Nirok lurked near the buffet tables, uncertain as to what he was really doing here. It seemed a very long time since he had last attended a social event such as this. The Goblin King had been a bit of a recluse of late and not a lot had been going on at the castle. He was somewhat surprised by the sheer number of underground creatures present, some representing races he had never even seen.

He stared at the ground sadly. As a goblin he was not exactly the best at socialising, apart from anything else people usually tended to assume he would be too stupid to have anything interesting to say. He was partly at fault also, he never sought out company, the last person he had spoken to might well have been Periwinkle, the dryad, and he had not been seen at court for quite some time.

"Ah well, at least the food is good." He sighed to himself.

Arion chuckled, then gave Gabriel a bow. The poor thing had hunched over too much to continue teasing. Besides which, they had arrived at the tables by this time.

"Well, then, what would my lady and angel like? I'd be glad to clear the way to get the both of you some refreshments."

~Hah.~

Arion gave the flute at his side a glare.

~Haha. You couldn't carry refreshments for yourself, much less two others.~

"Don't start." Arion muttered, now putting a finger into one end of the instrument in a vain attempt to shut its voice out of his head.

~I shan't, for I'd like to see you try.~

Arion glared at it, then looked up at his company, hoping that the appearance of Raguel had hidden the fact that he'd started arguing with a mute, inanimate object.

Cielen glanced at Calibe, rolling his eyes at the comment. "I'll use you all I want, Calibe." He responded quite nicely, boredly waving Calibe off as the other went to try and comfort his brother. "Hmph." He was so underappreciated, and yet so selfless and with so many relationship issues. He could hardly stand it.

He glanced up as Calentze arrived and wrapped an arm around him, relaxing into the other's embrace. At least Calentze wasn't retarded enough to not have noticed Cielen was in dire need of at least some romantic attention. The Unicorn sighed, turning around to face Calentze. "Talon managed to get to you that much?" He asked dryly, well aware that Cal would have flown off by now if it weren't for their son's badgering.

xxx

Locke's eyes landed on Calibe as the other came over and he quickly glanced away, looking conflicted. He cared about Calibe, really, but he could hardly take it when thoughts about Nadeshiko having an arranged marriage touched his mind. It was frustrating to say the least; he and Calibe had not had an arranged marriage, but then again, they'd hardly known eachother when Locke had bonded to him.

"But Nadeshiko..." Locke sounded strained as he mentioned their daughter again. He didn't really care about the ball at all. He'd only gone because Calibe had begged and cajoled, and now he was here, unhappy. He would much rather have spent a quiet evening with Calibe. All these people around made him feel skittish.

xxx

Talon grinned lazily as he watched Calibe and his mother, rolling his eyes at his father. The smack was half-expected, but still rather annoying.

"Oh, yeah, old man?" Tal muttered under his breath, watching Calentze stalk away to embrace Cielen. Well, it just so happened that he'd stolen one of Calentze's spell books. He was going to make this a night to remember, especially now.

He was self-taught, and watching his unguarded father had also helped out. He muttered incantations softly under his breath, watching Calentze with a dark expression. Someone was about to become a whole lot more -- embarrassingly, for Calentze -- affectionate.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 9:12 am

"Sure you will." Calibe answered, dismissing Cielen with a wave of his pale hand. Like he needed his bonded's brother using him, he was tolerant of Cielen, it didn't mean he liked him though. Though his bonded looking away from him as soon as he saw him was slightly disheartening. He gripped his hands gently, silently urging him to look at him. He loved his bonded, but he also loved his daughter as well, enough to want to find someone who would care for her and protect her. He didn't trust her to chose effectively. Much like Locke, she was slightly...docile and scatter-brained.

"Hush." He pressed a gloved finger to Locke's lips in a silencing motion, shaking his head a little, before shifting to run that finger along his bottom lip, before letting it drop. "Let us not talk about such things now, Locke. Would you like me to get you some tea? or even a cake?"

xxxx

"No." Calentze lied huffily, staring at Cielen when the other turned to face him, raising an eyebrow with a questioning look at the other. "I just love seeing you so much." He muttered with a sort of little grin, clearly joking, which was a rarity in itself for Calentze. He was extra srs.

Then, he felt weird. Warm, fuzzy, and the air tasted of the tang of magic. Oh ********, no he had not. He turned to look at Talon, glowering, before he snuggling Cielen closer, feeling unbelievably happy and gooey. Ugh. Gooey. What the hell, Talon?! He thought inwardly, having turned and glared at the other if he could, instead all he could do was stare at Cielen with a disgustingly soppy expression.

"I love yoooou~" Talon. was. ********. dead.

xxxx

"Get lost~!" Macy hissed, side-stepping the other's movement, only to feel slightly stupid for doing so when Zubi aimed for his own pocket instead. He stopped and stared at the other, his gaze flickering to Raguel. So, was he really getting married? Really? It felt silly, but then Raguel had never done anything that followed anyone's expectations of things. He felt sour again. Like the world shouldn't be happy if he wasn't, but then he knew he was just pitying himself more then he had pitied anything before. It was stupid. But it was what was happening.

"It's best...that you don't take my harsh words to heart, Bayne. I don't mean half of them." He commented, flicking his red and silver gaze at the nervous elf. When was he finally going to faint from it?

"Maaaaacy~!" Came a coo in his ear as two kimono-sleeve covered arms wrapped around his chest. He stiffened, ears flat in distaste at who was clinging onto him. Ugh. Why wasn;t he back in his forest, playing around with the grumpy b*****d he lived with.

"Let me go, Azure." He hissed, standing stock still, wondering why the little tart was clinging to him like this. "I said you could stay in my forests if you made sure to leave me the heck alone."

"Buuuuut.." The kitsune pouted. "It's funny to see you all pissed off and stampy, like a mule."

"I AM NOT A MULE!" He bellowed, before stomping away and over to Clay, who he vaguely remembered from when he was in court, hoping sincerely that Azure and Zubi could go tart off of eachother and not bug him. "Hi." He greeted the taller man, giving him a look that portrayed his need to be distracted and amused. Oh ho.

xxxx

"Obviously~! and ye~! She's soooo cute!" Nadeshiko chimed as she darted over to one of the cake-laden long tables. Peering along it before grabbing the foundant cake. She held Phantasma carefully with one arm, the other one balancing the plate with the two spoons on it. She went over to one of the delicately decorated tables and sat down, shifting to hold Phantasma carefully in her lap, letting the tot lean back against her torso for support while one arm held across her chest, holding her steady. Though she made sure to sit somewhere where Gunner and Illy could keep an eye on her and their child.

"It's caaaake~ Tasma~!" She cooed, digging into the cake with a spoon, spooning up a little of the gooey chocolate middle before holding it infront of Phantasma's mouth, to see if she would like to try some.

xxxx

Cake, fruit, pastries, tea, coffee, fruit juice. It was all here, her kitchen staff were outstanding! She peered around the table, having taken a break from teasing Gabrielle, though she still stood with the two males. She picked up a cherry from one of the fruit bowls and broke the stalk of it off, pressing the small red fruit to her lips. "Hmmmm?" She asked, turning to face Raguel, the fruit still against her mouth. Taken it into her mouth would seem silly, but removing it would seem disgusting and rude. She took it in and chewed and swallowed, small pip and all, before answering him with a curtsey.

"I haven't seen you for nigh on two years and you greet me drunk! Really, Raguel! Have you no shame at all?" She chastised with a grin, hands on her hips. She hadn't spoken to him much personally, but she knew of him from Macy. "Well, I will certainly attend, though when it comes to hiring services, it is best to consult with your betrothed on the issue, silly~~!" She giggled.

Illy leaned over gently tickling his son till Nathan let go of Gunner's hair and his mate's face wasn't stuck pressed again his son's slightly chubby belly. "Mmmm, I'll clean it if you do," he muttered, leaning up to give Gunner's ear a gentle quick suck. "And I wish I had the camera to snap a few pictures," he muttered. "It is bounded to be quite cute."

"It could be," Illy mussed. "Father doesn't spring to mind warm and cuddly. " He hummed slightly as they walked. "If Macy hadn't left I was going to call Father and see if he could entertain our him." The polite way of saying kidnap and detain.

"Just a smidgen. I rather not have her up past her bed time.” He looked at Nade smiling at the nickname. “Tasma, that is rather pretty.”

Raguel just grinned at Aruru like the dork he was. Yeah, he was definately at least buzzing on some good hops. But at least he wasn't flirting with anything with a pulse. "No, not really. I haven't had shame for a long time! And of course I'm drunk Ru Ru! It's a party ain't it? And besides, if I wasn't drunk or trying to get up your skirt you'd never recognize me!"

He just smiled and wrapped a brotherly arm around her. "Yeah but I couldn't LIVE without your little cake things. I'm sure Fabien won't mind! He's all richy richy and you make good richy richy food stuffs." He popped a cork from one of the rum bottles and took a swig. "So who's your friends? They look.....interesting." He was more looking at the guy talking to his flute, then again he was drunk so maybe he was or maybe he wasn't.

The angel kept his head lowered and his eyes glue to the floor. Surely this had been the reason that he had kept himself to himself and quietly enjoyed the company of other angels. Was he being too sensitive? He hadn't felt like the words had been meant to be hurtful but all the same they stung, especially the ladys words.

"Hmm..?" He replied softly, lifting his head fractionally as he realised he had been asked a question, "Oh.. No no, don't trouble yourself over me, I would only like to enjoy a cup of tea, honestly. I am certain that I shall be able to retrieve this for myself." He spoke up after a moment to process the question he had almost blanked.
The fauns quiet muttering seemed to have gone unnoticed, though he had felt a small wave of irritation roll off Arion. The cause of it, he misinterpreted as the fauns reaction to his own actions and being such poor sport.

He did lift his head a little more as the pirate approached, a vaguely mortified little look crossing his features at the utterly incomprehensible mix of emotion and intent that he gave off.

The dragon merely laughed, pretending to take big gulps of air as his son was coaxed into letting go of his hair.
"Oh you will, my looOOVe?!" Was as far as he got until the drow sucked his ear. That hadn't been expected at all! He flicked his ear, his eyes a little wider than usual for a moment as he peered down at the small male beside him, winding his arm firmly around him once more.

"Just a little? Oh no no, she should be free to enjoy as much delicious sugary goodness as she can, my love! And so should you, my little tyrant!" He laughed, gently jiggling Nathan again, leading Illy over to the laden tables. "I'm not sure where to start! It all looks as good as it sounded, Nade!" He called mirthfully, "What do you think, Nathan? What should we try first?"

Phantasma was as happy as anything being carted around by Nadeshiko, burbling quietly to herself with content. She did avert her huge green eyes up when she heard what had sort of sounded like her name, she was about to voice her confusion at this when she saw another familiar shape! AIR-PLANE!
She giggled and opened her mouth wide, waving one chubby fist around with excitement. Nothing could beat food-time!

The elf merely grinned as the unigon took the bait and dodged his feint, looking delighted when he found a corkscrew.
"A-HAH!" He crooned with delight, making short work of the stopper as last and taking a swig.
"I think you also need a drink, Macy! But Bayne has first dibs! He looks like he's gonna pass out!" He proclaimed before pressing the bottle on the nervous gunner.

Bayne wasn't sure that more drink would really help that much, his nerves had been too much of a jangle for far too many years, but obediently he took a swig or two.. Then a few more.. Maybe he'd keep the bottle for a little while..

Xiomar cocked her head to the side fractionally when she heard the goblins quiet words to himself as she happily helped herself to another savoury twirl thing. She wasn't exactly sure what was in them, but they sure tasted great.

"I'm not sure I've ever seen such an impressive spread that actually tastes as good as it looks!" She replied with an impish grin, quirking an eyebrow at the goblin and holding out her plate, "Have you tried these twirl things? For a twist of pastry, they're surprisingly good!"

Clay we relived that he had arrived when he did and averted what could have been something of a disaster between the half-drow and his youngling ward.
"Hmm, as Lennox has said, I am ensuring nothing unsavoury befalls him during his stay at the palace. His Uncle, I believe has encouraged Lennox to broaden his horizons somewhat. I know that he greatly benefitted from his travels, so it would only be proper for his nephew to do the same." He gave Lennox and encouraging smile and flexed his fingers against his back momentarily.

It still did nothing for his desire to herd Lennox away from Calistina and explain his stern tone. Unfortunately it would be very improper of him, and suspicious if he did such a thing.. He would remember to tell him later on for certain.
"A grump, the Lady says?" He mused, looking back to Calistina, his free hand resting lazily on the pommel of the sword at his hip, "I could only deduct that you have observed this from the previous functions I have attended. All of them I have been assigned to while on duty, my Lady. It would therefore be highly improper of my to partake in refreshments or indeed to dance." He replied, the stern tone he had been carrying waned slightly, and he looked back to Lennox with an amused expression, "Though it seems I find myself only half on duty. I wouldn't think that I was much of a dancer, however, the food and drink I could enjoy this time around. Shall we..?"

He had tried again to politely disengage them from company. He only needed just a moment alone with the young elf! That was all he asked! He wanted to explain his behaviour and his tone and reassure the younglings fears that he was unimpressed with his disappearing act.
It looked like he was cursed however as they were joined by another.
"Ah, Lennox.. It seems we have been graced with another high-standing presence. May I introduce Master Macy Tresquax."
He clenched his jaw briefly thereafter.
"A pleasure to see you once more on less formal, working circumstances." He offered politely through he felt he was about ready to hurl his sword at something.

Arion originally turned to the angel, waiting a reply politely enough. Unfortunately, by the time Gabriel had finally started speaking, the rogue that had walked up had put his arm around the lady. Arion didn't move from his spot, as a matter of fact, he had gone very still, but he glared hard at the pirate. Aruru seemed able to take care of herself, had perhaps already said enough to make Arion think she rather preferred that sort of company, but Arion didn't like this one bit. He just barely managed to keep swallow instinct to keep from lowering his head and stomping a hoof in warning.

"Oh.. No no, don't trouble yourself over me, I would only like to enjoy a cup of tea. . .]

Arion was listening to Gabriel though, the moment the angel mentioned tea, he went over to pour a cup, even while Gabriel protested he could 'retrieve' it himself. ~What is it, a frisbee?~

But he didn't manage not to walk somewhat heavily to the table. He poured the right amount without once looking at what he was doing (he was too busy glaring), but when he whisked the cup up, some spilled out onto his hand.

He only diverted his eyes long enough to hand the cup to Gabriel. "Please, it is the smallest favor for the discomfort I have caused you." Crisp. He was back to perfectly proper. "They were idle words, nothing more."

Because, frankly, having one of those said sorts walk right up after the angel had seemed to take him so seriously was just too much. Arion was sure it wasn't anything short of ungentlemanly, but a part of him was glad Raquel had put an arm around Aruru and not Gabriel.

Not to say it lightened how he felt about it. He turned now to Raquel, back to Gabriel so that he was in between him and the pirate. "I am Arion." You touch her improperly, I swear that grin will be clear off your face. "Perhaps you should find your betrothed to consult with her." I doubt she's couth enough to care you flirt, but perhaps your grubby hands will leave the lady then. He may not have said the words-between-the-lines, but Raquel wouldn't be living his unsavory life for long if he couldn't at least catch the idea of them.

Locke gazed up to Calibe with a small frown, blinking as he diverted the subject yet again and sighing. He was going to need some help on this one, he had a feeling. He may have been docile and not very bright at the best of times, but he knew that the only way to keep his daughter truly safe was to get someone else to intervene with something like a spell. Maybe Calentze could help him.

Locke knew enough to know that he didn't support this idea of arranged marriage. Nadeshiko was much too innocent to be caught up in something like that. He sighed, shrugging slightly to Calibe. "I'm fine." He replied softly, although his expression was very apparently wounded.

xxx

Talon watched his father, a smirk clear on his face. He knew Calentze was aware of exactly what was happening and it made the Alicorn absolutely gleeful. Torturing his father was definitely his favorite pasttime, and it was especially nice to poke fun at his love life; or lack thereof. Tal was just giving a gift to his mother, after all! Cielen deserved a little open affection, right?

He walked past his parents, laughing loudly for Calentze to hear. Oh, he was never going to hear the end of this, but really, it was so worth it.

xxx

Cielen stared at Calentze, raising a brow at the joke. "Thanks." He replied dryly, rolling his eyes. He didn't notice as Tal cast the spell on his bonded. He was about to break away from Calentze to find something entertaining to do when he noticed it.

Calentze was staring at him with a look that was very clearly identifiable as not only love, but a soppy kind of obsession. The Unicorn froze, gaping at the words that came out of the Dark Pegasus's lips. "C--Calentze?" Cielen stuttered, too shocked to do much else. His expression darkened at the thought that this might just be another joke of some sort. Calentze wasn't at all affection and Cielen had learned to get used to it.

"Just shut up, okay?"

Nirok looked up suprisedly, almost throwing his drink over himself.

"I... I'm sorry I didn't realise anyone was listening to me. Um..."

He tried to compose himself, to think of something witty or interesting to say but it clearly wasn't happening. Instead he settled for a confused smile and taking one of the little pastry twists proffered.

"Mmmf" He said over a mouthful of pastry "this is good. The food in Goblin city isn't usually up to much. Mostly dodgy takeaways, we goblins aren't really ones for haute cuisine."

He stared at the food. If only he were a better conversationalist, had something more to say. Instead of just staring like an idiot. He thought.

"Ummm so what is it that you ... do?" He berated himself internally for asking such a pathetic question, most of the guests here were nobles, they didn't do anything.

"Let's go home then." Calibe sighed, cupping Locke's cheeks with both hands before pressing a kiss to his lips. He wasn't going to win this one, was he? Locke was miserable and nothing was cheering him up at all. He broke the kiss before standing up, flicking his gaze once to Nadeshiko, before he looked down to Locke again, holding out a hand for him to take.

"Come on." He didn't really want to go, but Locke was more important then socialising and parties. Now he had to find some way to get on the other's good side again and cheer him up. A night in maybe.

xxxx

Calentze still gazed at Cielen with an adoring expression, not even being able to react to Talon waltzing past them while laughing. Inside though, he was raging, cursing Talon with every profanity he knew and a few he made up on the spur of a the moment. Talon was dead when this wore off. Oh yes. But damn, what was he spouting?

"Yes, love?" UGH!

Calentze smiled at his bonded, pressing a kiss to his lips while cuddling up to Cielen more. He smiled at Cielen's command and nodded. "Of coarse, darling."

Oh, amusement. The goblin was looking less then impressed about him being here, talking to him and his...ward? Macy turned a curious gaze to Lennox, hands on hips as he studied the other. Clay was teaching him the social hierarchy was he? Hmm. Good. Another thing to enjoy secretly. Though why was he annoyed? Hmm.

"As to you, though you needn't be so formal with the likes of me. I was much less at you." Oh yes, Macy didn't really treat people with the needed respect, it was what made him so endearing, he supposed. No matter how bitchy or sarcastic he was, people seemed to find him funny. Which he in turn found funny. He was nice really, he just had the social skills of a gnat at points.

"Nice to meet you, Lennox." He greeted with a grin, flicking his hair back over his shoulder, shooting Clay an amused smirk. "Summer project?" He asked, teasing of coarse.

xxxx

Nadeshiko smiled at Illy, nodding. "Her name is big, like mine, so a nickname helps with being affectionate I suppose." She explained, before turning her attention back down to Phantasma, who Nadeshiko now utterly adored. She was so cute!

"Aruru's cooks are the best at cakes~ Macy, and I come here all the time for them and sometimes Uncle Willow and Uncle Keye come too~!" Nadeshiko chirped, placing the 'airplane' in Phantasma's mouth. "Ohnoes! You ate the airplane, Tasma~!" She giggled, taking the spoon out of her mouth once sure the tot had eaten the chocolate, before spooning a little more onto it from her plate, holding it up for her again.

xxxx

"I should kick you out." Aruru chimed with a grin at Raguel, shaking her head and giving him a motheringly stern look at his comment. "I've told you before, Raguel~ that kiss at that party was as far as you will ever get. I am a lady of the court, thus, I must not fraternise with such unsavoury sorts such as yourself~!" She said with a grin, laughing at the arm he flung around her shoulders.

"Well, you and Fabien must come over one day and you can both sample some, just to see if you would like them as part of the wedding. She answered, smiling at Arion and Gabriel. She elbowed him gently in the ribs. "Manners! This is Arion and Gabriel, my newest acquaintances, aren't they darling?" Which was Ru's way of saying 'I am enjoying socialising with them'. She then gently grabbed the wrist of the arm around her shoulder and dropped it from them, smiling at Raguel. "Hands to yourself, Mr. groom-to-be." She commented after Arion had spoke, looking confused at his use of 'her'.

Calistina just smiled as Clay and Lennox both spoke. She could tell the goblin was not wanting his little friend to be around her. Oh that was the fun of the game! Not that she planned to take the game all the way with the young elf, just long enough to make Claymore twitch. Thats when Macy showed up. She smiled with a real smile this time, always trying to get the brat to cheer up.

She had to laugh at his comment about a summer project. Settling for standing near the Horned Stupid Pants she looked at the couple before her. "Oh I was curious myself as to that myself Macy. But apparently Claymore is friends with the boy's uncle and is helping him expand his horizons. And what better place than Jareth's Kingdom. So many creatures from all over do tend to gather here." She gave Macy a soft look, hoping to ease any tendancy to be a prat.

~~~~~
"Aww come on Ru Ru! I'll be a good boy! I promise!" He held up his hand with the rum. "I promise on this bottle of rum that I'll be a good boy at your party." He grinned again at her comment about the kiss and his standing the court. "Aww come on Ru Ru, I use to be a Man of the Court before I became a Man of the Sea. But ah well, I can always remember fondly that time out in the rose bushes."
He looked to the two who had just been introduced then pouted as she took his arm off her. But he recovered his smile quickly and gave a bow to the two. "Hallo there! I'm Raguel, Bo'Sun of the Maddness of Hades! Nice ta meetcha! Hmm...Gabriel....hey you remind me of someone! Now who was it.....OH YEAH!" He was a bit loud at that part but then turned to look over the crowd. "Now where is Mr. Naked Pants...ah there he is! Hey Gabriel! Mana! K'mere! I want ya to meet some people!" He waved over the crowd to the blue male and white male standing near the doorway.
Gabriel blinked as his name was called by a familiar voice. Ever since coming to the surface Mana had insisted they keep in touch with land dwellers and that tended to be either pirates or merchants. "Ah, it seems Raguel is here."
"Oh boy! He's lots of fun! Lets go see what he wants!" The eager child ruler walked over to the group, almost as naked as Raguel had made him out to be wearing only his dark blue velvet wrap. His skin was quite smooth, like a seal, and blue as the ocean. He was decorated with random sea shell jewelry. On his arms and face were tattoos of some sort that occationally glowed. "Good Evening!"
Gabriel joined them shortly after the emperor and nodded. His skin was similar to Manakel's save for the fact he was completely white, even his hair was like milk. He also had the same tattoos on his face and arms. His wrap was black velvet. "Fare Evening to you all."
Raguel looked to Arion and Gabriel with a smile. "This here is Manakel, the Emperior of Atlantis and his Court Mage Gabriel. They are mermen, fishy people." He took another drink from his bottle then turned to the two new arrivals. "Hey Gabriel, this is...well...Gabriel! He reminded me of you!" The pirate smiled at his astounding rum-fueled observation. "Oh Yeah! Manners! This is Arion and this fine lady of excellent cooking skill is Aruru, the hostess of the party!"
Nathan blinked at his mother a slight indignit look at being forced to let go. He like the shinny soft ness of...ooohh! He giggled as his father jiggled him, looking out and cooed again. So many odd multicolor things...maybe they tasted good! He reached out at the cakes, making small gimme motions.
"I do believe he already decided on something," Illy replied picking up a small cake watching his son follow the cake. "I think he wants this one...think it is safe?" He questioned looking at the light confection. “I think it vanilla and strawberry.”
There seemed to be more to the story then what he had heard. Which was understandable really. Clay had been here for a long time, and as Calintina was a Lady of the court they were bound to have a history of some sort. Still, it was terribly queer to think of a goblin and a elf associating so much. Lennox was still perplexed over what sort of elf Calintina was as it was. Lennox looked up at Clay, as he spoke of being only partly on duty. "Ah. I am sorry Clay. I didnt mean to be a bother. I... I could go back---" Lennox began to offer. He had not even considered the fact that Clay might not be able to enjoy the party if he thought he was watching over him. Lennox put forth no resistance to being guided away from the Lady. His purple eyes turned forwards, and he was greeted by...quite the sight.
What...was...that? Lennox found himself staring openly at the Unigon. Master? Macy? Was...was...it a girl? Or a boy? Master meant boy. But Macy seemed like a female name. And...Macy certainly looked female to him. Lennox continued to stare until it was Macy spoke. When he was greeted though, he blinked, much in the same startled matter he had when Calistina had greeted him. It was being spoken to that helped clear his head of the curiousity fuzzing it. "It is nice to meet you too Master Macy" He responded, then paused. "Summer project?" He repeated macy after Calistina chimed in. he glanced between the two, and smiled rather widely. "I suppose yes that is what it is. I think I am only going to be visiting until the leaves begin to turn. I dont want to overstay my visit, and I'm sure Claymore will be feeling a bit of the strain of tending to his duties and watching over me." Lennox turned to smile up at the goblin in a apologetic manner. There was a small opening provided at that moment then, as Calistina would comment on the...different creatures of the kingdom. Lennox nodded his agreeance to the Lady elf, and formed a small smile.
"Oh. That is so very true. I have seen many different types of people since coming to the city. I hope you both would forgive me for asking, but...just what sort of people are you both? I've never seen a elf like you before lady. And master Macy, I'm quite perplexed about who your people may be. I've never read about anyone who your descriptions would fit."
"I'm rather surprised you still have your dress on, Calistina." Macy murmured, though his tone showed he was only kidding. He liked Calistina, he could blot out what she did for a living easily, since she seemed to be so motherly. "His uncle? my, what a nice thing to do, Clay~" He commented to the male, grinning. Lennox certainly was...interesting though. What was he being so critical about?
"Well, if you're only staying for a while make sure to enjoy yourself, Lennox. But please, drop the master thing." He greeted, rolling his eyes a little. It still didn't settle well with him to be treated with formality, but then he had been away from balls and the like for a while, and around sorts such as pirates and the lark.
"My people?" Macy looked perplexed for a moment, before smirking in an amused way. "I'm a halfing. My mother is a Unicorn and my father is a Dragon." He explained. Lennox was nice actually, very polite and Macy found nothing to hate at all. "I suppose there is more Unigon, but that wouldn't mark us as a race, more of a cross-breed."
