"Hmm?" Markis looked up at Sara to where she was sitting. "Would you like to suggest a plan then?"
((Ahhh! One liner! >.< ))

"Simple we do a bit of both." Sara said and smiled. "I can even get the poison into the food, but we keep an archer outside just in case." She motioned with a hand and stood up. "I can turn to mist remember? I could form a hand and put in the packet." Sara said, so far that had been beyond her but it seemed the only way this plan would work. To accentuate her point she turned to mist and then moved back to where she had been sitting before she turned back.

Erik considered the variables. he didn't like the plans he was creating either, but the abilities possessed by Varnis and Sara made the job a little easier. "Very well. Let's try both. Sara, you try poison. Here, I have something that works well for this..." Erik pulled a vial of something out of his cloak's chest pocket. "It's a poison that uses the bloodstream to reach the heart, and stop the heart from beating. No heart, no bloodflow, no life. Varnis, you and I will try the bow and arrow plan. I can keep the guards away by killing them silently, while you wait for the right moment to strike. However, let's try to keep casualties down. We want to disrupt the chain of command, not slay an army. A disorganized army is worse then a dead one, without some kind of leader, they could just as easily kill one another. Even better, the Fire nation will be in an uproar trying to find the assassin, assuming it was an inside job. Even if we fail, should we all escape, fear will be struck into every officer's heart, knowing that an assassin is out there somewhere. A lot of time and manpower will go into trying to find the assassin, as well as guarding the officers who remain. A coordinated strike like this often does more damage then defeating thousands of soldiers."

"Ok, that should work if all goes well." Markis looked about everyone that was there and noticed that no one had a bow with them. "Keeping the casualties down is always good. Some people are forced to fight, even if its not something they believe in." He folded up the map and placed it back int he pack, and handed it to Sara. "There is enough food and water in the pack to last three days. Even a few medical supplies in case anyone gets hurt. If there is nothing else, I will have some one get a bow and a few arrows for you before you head out."
Varnis looked about, something seemed odd. The trees rustled as a chill wind blew throughout the small village. Looking out into the trees, he saw a small dark figure run off into the forest before it quickly vanished. Standing up some one gave him a short bow and a quiver with a few arrows. "I'd like to head out soon. The faster we get this done, the better." He turned back to the group. Something about this just didn't seem right. He couldn't shake the feeling.

Sara wondered where Erik found such a poison but dismissed it with a slight shiver. She shucked the backpack onto her back and got ready. "I'm following you two." She stated and stepped outside in the light moonlight. She was prepared to kill the general by any means necessary if it would save the village from another fight. But still she couldn't shake the fact that what she was doing was dishonorable. If you killed a man you were meant to do it open combat.

Mia noticed that the attack was from fire nation and wondered why the fire nation did such a thing. "This is horrible, have I came from my village in the mountains, just to find out that the world below is at war." Mia saw a camp from the hight she was at. "Most likely the attackers camp." It was night and Mia was starting to have difficult seeing where she was flying so she decided to land. "Well the trees here are to small for me to land in so........" Mai noticed a fire place with people around it in the partly burned village. "I wonder are those survivors of the attack." Mai decided to find out. She landed near by behind a half burned hut and turned back into her semi human form. Before she walked out to talk to the people around it she stopped and wondered, "have these people ever seen someone of my kind before. Well I guess I'll find out, won't I." Mia then walked out of the darkness.

((The Sweet Tigris. We are not inside a hut, we are actually around a fire place in the middle of the village. Unless you where just knocking on a random hut door, then my mistake.))

"One thing before we head out: I'd like to break into the fort's armory. I have reason to believe a certain item is held there that may change the course of this entire war..." Erik turned as he heard footsteps, drawing his blade. "Who's there? Show yourself!"

Sara stared at Erik while he spoke and whirled to look at the half-bird woman that came into the light. "Greetings, I do hope you are from the Air nation?" She asked as she thought about the odd appearance with wings. She looked at Erik's drawn sword and snorted. "It's obvious she is not with the fire nation." She said in a tone with a bit of steel behind it. She didn't trust the woman but figured they might as well welcome her. "My name's Sara." She stated and stared the newcomer in the eye.

Surprised that they didn't over react as she thought they would Mia introduced herself. "Hello, I am sorry for startling you, my name is Mia and I am from the village in the high mountains. None of you probably have heard of it because no one has left my village for generations." Mia made sure to keep an eye on the man with the sword in his hands. "Nice to meet you Sara. Sorry you probably are wondering why I am here, well I noticed that some fire nation attacked this village...........I am just wondering............ are the nations at war?"

Markis stood up and turned to the half bird girl. "No need to draw your sword Erik." He looked at Erik, then looked back to Mia. "Its a long story but... you are correct, the nations are at war. Normally, this village likes to stay out of the affairs of other nations. We house people from all the nations who do not want to be part of the war. The fire nation attacked us not too long ago, and we need to prevent another attack as they will attack us again if we do stay passive as we are now."
Varnis watched everyone as they talked. He didn't have anything to say, as it was all said.

Erik didn't sheath his blade, instead, he stuck the blade into the ground. He could easily grab his sword if anyone got any ideas. "We must head out soon. The longer we delay, the more chance that Lente has of sending a stronger force-if he hasn't already. That's his style, send out a small skirmish force to test the enemy's strength, then send the big army to crush them. Anyway, Mia, I know you aren't under Lente's command. He places no value in strategy and tactics." Erik wasn't lying, Lente's strategist had fallen ill, and Lente himself knew no other tactic then ordering the full army to attack. Lente didn't use assassins or other stealth fighters, that would be beneath Lente. Erik grabbed his sword and sheathed the blade. No need to have the sword out just yet.

Sara sighed at Erik's dramatics. "I doubt the Fire nation could mobilize so quickly. But we better hurry anyway, the sooner the better. Especially since a well stocked army can cause more trouble with no leadership than one with little food." She motioned for Markis to talk to her in private a few feet away. She moved off and away from the light.

Mai thought for a while, "so it seems they are about to do an assault, hum..... I wonder if there really is a war going on what side would be the one to be on. No, I would rather not be part of this war, my father said to me wars are what lead to the end of civilizations. But I can't just sit by and let what happen to this village happen to mine. Sorry father but I must protected our village." She then looked at the man who had first spotted her. "You must be plaining on attacking the fire nation camp; when I was in my eagle form I saw where that camp was. If there is anything I can do to help I will. If there really is a war going on I must help to make sure this war will not reach my village." She then pointed to the sword on her back, "this sword you know isn't for show, I can use it. Also I can be a good spy while in eagle form even though I only have one eye." Mia pointed to her eye patch.
