Shandrel took her ease at the bar, really one of her favorite places. she stayed in a back corner, watching, as she always did. But then, not many noticed her really.

Pen had walked in to find a Waffle laying on the couch out side of the Boss's door. 'Looks like I missed something' turning to the sound of cracking wood.
'A little training couldn't hurt.' Shoving her hands in her pockets she brought out her weapon. Now in her open hands was a black pair of a type of brass knuckles. Except where there would be a flat blunt edge was a raised knife blade. The blades stood an inch tall from Pen's knuckles and the tips came to an end on the outside of her hand.
"Hope these will these due" Pen said rather tried, she only wished to make an appointment not train at that moment.

Romulus walks up to Shandel.
"I had a feeling he was going to be leaving us." He says unamused by the turn of events.

Shandrel looked up and smiled, indicating an empty chair.
" Well, such arrogance will gain one no friends. " She smiled slightly as if with a private joke.
" Do you feel that way about me?" Her expression telling him it was a joke.

Waffle woke up from the couch in her room, in much less of a daze and no longer with a headache. She got up to eat some vanilla ice cream.
After she was finished, she looked around, picked up her crystal and towel/blanket thingy and left.
On the way out, the building shook a bit.
Of course. The dojo.
Waffle walked down the stairs, careful to not slip down the steps like she did most of the time, slid open the dojo's door and walked in. Yureiyasha was nowhere to be seen, but Pen was practicing away with which to Waffle looked like a set of katars.

"Maybe," Romulus said smiling, looking back as he walked away. "Sorry, but I have to be going. I have somewhere to be."

Shandrel smiled and winked, going back to her solitude. She pulled out her MP3 player and placed the ear bud in one ear, enjoying two of her favorite past times, combined, music and drinking.

Pen heard the door open and stopped her reluctant blows at the dummy in front of her. She turned to find Waffle in the doorway and gave a respectful nod.
"Good afternoon," Pen said between breaths as she began to stop for the night.

Waffle looked back, smiled, and replied: "Likewise, good afternoon."
Then, she walked further into the room.
Waffle's gaze turned to a particular wooden dummy in the center of the dojo, and she started to have a wide grin creep across her face. She began to focus energy into the crystal, and it responded back with an orange glow. At this point her entire right arm had that same-hued glow to it. A beam shot from her palm and managed to make a decent-sized crater inside of the doll-like dummy.
"Hm. I could use more studies. Blast spells just aren't my thing, I guess."

"Certainly I can't tell", Pen had a surprised expression as she looked to where the dummy was and the crater now reside.
Turning back to Waffle with now a more relieved and tried face, she bent down to retrieve her coat from the floor. Rising from the floor she put the katars in her pockets and put the worn out coat back on.
"Was that anyone in particular?"

Waffle turned back to Pen.
"No. None in particular. I targeted it because it was out in the open. I wouldn't want test-dummy shrapnel flying where the other people were, would I?"
Waffle looked down at a chunk of wood that was originally part of the test-dummy's leg.
"Plus, it's wooden. If it was metal, that would be.....a different story."

"No, I guess you wouldn't", Pen didn't mean anything by the earlier comment just wondered if the demonstration had a deeper meaning.
"I'm glad that it was wood then," Pen then gave a sigh and rubbed the back of her sore neck.
"So what spells are you good at?" Pen thinking if that was below Waffle's par, than the spells she was good at would be a sight to see.

Waffle tilted her head a bit. She could tell that Pen wanted to know more. Most people in HQ were open books to Waffle anyways.
She replied, "Hm. Some spells in particular that I've used a lot....that I can use here include higher-level arcane magic."
Waffle's tone changed a bit as if it was something she had to repeat again and again, even though it wasn't.
"Y'know, like.....freezing or scorching people, zapping them with electricity, things like that."
"There are a few that I can't use around here, an obvious one being Fire-based magic for obvious reasons, because they are too destructive in their nature"
