulbasaur was in and released it.
"Do you want to get back at the ones who controlled you?" She asked abruptly.

"Wha-"
"DO YOU WANT TO KICK SOME ROCKET BUTT?"
"Y-yes?"
"Then do exactly what I tell you." she said with a glare. "I want you to help me tear up that net. Send as many Razor Leaves at it as possible. If a Rocket or one of their pokemon menaces you, beat it away. I don't care how, they don't need mercy." the female said with a glower. "Got it?"
"Yes ma'm!" he said, almost worried about what would happen to him if he didn't.
"Then lets get started."

Meanwhile, Jem was doing her part in ...'distracting' the Rockets. She'd never been the girly type, so she'd went to various hand to hand combat classes when she was young. Karate, then a variety of general self defense classes, even kick boxing. She was well versed in the art of a** kicking.
She kicked a grunt in the kidneys, bringing him down. "Eat it, douchebag!" she said, swinging around and dodging low to avoid a punch from another, and elbowed him in the gut. "What, gunna hit me from behind? Facking coward!" she said as she kicked his legs out from under him. She looked around for another Rocket to pummel, noticing other trainers doing their parts around the camp. She looked at the remaining Rockets around Raikou's restraints and started stalking towards them, a murderously intent look on her freckled face.

"Look out behind you!" Electra yelled at the other bulbasaur as an ekans slithered up behind him. The male spun around and slamed a paw into the side of the snake's head. The poison type went flying. "Wh-what was that?!"
"Impressed? That was Strength. Rockets'll force you to learn all kinds of moves when they get their paws on ya." he said as he turned back around and sent another round of Razor Leaves at the weakening net.
"O-Oh. Sorry."she said and sent a set of magical Leaves of her own to the same spot.
"No big deal, sweet cheeks." he responded, harrowing the net again.
"WH-WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!" the usually quiet saur yelled.
"Look! We've made a hole!"
"What! Oh good!" she then called to the legendary beast, "Raikou! Here! We've made a hole here!"

The big cat heard them and struggled to fit it's claws through the small opening. The shackles restricted it's movement greatly. Suddenly, the shackles released. Jem had decided to menace a Rocket near their controls and the act of pounding the female Rocket's head into the panel had triggered their release. The Legend wasted no time once freed from them. Claws were shoved through the hole and were used to tear it into a Raikou sized one.
"Thank you, small ones." the Raikou said, with a decidedly female voice, "I am in your debt." she said to the bulbasaurs.
The rockets started fleeing in fear once they realized that the Legendary Beast was free. At least, most of them.

"Ha! Found the masterball! Now I'll get you! Your no match for this, Raikou!" the Rocket sneered. "Pokeball GO!" he yelled as he threw the ball.

Or at least tried to.
"LIKE HELL YOU WILL!" Jem screamed, tackling the offending grunt. The masterball went wild, flying high and coming up many feet short. Jem punched the man square in the face, making sure his nose would never be the same, and continued to batter his head with her fists. The man eventually escaped from her grasp, because she realized she was being intensely stared at by a VERY large electric pokemon.

"Why is that one injured? Were these black-garbed humans after her too?" the cat asked.
"No, she did not wish to see you captured like that, so she fought them." Electra respectfully told the Legend.
"Hmm, that's a bit unexpected." she remarked.
"Why? This world is full of people who love pokemon and would fight for them. It is not populated solely of these Rockets." the smaller pokemon retorted.

"Umm, hello..." she replied nervously. She knew she looked a sight with all the injuries obtained in her fury. She wiped the blood from her split lip and tenderly held her bruised side, her knuckles were a mess as well, but then she noticed Electra and the other bulbasaur. "Electra!"she exclaimed, stumbling up. "Are you ok babe? And who is this? And why are you with Raikou? ...and why am I acting like you can answer me?" she said with a chuckle and patted Electra on the head. "You don't look hurt, thank goodness. Neither does your friend." she then looked to the Raikou. "Your free now, you don't have to stay any longer. Do you need to be healed? I have some berries, if that will help..." she dug in her pocket and held out some oran berries.

Raikou gave the berries a cursory sniff, but declined from eating them. She rose from the ground and faced the bulbasaurs.
"You give me much to think about. I hope our paths cross again, small ones." and with that, she sped off into the woods.

"Wow. Jyp is going to flip about this."

POKEBALL GO!
PostPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 8:56 am

She thought it would be all over, once everyone was free and the buses were only a couple steps away. They could go home now and never have to look upon this dreaded camp again. The police were coming to arrest all the Rockets. She could go home now.

But no. Piney heard a loud rumbling noise, almost like a muffled roar, and had to investigate. With her faithful Espeon following behind her, she deviated from the rest of the group and went over to the source of the noise.

... And she couldn't believe what she saw. She even didn't know what she was looking at. It was a yellow tiger-like Pokemon with large fangs and purple clouds billowing from its back, yeah, but that's all she definitely knew about it.

“Come on!” One of the Rockets shouted. “We need to get this Raikou out of here before we get caught! Where's that damn Masterball?!”

Raikou! That was... the legendary beast of thunder! Whose speed was so legendary that only the most expert trainers could hope to catch it! No doubt that the Rockets played foul to capture him, and they were going to get away with it if she didn't act.

The Raikou was the only one that noticed Piney and Daybreak in the shadows. He attempted to roar, but with the barbed wires over his muzzle, it came out as a pitiful mew.

Was this how they treated a legendary Pokemon? Bind it so tight that it can't even move? Blanket it in special wire so it would get hurt by its own power! She clenched her fist just thinking about it.

There was no way in hell that she was going to let the Rockets get away. It wasn't because she was a police officer, but because she was a human being that cared about Pokemon.

She wouldn't let her anger take control of her though. As much as she'd like to charge in and beat the crap out of every Rocket, she knew it wouldn't work. One person and her Pokemon against two dozen and their Pokemon wasn't such great odds.

Piney needed a plan. And she came up with a pretty good one right now. Bending down to Daybreak, she whispered it into her ear. The Espeon nodded in response and her eyes started glowing white.

The first part was the most important part of the plan. If the Rockets captured the Raikou, it'll be all over. Fortunately, it looked like the Masterball in the cart of Pokeballs was hard to find.

After she was sure that her Pokemon was ready, she dashed over to the cart and the Rockets searching through it. Her sudden appearance startled the two grunts enough for her to knock it over and send the capturing devices all over the place.

The Masterball had to be destroyed before the Rockets could find it in the newly formed mess. And the only way she could guarantee that was if she knew where it was and get to it before they knew what was happening. That's why Daybreak's eyes were glowing. She was using Future Sight to pinpoint the exact location of the Masterball right after Piney knocked over the cart and sent it flying. And once she found it, she smashed it into smithereens with a strong psychic attack.

“NOOOO!” One of the Rockets ran over to the remains and picked it up in disbelief. “Don't you know how much that was worth?! Who are you anyway?!”

“That's not important.” Piney grabbed a Pokeball and flung it at a grunt trying to tackle her from behind. It didn't capture him, but it knocked him unconscious and sprawling on the ground. Pokeballs were hard stuff.

“And I don't think it was worth more than seeing your expression on your face! Keep up the good work!” She kicked the behind of the Rocket already on the ground. Why she was joking in battle, she had no idea. But it was very clear that although she had knocked out two grunts, there were twenty-four more fuming at the girl that was messing with their plans.

Part two was simpler. Beckoning Daybreak to her side, she faced the Rockets and pointed at them.

“Now, use a Rain Dance over them!”

Silence. She glanced down at her Espeon, who gave her a blank stare in response. A stare that told her that she didn't know such a move, in a very irritated way.

“Oh, you don't? I thought you did for sure...” Piney rubbed the back of her head in confusion. Maybe the sleeping spores did more to her than just knock her out. Well that's alright. She'd just have to do something else.

The Rockets were just about to dogpile the trainer, but she pushed one aside and ran towards a building. “I'll be right back! Distract them for a bit, kay?”

Daybreak gaped at the sudden exit of her human. This was not part of the plan. Then again, her lack of Rain Dance wasn't part of the plan either. She should have told her that she didn't know that before they went into action.

She trusted her though, whatever she ran off to do. Piney wasn't a stupid human unlike these Rockets.

The Espeon had to get the attention of the grunts that started to run after her. She jolted their mind with a small Psychic, giving them a headache and causing them to turn to face her. Now she was the center of attention as they all jumped and tried to bind her in ropes or knock her out.

“Watch where you're going!”
“You watch it!”
“Ow! Who stepped on my hand!”
“Whoever touched me is going to get it!”

If she was facing only one or two Rockets, they might have had a chance. But they all got in each other's way when two dozen people reached for the same target. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't too hard to stay out of their hands when they were falling over and stepping on someone's foot.

And then she felt the light drizzle of water on her that turned into a downpour...

“Ha! Take this!” Piney ran into the commotion, carrying a long hose that spewed water over everyone. It wasn't quite like a rain storm, but it'll do for this case.

The Rockets were confused as to why she was making them wet. They didn't particularly care for her reason though. She was back, and soon to be in their mercy. All the grunts lunged at her, only to be tripped over by the hose.

“Push them into the Raikou!” She shouted at her Espeon before starting to do so. The officer wasn't quite strong enough to lift the bodies up and throw them into the net, but she had enough strength to knock them forward when they stood up.

Now it was Daybreak's turn to be confused. Why did her trainer want her to do that? And why did she have that hose anyway?

Then she saw. Water was a good conductor of electricity, and the Rockets were soaked thoroughly with it. When they bumped into the Raikou, the net wasn't strong enough to absorb the electricity that flowed from his body to the wet ones outside. No doubt that the shock was painful and will leave the grunts out of it for a really long time.

It took a while, but the two of them manage to shove every Rocket into the Raikou and electrocute them. Maybe that was unnecessarily cruel, but Piney told herself that they did put her to sleep for several days. And the shock would hurt less than the psychic torment Daybreak would've given them, if she left her alone.

Now that the captors were dealt with, she had to free the legendary beast. Easier said than done. She tried not to get some water on her, but she did during the battle, and now she couldn't touch the net without a nasty Thundershock.

Piney searched through the limp bodies and found what she was looking for. Dry rubber gloves and a switchblade. She slipped on the gloves and ran over to the captured Pokemon without hesitation.

The Raikou growled and attempted to zap the strange human. She jumped back at the sudden bolt of lightning, but it was blocked by a quick Light Screen made by Daybreak.

“Thanks.” She said to her and approached the grouchy Pokemon again. He tried to shock her again, but thanks to another Light Screen, she remained unharmed as she cut through the wires with the knife.

As the hole in the net became bigger, the girl had a feeling that the Raikou realized what she was doing, because he stopped attacking her. He even bit the wires in an attempt to help her cut it but ended up being stabbed by the barbs.

“Almost... there...” Piney muttered as she proceeded to cut the last strand binding him to the ground. Then she stopped.

She still had the Pokeball that the counselors gave to her. She could catch the weakened Raikou right now, if she wanted to. He was a legendary Pokemon, a powerful Pokemon, he could help her loads in her job...

She cut herself off before her imagination went to far. No matter the benefits, she just couldn't imagine any legendary Pokemon under her control. They were born to run free, and she couldn't take that from him because she was lucky and stumbled upon him like this. And she doubt that he would listen to her, since she didn't even have any badges.

Biting her lip, Piney resumed cutting the last wire. Before she knew it, the cord was cut and the Raikou stood up, shaking the remains of the net off him. She fished around for something in her bag and drew out a potion, which she sprayed on him and applied the healing salve on his wounds.

“You're welcome.” She said in response to his friendly-like growl. “Now go! Run away before anyone catches you again!”

He didn't need to be reminded twice. The tiger-like Pokemon sprinted off and disappeared into the thick forest.

She was holding her breath as she watched the majestic beast leave her sight. Piney might never see him again. And that fact never really mattered to her. She had Pokemon just as good as him. Who needs more than that?

Flari gasped. It was like the answer to all her dreams, to see a Raikou. She had to help it. There was no question.
She put her rental ratatta on the ground and pointed excitedly.
“Liz! Liz! Hyper fang on the net!” she shouts, waving excitedly.
Liz, the rental ratatta, stared at her.
“Ratta, Rattarat!” (no way am I gonna help another zappy, ungrateful electric type!) she squeaks, turning away in refusal. Her experience with the electrikes the day before had used up all of her newfound maternal emotions of charity.

“Damn it Liz! I haven’t commanded you at all during this whole week!” complained Flari, pointing again with great gusto.
Well, that had been because Flari had been asleep in a cage with her endless nightmares for an entire week, but that was beside the point.
“Chew through the net!” she shouted, beginning to run towards the Raikou, not thinking at all.
Liz glared at Flari.
“Rattat!” (Make Me.)

Flari kept running until she reached the net. Her foot touched it, and she felt exactly how Liz had felt back in the electrike room- she felt like she had been hit with a rock throw.
She shook her head and looked for Liz.
Why wasn’t that ratatta obeying? Why didn’t it trust her? Was it because she hadn’t spent time with it? That was hardly her fault!
“Come on, Liz…” she pleaded, glancing back to the angry Raikou.
She saw the rockets digging through poke balls out of the corner of her eye.
“Fine. Attack the Rockets and give them hell!” she said, exasperated.

Liz grinned. “Ratta!” (now that’s something I’ll do!) and quick attacked the nearest of the idiot rockets, then bit them hard. As they fell to the ground clutching various body parts, she leapt from them to the bag of poke balls and began Flinging them at the net holders. She was having fun now! Revenge was fun, as she had learned at the uniform room, and this was even more fun than that act of rebellion.

Flari, on the other hand was in a pinch now. She wanted to free the Raikou, wanted to very badly. Such an amazing creature shouldn’t be kept! It should run free to make legends and to be watched by all!
She tried to tear at the net, but even the slight shock of the net hurt her hands and prevented her from grabbing the net. She tried to stand up and start pounding the crap out of the rockets holding the net, but the shock she had received from the net had made her legs collapse from under her, and she couldn’t get them to work yet. She wasn’t sure what she could do.

Then she remembered.
Hadn’t the ratatta given her a poke ball?
She scrambled through her bag, stealing a glance at Liz, whose pelting had driven the Rockets to cover their faces with one hand while frantically keeping the net down with their other arm.

Flari felt her fingers brush the poke ball and snatched it out, a few articles of spare clothing spilling halfway out the bag. She’d have to stuff them back in later, but she didn’t care now.
She would have prayed that the mystery pokeball had a pokemon who could do the job, but she wasn’t religious.
Instead, she simply took a deep breath and hoped very, very deeply before pressing the button.

Out came a very confused Electrike.
Her name, such as it was, was Electrike 0301. She had been abused, exploited, and utterly demoralized all her life.
The fresh air disoriented her with happy pup memories of the outside, but the electricity being broadcast from the Raikou woke her up.
The charge in the air reminded her of the long hours in the Big Room of Wires, but it was different. In the room, they had forced her to give them her power. Here, with the Raikou, she was GETTING power. It felt wonderful.

Flari couldn’t believe her luck. Using an electric pokemon to help deal with a legendary electric pokemon? It was Perfect!
“Hello there” she said to her first non-rental pokemon.

0301 snarled. A Human! Humans were scary and bad, very bad. All they had ever done was beat her and force her into the wire machine! This one was not a blackshirt, but why shouldn’t all humans be the same?!

The pokemon looked positively abused. It showed all the signs- aggression, fear, and bruises. Lots of bruises.
“Look. I don’t know what happened to you…” she said furtively, glancing at the rockets. They seemed to still be occupied with the vicious little rental ratatta, though she seemed to have used up most of the balls in the bag at this poing.
“But I need your help. I want to free this Raikou, but I cant get at the net.” She points to the net, hoping to nothing in particular that the Electrike understood her.
“I need you to draw the electricity so I can free him, okay?” she said, fingers crossed behind her back.

0301 thought for a moment. The Human was speaking, but she was pointing at the Raikou. She smelled horrible, but not cruel, and she seemed not to like the blackshirts.
0301 put two and two together.
Whatever the human wanted to do, she wanted to help the great electric pokemon, and she wanted help.
Well, that was all right with 0301, she supposed. She began to walk onto the net. With each step, she felt better and better, her fur shimmering with static and her eyes glittering.
She felt powerful, and she saw that the rockets around the net were trying to attack the new human, albeit awkwardly while fending off the stream of pokeballs thrown by the angry tagged ratatta.
They were Rockets, and they weren’t new like this human. No, she knew them. She knew their scent. She knew how their hands felt as they strapped on the wires, how their voices sounded as they mocked her. How their whips felt as they lashed her.
She wouldn’t let them stop the new human. Not if she had anything to say about it.
She discharged the energy she was collecting from the legendary, and sent it all around her, striking the rockets and stunning them. It was revenge, and it felt good.
“Rike!” (That’s for the wires!) she barked, snarling at the nearest Rocket.

Flari dived for the net, getting out her pocketknife from her bag. In a daring exercise of near self-sacrifice, she crawled under the net. She had no idea why she was so fearless. She had always thought that D-Flari was the fearless side. But maybe it was the thought of such an awe-inspiring creature trapped by such heartless people that motivated her.

She scrambled under the net and went straight for the manacles, attacking the screws with her pocket knife. They unscrewed easily, surprisingly so, and she scurried out of the net before she could get bitten by the toothy thunder tiger.

Flari grabbed the net, kicking a nearby prone Rocket, and began to pull. As the net slid away, 0301 leapt off the net and watched the human.

As soon as it could do so, the Raikou stood up and shook itself.
With a glare at the surrounding rockets and a calculating look at Flari, it began to run.
It had obviously had enough of humans for a while.
As it managed to get outside, a peal of thunder sounded and a bolt of lightning flashed.
And the last thing Flari saw of the legendary was it dashing away through the sky like the wind.
She now had a goal in life- to find and watch the Raikou.

She looked at the electrike at the other side of the crumpled net, and smiled.

After getting caught up on what had happened via a very hard game of charades with Enide, Sienna and her murkrow made their way out to the middle of the camp. Chaos abounded, trainers and pokemon were *everywhere* fighting against the Rockets. But why? Through the fray, Sienna couldn't see what the fuss was all about.
"Come on, Enide." Sienna commanded her murkrow to follow her.

Enide obeyed silently. Something was horrifically wrong, the heaviness of the situation literally cackled in the air like electricity- Were those real sparks she saw? Somewhere in the middle of it all, somepoke was making a whole lot of electricity. The crow pokemon flew through the crowd with ease, diving between trainers fighting Rockets all while making sure she stayed with Sienna.

Sienna had more of a difficult time weaving through the crowd, jumping over fallen Rockets, running straight through fist-fights, and keeping up with her winged friend. It was the running through fist-fights part that hurt her the most. She was going to be covered in black and blue by tomorrow! But that wouldn't get her down. What was waiting for them dead center of the camp would, however.
The duo skidded to a halt, Sienna lifted up her arms to defend herself but was a little delayed because what was in the middle of camp did literally shock her.
Raikou.
Sparks nipped at her skin while one of the Rockets started kicking and punching her away. They were probably thinking 'Man, I love this job.' before Sienna's leg collided with their face. She had taken plenty self-defense classes due to her mother's overprotective nature.

Enide was busy fighting a Rocket as well. They didn't seem to have half a mind to send out their pokemon in their place, if they *had* half a mind or a pokemon to spare. With a quick and powerful Dark Pulse, the murkrow shot the Rocket's worst nightmares right in it's face. He crumpled on the ground like a baby. Enide cackled, diving under the next Rocket's arm. This was fun! Then again, Enide didn't have time to notice someone could get severely injured here.

Sienna wasn't having nearly as much fun as Enide. She was still busy fighting the first Rocket from before. He had landed several good punches to her stomach which *really* hurt. Luckily Enide noticed her trainer's distress and flew quickly above the crowd to help her.
The pair quickly worked their way around Raikou, sustaining burns from the more powerful shocks, but knocking out Rockets one after another. Enide had energy to spare, and didn't mind the burnt feathers and electric shocks. Sienna however did not.
Tears started streaming down her face as the damage to her body set in. Everything just suddenly hurt...and the poor Raikou...She just couldn't take it and pleaded with the bleeding Raikou.
"RAIKOU! Stop it! We're here to help you!" She half screamed as Sienna and Enide took yet another Rocket that had been circled around the legendary pokemon. If the legendary had heard her, he acted like he didn't. The Raikou continued to roar and shock anything around him.
"Enide we have to find a way to take ot all these guys at once. Or at least distract them. This isn't going to work-" She was promptly punched again, and punched back as hard as she could.

Enide's brain worked as fast as it could. There was no way she could knock them all out at once, she was way too tired. Distracting, however could possibly work. A combination of the both was even better.
The murkrow began gathering the electricity Raikou was giving off, and let out as many Thunder Waves at the Rockets as she could. Sienna managed to stay out of the way of most of them, but was still hit once or twice. At this point she didn't care, she had been shocked and burned so many times. The majority of the Rockets were paralyzed or badly shocked now. She then solidified all of the negative energy and feelings around the battlefield in an Ominous Wind. The purple haze swept over anything in the murkrow's range, which was mostly any leftover Rockets.

Now it was up to Sienna to brave taking the net off of Raikou. She did it as quickly as she could, but Raikou was so badly tangled in it, it took all of her energy just to do that.
She fainted just as Raikou was freed.

Kayla was still having the drug-ish feeling after being asleep for so long. At first, she thought she was on her journey; camping out with her pokemon team and onto the next town. Kayla groaned as she rolled over to lie on her back, covering her crusted eyes, feeling the cotton feeling of her mouth. She batted Snookie away as she could feel him digging for sweets again in her pockets but her hand came in contact with iron bars. Startled and confused, she opened her eyes and blearily realized that she wasn’t where she thought she was.

“W-what is going on?” Kayla asked Snookie as he seemed not too worried about their predicament, rubbing her eyes to see better.

Snookie explained the gist of it, mostly him not realizing the seriousness of their capture. It took a few minutes for most of the sleepiness to wear off. “I’ll take you to the candy store when we get out of here alive, Snookie but I am so glad we are safe!”

Gleeful, Snookie, who was back to his Minun form, climbed onto Kayla’s shoulders and went through the door that leads to the outside. Kayla went in search for her bag that the rockets must have taken from her in the capture. Luckily, it was storage in the next room along with the other trainers stuff.

After making sure all her pokeballs and supplies were still there, Kayla went to the last remaining door, hoping it would lead to an exit but as it turns out…it sure as hell, was not.

The moment Kayla entered the room, a mighty roar shook the walls, causing Kayla to stumble a little. The companions placed themselves behind a large crate to obscure them into the shadows before peeking into the room. What she saw made Kayla jaw just dropped as she saw a bunch of Rocket grunts surrounding a very large pokemon of some kind. She had never seen such a pokemon before but no creature should be treated as if it was a non-living thing; cargo. Luckily, the rockets did not notice Kayla or Snookie for they were trying to keep the electric pokemon from breaking out of the netting whereas two of the grunts were rummaging through crates of Pokeballs.

Pulling out her pokedex, Kayla directed the scanner at the large electric pokemon, while Minun!Snookie climbed onto Kayla’s to get a better look at the curious yet angry creature.

Raikoi, the thunder dog. Raikou has been rumored to live deep in the mountains. This pokemon races across the land while barking a cry that sounds like crashing thunder. Some researchers say that Raikou say that it was just a myth but there were evidence of its existence.

“Oh my god, Raikou…” Kayla looked up from her pokedex in total shock.

The electric pokemon, Raikou, roared in anger as it tried to get on its feet and send a strong surge of electricity to barbeque the grunts. However, the grunts tighten the netting, which absorbed all that power, before Raikou gave up, growling menacingly. The very state Raikou was in was appalling. He looked like he was under that netting for days if not a week, who knows! Every attempt of getting out of the netting exhaust the electric dog as Raikou pants heavily. Every time one of the Rocket jabbed the pokemon with a rubber-covered pole or kicked, it would growl and attempt to snap or lunge at them but the web had him pinned tightly. It was evident that the only revenge the legendary could get was the minor shocks it could manage at his captors.

“Have you found a Masterball yet?” One of the grunts asked as he observed the other grunts struggling to restrain Raikou. Kayla assumed he was the grunt in charge.

“No, sir! All these stupid trainers have are useless pokeballs and then some but no Masterball.”

“Damnit! There’s got to be one trainer that we captured that have a Masterball! Keep searching! This netting is strong but we can’t take the chance that the net will last!”

“Man! I can’t wait to see the Boss’ face when we bring this pokemon to him. Imagine the reward we will get! I want that 5-month vacation! I am sick of s**t jobs…ow!” Another grunt that was managing one end of the net got shocked by the furious Raikou. He kicked through the netting at the electric dog. “You stupid mutt. Let’s see how you behave after a week’s worth of no food after all this. You’ll be singing a different tune…”

Kayla was horrified.

“We got to do something Snookie, but what? We are outnumbered and don’t have a map out of this place, nor do we know if the pokemon will be able to tell the difference between friend and foe…Snookie? Snookie, are you listening to me?” It was than Kayla realized that Snookie was no longer on her shoulders or head anymore.

Oh God No. Kayla thought as she looked around her for Snookie. He didn’t go far but what Kayla saw only made her groan again in dismay.

Apparently, Snookie transformed into the exact replica of the Raikou but only shiny. His lightning bolt tail wagged happily and lowered his front end, signaling that he wanted to play. It was a pure blessing that they were completely hidden from view by several large crates but their presence will be apparent real soon. Raikou!Snookie’s body was already emitting powerful static that made Kayla back away a little from the little bites of shock.

“Snookie! No!” Kayla hissed at Raikou!Snookie but it was no good. Raikou!Snookie bounded over to the trapped Raikou, startling everyone in the room.

“What the hell!”

“How did it escape?”

“You idiot! It’s still in the net! It must have some power to do something like this! It’s going to be worth a fortune!”

It was an understatement to say that chaos erupted. For several seconds, the grunts thought the real Raikou had escaped and was using some special double team.

Raikou!Snookie emitted a happy roar as he chased after several of the grunts, thunder-shocking and biting playfully. All the rockets were running around in panic as Raikou!Snookie chased them. Several of them passed out after being shocked. Other grunts were clinging to their butts or pants as their rear end got bitten or pants torn to shreds. Whereas the rest of the rockets just went for the nearest exit or window.

The real Raikou just stared suspicious and bewildered. It was extremely rare to see another of his kind and especially a shiny one. As weird was it was, the real Raikou was just pleased all the same because it meant a chance of freedom. The Raikou doubled his efforts at the shock-absorbing net to break free now that most of the Rocket grunts were preoccupied with the playful Raikou.

Kayla watched anxiously but with some amusement as Raikou!Snookie caused mayhem. The grunts that were fleeing from the scene did not see Kayla hiding behind a crate, nor did they care.

“Where the hell do you think you filths are doing?” The leader grunt shouted as all the remaining grunts fleed. “Get back here! It’s a stupid trick, it’s not real!”

It was then that Raikou!Snookie pounced at the back of the leader grunt and pinned him to the ground. The last lingering grunt managed to turn onto his back to stare up at the supposed illusion and saw…felt the power of this pokemon and the heavy panting of Raikou!Snookie.

Finally comprehending that it really was a Raikou, a shiny one, which was in this very building. Raikou!Snookie bared his teeth to smile happily but the grunt could only interpret that as menacing.

“H-hey now… Don’t get too hasty. W-we didn’t mean anything by it. It was a j-joke. ” The grunt raised his hands to show he had no weapons and meant no harm.

“It sure as hell doesn’t look like a joke.” Kayla revealed herself to the grunt that was left behind and trapped under Snookie, walking towards them and the true Raikou, who watched in curiosity but warily.

Momentarily forgotten where he was, the grunt glared at Kayla. “How the hell did you get out of your cage?”

“Shouldn’t you be worrying about your situation right now instead of how I escaped?”

Raikou!Snookie looked up from his victim and grinned happily at Kayla, wagging his tail. Kayla smiled at Snookie and petted his head. “Good job, boy.”

As astonishing as it was, to the grunt, that this puny girl was friends with a Raikou, it did not deter him from his plans for the grunt inched one of his hands into his belt and unsheathe a knife, slashing at Raikou!Snookie’s paw.

Raikou!Snookie roared loudly at the sudden pain of his paw and backed off the grunt. Kayla was knocked over at the power of Snookie’s howl of pain.

Taking the open opportunity, the grunt went for the exit but he did not get far at all. Fortunately the cut Snookie had was pretty shallow but angered him, which was a rare occasion. He produced a battle cry and charged after the escaping Rocket.

Kayla was now alone, if you do not count the unconscious rockets, with the real Raikou who was growling quietly as he was not sure if Kayla’s intentions. The trainer got up gingerly and walked up to the trapped pokemon. Raikou growled louder in warning but that was about all he could do since the net had drained most of his energy.

“It’s okay. I am not here to hurt you but help you.” Kayla held out her open hand to the Raikou, who eyed it suspiciously. It felt like time had stopped. Both beings stared at each other, judging the other’s intent before the Raikou looked away with a rumble in his chest as he rested on his paw.

Relieved, Kayla walked catiously up to the net and pulled out a knife. The presence of the weapon startled the pokemon and growled loudly at her. “No! It’s okay! See? I am just cutting the netting so you can get out of there.” True to her words, Kayla worked at every web-strand of the net until it was large enough for the Raikou to break through.

By the time, the Raikou stretched his legs after being under the netting for so long, did Raikou!Snookie came trotting back into the room, limping a little with no stains of blood nor a rocket on his being.

Kayla looked over at Raikou!Snookie. “You okay, buddy? He escaped?”

Snookie growled quietly and nodded his massive head before looking at the real Raikou, who was eyeing Snookie warily too.

In the blink of an eye, Raikou!Snookie transformed back into his original form, a shiny mew and rested on Kayla’s head. Snookie’s paw still had the shallow.

“We will take care of that at the nearest Pokemon Center before we take you to Candy World, okay?”

Snookie smiled sleepily before transforming back into his Minun form and closed his eyes to nap.

Kayla looked back at the Raikou. “Well, I hope you are more careful next time when dealing with humans. I hope to see you again in this life time. Stay safe!” With that, Kayla and the sleeping Minin, walked out of the room, leaving the Raikou to contemplate what just happened.

((I am sorry, Trist...XDDD;;; ))

POKEBALL GO!!
PostPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 11:55 am

Lila finally managed to pull off her human's hoodie without damaging it, and handed it to Claire with a proud flourish. "Snea!" The young woman smiled, taking it from her and stuffing it into her bag which was then promptly slung over her shoulder as the door opened and the pair stepped out.

A pained cry made them freeze in their tracks, as both squinted through the sunlight they hadn't seen in almost a week, and swiftly spotted the commotion in the middle of the camp. Claire inhaled sharply. "Raikou," she said breathlessly. How dare they. How dare they. They'd wanted her to come to the camp, had specifically sent her here - only to do this to her and poor Lila, and for what? Was she disposable, like all the others? No, no; she wasn't, and she would show them how much their mistake would cost them. It was a vile, disorganized group of idiots in this region, clearly; sending grunts to do what a superior should be doing? Ugh.

This track of thought spanned but a moment, as violet eyes narrowed and assessed the situation in the same length of time. "Lila," she said in a commanding voice, eyes never leaving the group. "It's still a little... hot out, isn't it? They look like they could be cooled off a bit, don't you think so?"

Sensing her human's tone and intentions, a malicious grin spread across the dark-type's face. "Sneasel..." A pale mist formed between her lengthy claws as she spread them, agitating it by swirling the miniature scythes around before she placed one foot back. She cranked her arms back before forcefully hurling the icy attack towards the Rockets, blanketing them in a thick blizzard attack that whipped sharp winds around them, freezing them to the bone.

While Lila kept up the blizzard attack, Claire glanced to the side, spotting the two grunts that had been digging through a cart, but had since stopped to stare at her. She smirked and in an instant had dashed over and tipped the cart over, spilling the contents towards the pair. She quickly righted it though and shoved the cart towards them but yanked it back before it could touch them, but got the desired reaction - both backed up, and one stepped on a pokeball or two and swiftly went down. The other instinctively looked down at his fallen comrade and it was then that Claire struck, slamming the cart into his upper legs, causing him to fall face-first into the metal container on wheels. She smirked as the other stumbled to get up and she quickly swung the cart around, snagging him in the back of the knees with a carefully aimed and tilted hit, and he toppled in on top of the other. A double-groan floated up from inside the cart.

Turning it, she raced towards the half-frozen group and knocked as many as she could into the cart, ignoring how hard it was to push after a few more. Those that didn't fit or didn't get rammed into either jumped or were flung to the side, and once full, the violet-eyed Rocket chuckled as she pushed the cart swiftly into the building, slamming the door closed behind it. She turned quickly, strands of dark hair falling into her face, jaw set and eyes full of determination and purpose. "Rain dance!"

"Sneasel!" Lila shouted as she flung her claws skyward, a dark cloud quickly forming over the remainder of the Rockets before it released its cold bounty on top of them, soaking them all the way through to their R-patterned undergarments. Claire grabbed an extra net one of them had dropped, and twirled it into a small rope, rolling it between her hands.

"Now, let's round up the strays," suggested the young woman with a vindictive glint in her eye, whipping the net-rope onto the ground, pleased at the snapping sound it made. Lila grinned maliciously again as she shot off to the side, slashing her claws threateningly at the Rockets and herding them like sheep towards her trainer who was doing the same, although she wasn't afraid to whip them with the net. They deserved it, and so much more for doing this to all of them, and especially to the Raikou who was suffering more than any of them had over the week. "Now!" Claire yelled, unfurling the net in one smooth movement and flinging it over the shivering, drenched Rockets. Half of them tripped and fell, the others trying to get out before they were trapped, but the woman was too swift, running over and knotting the net in several strategic places to make it harder for them. She quickly backed up, waving to the dark-type. "Ice beam!"

Smirking, Lila steadied herself and lowered her head, the gem on her forehead glowing before a ball of pale light formed in front of it, but it quickly swelled as she sent it hurtling towards the group, and in an instant they were all thoroughly frozen together. They could still breathe, of course, although it might be a bit hard for some. No matter.

That taken care of, the pair turned towards the captive Raikou, who was still trying to shock his way out of the net, to no avail. The dark-haired young woman lowered a hand, stroking her black companion. "Good job. Now, metal claw. Be careful."

Lila's claws glinted in the sunlight, taking on a more metallic sheen all of a sudden, and she darted around the Raikou, quickly slashing the net into pieces. She was about to work on the shackles when he suddenly stood - or tried, anyway, but he stumbled and fell back down with an enraged and pained roar. His electricity freed from the net, he sent thunderbolts shooting everywhere around him. Claire grabbed Lila and ducked, but the dark-type quickly struggled free from her trainer's grip and jumped in front of the legendary, snarling viciously into his face.

The Raikou jerked his head back, the electric attacks stopping suddenly as he blinked, quite confused. This lasted merely a moment before his eyebrows furrowed and he growled before roaring into the Sneasel's face, but she only shut her eyes tightly and braced herself, staying rooted to her spot. Golden eyes opened into a vicious glare when he'd finished and she snarled into his face again, as long and as loud as her small body could manage. The electric-type flicked his ears back then, glaring at her with suspicious orange eyes as her claws took on that odd sheen again, and she walked over and began slashing at the shackles that held him down. Claire merely watched, very surprised at the mini I-can-be-louder-than-you contest the two seemed to have. She knew it wasn't like that, but they'd communicated somehow, and it seemed that Lila had convinced the Raikou of something. What it was, she wasn't quite sure.

The dark-type worked on the shackles but after several minutes, she gave up with a tired sigh and flopped onto her rear. "Sneasel..." Claire smiled gently as she dropped to her knees and hugged Lila. "Nice try, girl. We just need to find the keys or something.." But she hadn't any idea where the keys to the shackles were. She stood up and looked at the frozen Rockets, and ignored the pounding coming from inside the building where she'd dumped the rest of them. What to do, what to do? She looked down at the Raikou who was still staring at her expectantly with intelligent orange eyes, and the woman held her hands out apologetically. "The shackles are too hard for us to break, and one of the Rockets probably has the keys.. It'd take forever to find them, and we don't have time! We need to free you before they get out, or before more people come. Otherwise..." She didn't want to think about what would happen to the poor legendary then. Glancing down, she expected to see her sneasel thinking too, but the dark-type was gone. Claire spun around in a confused circle, looking for the missing pokemon. "Lila? Where'd you g..oh... oh, my.."

The Raikou had been surrounded by a bright red light, and swiftly disappeared from sight into a Masterball that laid on the ground.

"Sneasel!!" The dark-type said happily, throwing her claws in the air. Success! Her idea had worked! He was free from the shackles now! She snatched up the masterball and rushed over to her human, grinning gleefully as she pressed the ball into the outstretched hand. "Snea!"

Violet eyes as wide as the masterball in her hand, Claire stared at it for a few moments before quickly stuffing it into her bag. "Oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap! That wasn't what I had in mind, Lila! ..oh well, not much we can do about it now.. At least we can bring him somewhere to heal him; I don't have any potions in my bag, anyway..
