Ren looked around and tried to listen for any noises.
"Heyhey, what's happening? What's a frontal base?"

Bao refused to finish the sentence. He turned to Ren.
"Ren, these people who are combing the forest act on whims and orders alone. They're very dangerous and you'll have to listen to my instructions if you want to get back to your family safely.
From the moment I planned your kidnapping I also planned when you would be released back.
Come, will you follow?"

Kansou walked up behind Ren, as if urging him along.

Ren was going to say no, thinking he could somehow manage on his own, but Kansou's movement behind him suggested to go along for now.
"Ok."
Ren moved forward and he was ready to follow where they would lead.

As thick as the forest was, Bao could hear people advancing through the trees' highest branches. They seemed persistent on this specific location for some reason. Maybe it was because this was the part of the land where "Black Project" 's satellites couldn't pick up a signal from anything in this area.
Refuto and Umen were labeled as "Scorp Unit" by the Black Project Org. They were scheduled for maintenance yesterday at BP's (Black Project's) frontal base and were no where to be found. A search and seizure was probably ordered around the surrounding area. It was lucky timing for BP to find their exact location at this time of night. Visual confirmation by the pursuers wasn't made yet.
But was it luck..? Or is Kansou already planning something behind my back. I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Bao signaled for silence as he raised his index finger to the opera mask's mouth.
He then signaled for Refuto to go scout ahead of them. No orders were given to Umen, so he would follow the group until an order was given.
Bao motioned for Ren and Kansou to follow as he took off into the darkness of the trees. Refuto darted ahead of the group in silence as Umen waited behind for Ren and Kansou to start moving.

Ren also noticed the noises above them before Refuto and everyone else started to move. He was rested enough to at least run normally for now, but he wouldn't have enough chakra to do any kind of attack. Ren followed behind Bao when he started to move out.

Kansou looked Umen down before trailing Ren. She was ready to carry him if the situation became more heated.

An hour had passed of them dodging visual confirmation inside the forest. They hadn't left the area of trees where the satellites couldn't detect them. The searching team from the frontal base concluded that there was no one here and left the area. Refuto and Umen had left the three to make a second search for any remaining scouts in the area.They were standing in a cramped area surrounded by a group of trees.
"Hmm..."

Kansou was crouched on a nearby rock. The question was directed at Bao.

"They've been switching around their schedules recently because of "Scorp Unit's" disappearance. They must be thinking someone from the inside is responsible. Which can explain the random timing of procedures."
Bao looked to Ren,
"Can you hold out from the fatigue anymore, Ren?"

"Yea I can handle myself. I'm use to running for long periods of time."
Ren wasn't fully lying on what he said. He was capable of running long distances but he was still tired and fatigued from yesterday. There were too many questions going through his head right now for him to ask what was going on.

She rose slowly.

Refuto and Umen came back and peered through the trees that Bao and the others were surrounded by."Coast is clear. They moved out" Refuto stated.Bao looked at Refuto and Umen sideways before looking at Kansou,
"You know my policy."
He then looked to Ren.
"I'm going to be releasing you back after a day has gone by. You'll be staying with us until then."

Kansou smiled and leaped off the rock, calling out to Ren as she loped away.
"Be a good boy while I'm gone!"
